You can drive GT3 and GT4 in Assetto Corsa Competizione, TCR in rFactor 2 and race room, and Le Mans prototype in Le Mans Ultimate and Automobilista 2, no need to mention Assetto Corsa which by installing couple of mods, can experience all these cars and tracks at once. The game also crashed on me once, where I had to reboot my PC. But It feels like this was one of the UE crashes I sometimes had in ACC too, before I turned down some gfx. (like the "UE4 Fatal Error - D3D Device Hung") I'm still hopefull for this game (and im upgrading my pc soonish anyway) but I only know now by watching this video, how look it has taken them and looking what is available now and in what state, i'm not thát enthousiastic anymore. 2 days ago I was sure of myself of buying the founders pack and this could very well be thé future sim, but after an hour on track, it didn't convince me to buy the founders pack anymore. Kinda sad that it's because of their own doing, I am currently not investing my money, and time anymore untill I have seen some real and decent progress.
Can't launch the game from Moza Pithouse, it says the game failed to intialize the required data, however if I launch it from Epic, then I can't setup my wheel. Can only bind turn left or right, can't do both.
I just downloaded the beta free through Epic and.... it's interesting. I don't know what's up but the steering wheel is being turn in my hands for me to start corners. I don't know if its a FFB issue with road camber or what
Was wondering if you guys could do a in-depth ffb tutorial for this game as I found setting it up for my csl DD very frustrating. No matter what I tried I found the ffb wanted to break my wrists, surprisingly more so coming out of the slower corners rather than mid and high speed ones. Overall nothing ever felt right with ffb so don't want to discount the game before I know how it should actually feel.
Okay so, I don't have a key or a machine that can run it but what does it do differently from other titles, or in other words, what is its unique hook to get people to want to play instead of iRacing, rF2, etc? All I'm seeing is it's too similar to the competition and hoping to get players. It needs, IMO to stand out. LMU did this by doing something different, Rennsport isn't doing that at all is it?
As always playing something that is in development, whether it's closed beta, open beta, early access or whatever. You will be playing an an unfinished product and there will be stuff missing, mostly a lot of it. I actually really like driving around some of the cars in Rennsport, like the Praga for example. But when you start comparing this to the fully released sims on the market. It falls short of everyone of them. Raceroom, Automobilista 2, Assetto Corsa, ACC, iRacing. All of them are better games than Rennsport, at least for now.
In a world where products are rushed out half finished and full of bugs, it's kind of refreshing to see a company take its time to get things right. Of course, they do still need to get things right... time will tell I guess.
I’ve never seen anyone say anything good about this game. In fact, I mostly see people giving their closed beta keys away. A year ago I had high hopes this game could be a better, more up to date, iRacing. Unfortunately, I’ve completely lost that hope or any interest at all.
Last time I tryied this, it suffered a lot from UE5 engine performance problems, blurry, ugly, pop in shadows, not appealing at all. Tire model felt nice tho.
I pretty much had zero interest in this game, tryed Beta today. I think might have potential. Iracing nickeled and dime the $hit out of people when it was in 1st first few years, and had very few polished perks. No leagues, no working pits, horrible UI, tracks where like 25 bucks lol. No idea what this game will be but id lay off bashing it before it gets started.
I love it but for some reason my Moza R5.. SPAZZES on the the road feel. I've tweaked in game and in MOZA App settings and it vigorously shakes my whole setup ahah
I played it over the weekend and all I can say is the free content is really decent especially the GT3’s and GT4’s. I don’t feel tempted by what they are selling though.. I mean I’d be happy to donate in order to support but paying 40€ for a track+car+skins and badges would make me feel so stupid..
FFB is broken on fanatec wheels, there is no in corner feel at all. This game just feels slapped together and the studio seems like they are just going to do a rug pull by the way they are doing things. Also they haven't done anything towards a matchmaking system so it's still way off a early access but they don't see to think so.
I have had a beta key for well over a year now and still never felt enticed (i was a little at first hence the request) to try it out, honestly id rather try LMU. Personally for now ill stick with ACC for GT3 racing and i still love AC and RRE for anything else, the TCR's in that are still unmatched to this day, despite how old the sim is now. I have hopes for Rennsport, just not keen on the business model as it stands .. This could change of course, maybe another three years will tell..
As a lover of sim racing, somehow my "hope" for this game is keeping me interested... I just wonder how long that will last. I like the idea of "owning" the cars, but I'm just a little unsure what that means for the user's enjoyment of the game... like, why will that make it more fun? (Not saying it won't, just not exactly sure how yet)
it is possible somehow to remove this game completely from steam account ? because I took it unwillingly and now I can not find anywhere the option to remove it from my steam account
It seems like the evin thing will imply selling cars like how forza used to do things. Kind of hoping so cause I used to buy used in forza to save, though it'll probably go the other way
I'm not touching this for anything. This whole company have been suspect from the beginning and feels like a scam. I smell "Let's make a lot of money off of suckers." all over it, and there thing about owning the cars has got me thinking of nfts.
I was one of the ones who received a closed beta key, and was deeply disappointed with the graphics. Prior to this, I had been spending time enjoying the great visual experience offered by AMS2. Despite the issues with graphics, and how their 'recommended' hardware requirements don't even seem to come close to what is needed to run this game properly, I must say that a totally disagree with the notion that the cars seem off. This is the closest thing to a real car that is available. Some come close, but Rennsport is head and shoulders above them. To say that the driving experience is off, betrays the authors lack of driving experience, irl. If you think that iRacing or ACC offers a realistic driving experience, then we know that you don't have much 'actual' seat time.
Can we PLEASE have a moment to talk about how crap the optimization in this game is? Not everyone has an RTX 4090, RTX 4080, hell even a 4070 ti... Most people have 4060s, 3060s, even 2060s... What's the point in spending money in a game if it's just going to run at an unplayable FPS? I was getting 18 FPS in Spa in this game... Why in the hell would I pay for this "experience" when I can just start up my modded AC which easily runs at over 100 FPS? Edit: Forgot to mention, but AC also has excellent gamepad support, there are even mods that enhance it further. Native gamepad support in this game is GARBAGE. Huge deadzones in the center, thanks to the lazy X360 controller input implementation (PS4/other controllers not natively recognized by the game and have to be emulated), plus the steering animation for some reason is choppy, like it's running at half the FPS... We gamepad players pay as well, so it's only fair to have the same treatment as those expensive wheel users.
I've been trying the beta for some time alongside my son and it's been a very mixed bag and ultimately a disappointment. They still haven't got the basic handling/physics right, some cars are better than others and it keeps changing with each patch, quite often for the worse and it's still way off ACC or even AC. It's a shame because if they put some effort in it could be good.
Even if the game was good, you still need a reason for iracing, acc, ac evo, rfactor 2 and other sim players why it’s rennsport is worth playing more, and i can’t see any such reason so far And free to play means they’ll have to make money elsewhere, likely from selling additional cars and tracks at ridiculous prices
I got sick of hearing about this game pretty soon after it was announced. I was excited for another Sim at first, but then I realised they were more focused on holding competitions for an unfinished game than they were on getting the damn thing out in the open. Did they seriously expect us to care about an eSports environment for a Sim that 95% of the community can't even play? I understand the pay model, a lot of us here play iRacing. But seriously, a game that unfinished already trying to raid your pockets just feels dirty. At this point, I just don't care about Rennsport anymore and I stopped caring a long time ago. It only has a handful of cars which cost an eye watering amount of money, it's in what seems like development hell with the developers thinking we care more about watching eSports than trying the Sim ourselves. Besides, even if it were to drop right now, it would have to do something extremely special to compare with iRacing after the tempest update. It's all too little too late. This game will fade into obscurity before it even launches. Mark my words.
Started watching this video, until the point where you say that Rennsport uses the same ISI engine as Race 07, GT Legends and Raceroom. It does not. It uses the same one as rFactor 2 and LMU, or at least a version very, very close to that.
Geez, everyone just toeing the party line here. I played it last night and it is fine. Not the best but very playable. Plenty of online races scheduled when i was on, but the driving standards are pretty crazy at the moment. Relax everyone, they're not trying to steal your money, its just slow on the development side
Its been disappointing since getting access to it. FFB Feels wrong, No Triple Screen Support (non planned) and horribly optimised. Ive already written it off completely.

What niches do you want exactly? Touring cars? Classics? Formulas? Most games that don't focus on one series/class (LMU, ACC) already have some variety
I think we don’t need Rennsport - doesn’t feel very good and I have more hope to get LMU as a new big Sim title. Has way better FFB and feeling than Rennsport.
Well if we can't do offline AI racing with this game, it does not interest me in the least bit. I don't have the time for online racing like I did years ago. The game also crashed on me once, where I had to reboot my PC. But It feels like this was one of the UE crashes I sometimes had in ACC too, before I turned down some gfx. (like the "UE4 Fatal Error - D3D Device Hung")
I'm still hopefull for this game (and im upgrading my pc soonish anyway) but I only know now by watching this video, how look it has taken them and looking what is available now and in what state, i'm not thát enthousiastic anymore.
Why can't I figure out how to download early access on steam. I can only add to wishlist and I've already done that
Im not paying for my name on Nurburgring and skins for cars, this will be like skins in COD
I don't know if its a FFB issue with road camber or what
I'll stick with ACC and iRacing for now, also praying for dedicated server support for LMU 🤞
Force feedback on my Thrustmaster TX wheel feels disconnected sadly. As it stands now, I will be holding off on purchasing this sim.
My Tip. Don’t waste your time
Don't bother, the physics just aren't there yet to support good FFB anyway, spend your time on more developed sims whilst you wait for ACE.
we cant even race AI its a joke 55 quid for a founders pack and cant even have a race against ai
LMU did this by doing something different, Rennsport isn't doing that at all is it?
its plausible the unreal engine may handle racing titles better with better netcode, but thats a big hypothetical
@@thinkandrepent3175 if ACC is to go by with UE4 I wouldn't count on it
Racing-UA-camr starting off the video saying "Braking News!".
All of them are better games than Rennsport, at least for now.
the best is the Triple screen support ^^
:-(
In a world where products are rushed out half finished and full of bugs, it's kind of refreshing to see a company take its time to get things right. Of course, they do still need to get things right... time will tell I guess.
guys i cant start a Race. Do you also have this problem?
"Progress is slower than Checo after his contract extension" is diabolical 😂
I tried the closed beta for a while but just didn't really connect with it.
I am so glad you guys are back!!
Does anyone know of a racing game that uses quest 3 controllers only, like in VTOLVR?
It has been confusing right from the start
Triple screen support?
I’ve never seen anyone say anything good about this game. In fact, I mostly see people giving their closed beta keys away. A year ago I had high hopes this game could be a better, more up to date, iRacing. Unfortunately, I’ve completely lost that hope or any interest at all.
I tried it for a couple hours it felt like acc with the icy slippy tires but it was better then I expected but really empty
I won't install the epic games launcher for this mid game
Last time I tryied this, it suffered a lot from UE5 engine performance problems, blurry, ugly, pop in shadows, not appealing at all. Tire model felt nice tho.
Can't think of a single reason anyone should pay money for or even play this long-purported game over the many alternatives available.
What other sim you drive then ?
Great Take!
I think I never cared less about a new simracing game.
Shiny skins 🤣
Thanks for this, good overview
I pretty much had zero interest in this game, tryed Beta today. I think might have potential. Iracing nickeled and dime the $hit out of people when it was in 1st first few years, and had very few polished perks. No leagues, no working pits, horrible UI, tracks where like 25 bucks lol. No idea what this game will be but id lay off bashing it before it gets started.
Does it have mouse steering?
not sure about this, acc evo gonna blow this out for sure
Why would they release this on EPIC? Do they not want people to play their SIM?
Same
ummm...I can't start the damn car! WTF? I press ignition but nothing moves!
Kind of hoping so cause I used to buy used in forza to save, though it'll probably go the other way
I’m sorry but not establishing the sim and its community before pushing these major events is just ass backwards.
I cant play it on controller can someone help pls?
is it gonna avaible for ps
We gamepad players pay as well, so it's only fair to have the same treatment as those expensive wheel users.
ac2 is soon maybe they wanna try to compete with them but I don't think they have a chance
Even if the game was good, you still need a reason for iracing, acc, ac evo, rfactor 2 and other sim players why it’s rennsport is worth playing more, and i can’t see any such reason so far
And free to play means they’ll have to make money elsewhere, likely from selling additional cars and tracks at ridiculous prices
When the beta build feels unfinished 🤯🤯
Grafics a little fuzzie i can not read the road signs
Maybe it is my card ? GTX 1080.
Driving feels good😁
I got sick of hearing about this game pretty soon after it was announced.
I'm sharpening my knifes as we speak for when I get home later! ;)
I vant seem to get my ps4 controller to work with the beta . No bueno
Started watching this video, until the point where you say that Rennsport uses the same ISI engine as Race 07, GT Legends and Raceroom. It does not. It uses the same one as rFactor 2 and LMU, or at least a version very, very close to that.
A quick Google suggests you're incorrect.. Pretty sure ISI is used for all of the above
How to run VR in rennsport now?
From their notes:
"Add -vr to Epic Launch Options to enable"
@@WromWrom yeah but where it is?)
Ive already written it off completely.
og AC will not be displaced. Especially by an open beta.
Tried it last week, so not the latest version. But it just feels crap..... ffb feels like they put gravel in the wheelbase, sound is god awful....
You had me until "available in the epic games store"
I am on this boat too. Let them come to steam and then we might talk about it.
Just download the launcher how hard is it bruh 😭😭😭💀💀
@@therealf.b.i9468 let me add it to the list of 25 other independent games launchers out there....
no, nevermind. i don't want to do that again for one game.
@@therealf.b.i9468It is a shitty launcher and Epic lost me when they started to buy exclusivity for games that were wishlisted much on Steam.
This game will fail if it will be only on Epic and maybe even when it comes to Steam 😅

Yes competition, I love competition!
Tested the closed Beta, cool to have other types of cars but thats as far as the pros go, until its complete its just a big publicity hype , last year when i understood who is behind this ( dubai finance company) . From empty races and meaningless handling trying to be all types of sims , mix of Test drive and Forza , not close to iRacing , La mans ultimate ,rFactor2 , raceroom or ACC . My eyes on Assetto Corsa 2 .
Lmu Is a 90% of rf2 and don't have a vr and It Is ok..... Very objective
it can be used in VR with a command
I don't understand why A. Every racing game now needs to be a sim, but more importantly why B. Basically all of them feel the need to be the exact same GT racing game.
Why can't they ever do anything different or unique to fill literally any niche outside gt3?
@JZStudiosonline plenty of non Sims racing games... forza GT7 Mario kart are all on the same category
@@jorgeblasini123 None of that makes sense. Also Forza and GT7 both still have the GT cars and the same tracks.
@@JZStudiosonline it makes complete sense. GT nor Forza are sims.
What niches do you want exactly? Touring cars? Classics? Formulas? Most games that don't focus on one series/class (LMU, ACC) already have some variety
Automobilista is probably the most unique sim racer we've got so far
Genuinely have been looking forward to this game/sim.. But seriously underwhelmed
if it doesnt come out on steam, i wont try it, even if its free. nothing from epic games will touch my pc.
Couldnt give it a try.
The game crashes systematically on startup.😢
I think we don’t need Rennsport - doesn’t feel very good and I have more hope to get LMU as a new big Sim title. Has way better FFB and feeling than Rennsport.

Well if we can't do offline AI racing with this game, it does not interest me in the least bit. I don't have the time for online racing like I did years ago. Plus it only has 4 tracks that I give a hoot about. So, they can keep their silly game. I have 5 other great similar SIM racing games I enjoy.
I dont get why i would play this mediocore game when i can also play raceroom, ac, acc iracing and automobilista
You don't have to...
Starting to look like the Star Citizen of racing sims... Gross
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so....I gave up a month ago trying to get into anything decent car-wise...the LMP cars are just....meh.
