How to replace a leaking outdoor faucet vacuum breaker

A leaking vacuum breaker is usually easy to replace if you don't have a set screw to worry about. Otherwise you may have to drill out or cut out the set screw.

The easiest option is to drill it out. Just be careful not to drill too deeply or you’ll destroy the threads on the faucet

It is suppose to break once you install the Bib. However if you wanna change it then you have to saw it with a rotary blade and replace with a new one. Don’t be scared it happens all the time

Safe way is use a rotary tool like a dremel to cut a slit in middle of the screw just deep enough for flat head screwdriver to fit in order to unscrew the nut
