    This interview showed how people like Douglass here made so much out out of Stevie's blindness, so much so that Douglass talks about it throughout the entire interview. But years later when Stevie released brilliant musical albums Innervisions, Talking Book and Songs in the Key of Life, people were able to get beyond his :"handicap" and view him as the musical genius that he truly was.

    I remember the Mike Douglas show. I also remember Stevie Wonder in 1969 his hit song My Cherie Amour.

    It's amazing that he was only a 12 year old kid when he debuted, and by the end of the decade, he became a fully grown man.

      It still is used today in healthcare, a disability is the condition itself, a handicap is a circumstance made more difficult by the disability.

      I understand why people might be upset about the terms, but that's what it is you cant sugar coat the truth to a person who is recently being diagnosed with permeant blindness

      Nah he can sense it. Even people with sight can sense objects in front of them with their eyes closed. Plus when your blind your senses can be trained to be heightened. So I think that’s why he did it

      @@blaqdrag_9936 Humans are no different from other animals who have five senses, sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. No other sense exists, that's why you can't show me an evidence that people can "sense things" without using their eyes.
