So i bought one yesterday, what caught me off guard is when my girlfriend and I mentioned to the sales man that we were interested in a tesla still he gave us the choice to test drive the new model 3 after we finished test driving this. When we got into the tesla it was a clear second place, the tesla just felt so small and cheap with it's materials in comparison.
The new brand thing is a red herring ZEEKR is part of GEELY who own VOLVO and POLESTAR. So unlike BYD and XPENG the Mother group already has service infrastructure in many countries. Plus ALL 3 brands are designed in the same design studio in Gothenburg Sweden. Then all engineered and manufactured in China.
I'm currently driving a BYD E2 and looking to upgrade. Was originally planning to go for a BMW i3 Edrive 40L but now thinking of the Zeerk 007, it appears to have a lot more for the money!
Because China has a complete electric vehicle supply chain, the cost of manufacturing an electric vehicle in China is much lower than in other countries. For example, the Volkswagen ID3, the price of the same car in China is only half that of Germany.
Let's be real, prices in western countries will be around 44.5k for the base and 54.5k for the AWD big battery version. The 550km sound like a lot, but they actually aren't. Just for comparison a Volkswagen ID.4 Pro with most aerodynamic trim options has an WLTP range of 550km and costs 48.5k. In some countries in Europe Volkswagen is offering a special promition, which brings down the price to just 40.5k. A Tesla Model 3 has 500km WLTP and costs 45.5k. So yes, the Zeekr 007 is cheaper than a Tesla Model 3, but lets be frank, Tesla is super outdated at this point and charge way too much for their vehicles. The Zeekr 007 is not the groundbreaking bargain people think it is, at least not outside China. The specs itself are impressive though and Zeekr will be a good premium option to choose from.
The car is pure tofu garbage. I wouldn't take it for free... They all break down all the time for various reasons. The reason it's so cheap is because it's heavily subsidized by the CCP and they still lose $10k per car sold. But even with all the subsidizes, it still only feels like a $20k car. If you look at how it was designed on the inside, you would see that it was put together like crap using the worst materials. There are videos of people taking the car apart where you can see for yourself why it's so cheap
Looks very good, lets hope for some good prizes in Europa and not like the Byd Seal, and that it is possible to adjust the indicator sound which is insane loud.

That price is lower than the price of the entry trim of a BYD Dolphin in Colombia, which is around 42k USD. It’ll never reach my country but just to put on the perspective. I think what they should do is to sell EVs without the batteries, at least give it a try. (Yes, the idea is to buy and ensamble the battery later). That would also provide with enough engineering and infrastructure for easy replacement later.

I remember the IM L6 also has an amazing motor. Would love to get your view on some of the tech and how things are developing… keep up the good work, always look forward to your videos..
one of the wildest cars i ever seen and what incredible value. 0-60 in 3 seconds would have been lamborghini level performance back in 00s, and a lot more uncomfy to drive daily. the customizable led headlights had my jaw drop, what a brilliant design feature i have never seen that. has a huge impact on the look of the car.
As the owner of Chinese electric vehicles, I must point out that the texture of BYD is completely uncompetitive. Maybe it is no problem in other countries, but with so many electric vehicle manufacturers in China, they lack some quality😂😂😂

The BMW i3 has two different types in China. The first type is the i3 as you would perceive, a tin pot little car. The second type is a BMW 3 with just engine switched to motor, they are named completely identical and I have seen both in real life. Thought it was a global thing😂😂😂

I was in Thailand recently and rode a CFMOTO bike, Chinese made. I thought it was over 10 years old as the paint had worn, rust, and generally looked old but it was only 2 years old. Please review this car after 2 years of use.
Lol cars and bikes are different 😂 and this is a pure EV which doesn't have complex parts like gas cars and no need to be serviced like gas cars. Plus most of the Tesla's are also made in china
The BMW has higher rear seats because it's an old ICU platform car. Unless you build in a foot garage, like Porsche does, every skateboard platform car will have this issue.
Just get this battery technology in cheaper cars pls. I need a 20k 500km hatchback here in europe. Od be fine with a sedan as well but ... Im a price first guy
Dude you are way too conservative and frankly I would never buy Mercedes. The most important aspect is ZEEKR new LFP battery that appears to be very similar to CATL's Shenxing battery. ZEEKR boasts the battery is all done in-house but the question is did they pay CATL for the formula?
Interesting car, don't like the seats, either front or rear. They don't appear comfortable and they are not beautiful like the ones you can find, for example, on the BYD Seal, or Avatr models. Seats are very important, I don't understand why Zeekr ruined this great car with those seats.
unless you've sat on the seat isn't it hard to give a objective assessment? Having sat in a Seal (the seats look like too much is going on imho) & Avatr I would say they are more comfortable than Tesla. Although the Tesla seats look fine. Thats my case in point
well how about you elaborate 😂 Charging speed much faster than M3, 870km CLTC range vs M3 700km CLTC. 10-80% charging speed in 15 mins. The performance version can do 0-100 in 2.8 seconds. Interior seems nicer except lack of cabin space, which is sadly common in many chinese sedans... And the pricing for this car is still cheaper than the Tesla Model 3.
