Are there different sizes? Just got one from Homedepot cause I was trying to fix it today and not in a couple days, they sold me the only size they had and its too small.
The description in my long form video (linked in the short) provides the info for the specific part I ordered. I wouldn’t take a chance on a generic part that might not fit.
@@LongologoProductions no a cheaper one I found at Home Depot, wanted to see if it would work. I just ordered the other one off Amazon. Hopefully that one works. Did you put yours on hand tight?
Well, it took you seconds……..it took us a couple of hours. Back and forth to different hardware stores to get the right size of vacumn breaker kit……..we bought 2 at Home Depot and 1 at Kent…….we finally got one to fit…….3rd trip to Home Depot to get yet another size……….I wish I’d know there were “sizes”😂 We turned off the main water valve to get the work done. Now we have a leaky tap😂
Wow! I noted on the long form video the specific part I used, because the generic parts at some stores are hit or miss as you unfortunately, found out the hard way. Glad it worked out in the end though.
If you don’t have a dedicated valve to stop the water supply to the hose bib in question then yes you definitely need to shut off your main valve before doing this.
The info is in the description of the long form of this video. Reproduced here: The replacement parts kit is available on Amazon: search ASIN # B08QTYQTK8. It is the "PROFLO PF74VBKIT PROFLO PF74VBKIT Vacuum Breaker Repair Kit for PF73 and PF74 Series". It comes with a replacement faucet handle, which I also replaced in the video.
I thought I had to replace the entire faucet and was about to call a plumber. This fixed it perfectly, thank you so much!!
Followed your instructions and it worked! I was about to call a plumber for this easy fix. Thank you so much 🙏🏼
Awesome! I need one of those repair kits bad
THANKS!!!
Thank you. This is important stuff. Hot to put my pink hard hat on and get this fixed. 😊😊😊
Anyone know this faucet brand? I have the exact same faucet but it’s leaking at handle

What about if it's leaking from the knob that turns it on? Same style as the one in this video.
Probably different part. Not sure.
Do you have solution if its leaked from the handle?
Different part (cartridge/gasket) or replacement faucet.
I bought the repair kit from Home Depot and replaced it a today and it’s still leaking out of the top lol!! I swear I can’t win
Was it the same kit as I noted or a different one? Use the one I linked.

@@LongologoProductions your video saved me calling a plumber. Our outside tap was sooooo old……lol Your video was super and I appreciated the help.
Is there a slightly smaller version of this? It's just slightly too big for my faucet. It's the second one I've purchased too :(
I’m not sure - you have to find the specific faucet you have to track down the correct parts.
Do i need to shut off main valve before doing this?

Just saved me a call to the plumber 👍
Can you send me the link for the repair kit?
