- Lyrics:
Crowded streets are cleared away
One by one
Hollow heroes separate
As they run
You're so cold
Keep your hand in mine
Wise men wonder While
Strong men die
Show me how it ends. It's alright
Show me how defenseless you really are
Satisfied and empty inside
Oh, that's alright, let's give this another try
If you find your family, don't you cry
In this land of make-believe, dead and dry
You're so cold, but you feel alive
Lay your hands on me one last time
Show me how it ends. It's alright
Show me how defenseless you really are
Satisfied and empty inside
Oh, that's alright, let's give this another try
Show me how it ends. It's alright
Show me how defenseless you really are
Satisfied and empty inside
Oh, that's alright, let's give this another try
It's alright (9x)
Freshman year of HS for me (2004). Listening to this on the bus to school in the morning every day. 30 this year. Some of this music is so timeless. I miss the late 90s, early 00s like nobody else.
Listening to So Cold on foggy mornings around 6 am is an experience in of itself. I'd do it every day if I could.

The internet is a cool thing
@Black Flame
It's still the early 2000s, dumbass. Will be until 2500.

They would make me angrier ☺
Its aaaallllRRRRRIIIIIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT
@@rhpslover1220 hey :)
i love this song so much because of the feelings he bring into this song it sounds so fckn real on my headphones
Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Thousand Foot Krutch and Nickelback are some of the greatest bands that helped cheer me up in my sad times AND in my happy times. I don't give a damn what other people like these days, I'll always love rock and metal till my last breath.
Bro I feel you. Breaking benjamin, avenged sevenfold, nickelback, and submersed got me through a breakup 15 years ago. When I listen to it again now I listen with appreciation.

This song was played to honor the life of a fallen friend…Tears coming into the eyes as this is played.

R.i.p to emotions well earned
I hope you’re doing well ❤
The very end when he sings” it’s alright , it’s alright, it’s alright “gets me every time and is my favorite part. Love this song always.
Same! Love it! 🔥
right like it's not alright
I remember crying in my bed when I was around 6 and my dad came in my room and played this on my stereo. Mood lifted immediately :)
The kind of dad ill probably be
Lol 6yo girl crying in her bed for no reason is just hilarious
That's a good dad.

"wise men wonder, while strong men die"
what a quote 🤘
weak !
Spartan law. Not very revelatory.
@@PD5K because everyone knows spartan law
Remember in the movie Troy where Achilles said “War is old men talking and young men dying.” Sigh
until the wise guy finds a bear or something that is why i try to be both
The sad thing is,this younger generation believes people of my age don't appreciate this music,BTW,I'm 63,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,This shit roooooocks....Let's give this another try to bridge the gap of generations.
Rock on dude 😊
Go man, my grandpa listena to sam smith
+Bungerism get it grampa
the problem is that most elderly people are narrow minded and unwilling to accept change. thats the problem, the generation gap. but who can blame them? that was just the mentality they grew up with.
+Bungerism i to am one of these younger generation but dam i am really disapointed in me kind sorely disapointed
Man I remember seeing these guys before they got famous.
Went to a tiny club, maybe 200 people max and there was this band called Plan 9 playing....(they soon changed their name to Breaking Benjamin)
I asked the bartender there "who the hell are these guys?"
As soon as I heard them, I knew they were gonna do big things.
Plan 9 was the precursor of B.B. That's An amazing story. With Ben's writing skill they can reach pat the stars. They have what it takes to be one of (imo the best) bands of all time
There’s something so mystical about their sound that has captivated me throughout the years. Like the intro, it just builds this atmosphere. My favorite part of it is actually the simple but mysterious lead that starts 13 seconds in. I can just see this being played on a mountain while it gently snows.
Intro is my favorite
The intro is just too sick man.
I listened to this on repeat on the Xbox 360 while playing the old call of duty games
The way the guitars talking is making me wet. It’s like they’re teasing me
I'm a hip hop dude but this song is fuckin sick man...
Jesse T.
Hell yeah!
-Wallenstein- this gets me in the zone...
I like both hip hop and metal/rock. They both have sick beats and musical tunes.
Can not love it

That bassline when the full band kicks in though. Godly.
I found this song on accident like 18 years ago while trying to find a different song with the same name, that instrumental intro shook me then and still does now
This song kept me alive in times of severe addiction back in the early 2000's. The drums, the intro, the guitar...all top notch. Almost 20 years later and I'm finally going to see them perform tomorrow. Thank you BB.. Your music did more for me than you know
Ditto
Same brother 🤘
Just imagine... 2842 year Anno Domini... This song still not forgotten. People listening this like a gothic rhymes founded on the wisdom of an ancients. The flow will never die...
The 1 minute instrumental build up is why I love this song so much. Sucks that it's shortened on the music video/radio edit.
If you like long intros, check out some Gojira, they have longer instrumental parts than an entire radio song XD
Art of dying and Flying whales recommended :-)
@@qoilmdimibmliopqoilmdimibm7589 Gojira is fucking awesome. 🤘🎸🔥

@@qoilmdimibmliopqoilmdimibm7589 I would recommend Lorna Shore. They released a new album called Pain Remains this year and it's fucking awesome.
Yeah the intro is awesome.
The drop in the beginning is the best part wow what a rush this song brings!!
My favorite part is the finale of this song when the lead singer does a madness mantra by saying "it's alright" over and over. Fantastic song!
If you’re stuck in 2020 like I am don’t worry. Just listen to the good old songs. Heaven has a plan for us

Welcome to Breaking fucking Benjamin dude. Can't get any better then this imo
@@drewabbott6993 check out dear agony, firefly, diary of jane, polyamorous, i will not bow, there are many more i can't even think of atm. this band has a great sound overall.
Same here bro, i am hardcore rap fan too but for me rap and rock/metal/punk is life itself. I grow up with rebel music, being a rebel is forever not just your teen years. Well i don't have the mohawk anymore i used to have a huge one about 30 cm long.
This was one of the last songs my dad jammed with me a few months ago in my car (Feb. 25th 2019). He died the next day and this reminds me of him. Life is crazy and precious

What a great song to immortalize his remembrance
I heard this song for the first time when I was in my Junior year of High School (this was around April/May 2019), our Algebra teacher would always put her music while we did our assignments and this song came on and I love it, but the issue was I couldn't hear the song properly (she had it at low volume). I spend like an hour searching the song on YT based on what I could barely hear, I remember typing "show me how to live without you lyrics" and I didn't find it, eventually I gave up but the verse stayed in my brain for 3 years until now. Long story short, my sister was listening to the rock station on the tv and this song was playing and that's how i finally learned the title of the song after 3 years 😭

And you wonder why us Vets love Breaking Benjamin... or do you?
I have been listening to Breaking Benjamin for 2 years and their are so many songs I have not listened to yet. This was one of them and man was I missing out! This song is amazing!
very intense passionate music...even if it is negative its still beautiful...because lets face it... not everything in life is positive...I miss music like this...its real talent ...unlike today's soulless boring repetitive trash...
I FUCKING HATE WHATS ON THE RADIO
+Soya22181 I must agree to this!
+Soya22181 not really sure how you cant say this isnt repetitive, in fact this seems like one of thee most basic formats for a song. I bet you dont look real hard for "new" music cause theres plenty of bands that put out great shit that are relatively new, especially "local bands"
+jklatman i think he's reffering to pop. Pop is now just singing about pride and a reflection of the singers vanity anymore. Pride isn't an emotion, it's a disease. Thus, why pop is seen by people who hold to more traditional music as "soulless".
i was pretty drunk when writing this and as i read it now it doesnt make the most sense. But i guess what im getting at is the repetitive stuff, cause theres a lot of shit that repeats in here in such a short time frame
Absolutely outstanding, so original and creative, can't stop admiring BB's songwriting

Listen to Tool-Shizm. You will love it
Heard this one the radio today, didn't know what the song was called, remembered the phrase "You're so cold, but you feel alive" - Googled that, and sure enough led me here, to the right song, gotta love Google huh?
What kind of radio are you listening to? Never listened to a rock radio station, maybe I could find other good songs like this one

I had a fascination for faint, glowing, logos. Like the one in this video, as a kid in the 2000s. Nostalgic feeling.
Wow...I've always loved Breaking Benjamin's music. After having a read along with the lyrics on this one, it gave me shivers at one point.
This song will always give me chills.
Almost 20 years later… still gives me chills.
This song to me is about not giving up on hope despite immense suffering.
I've had this song stuck in my head for MONTHS and couldn't remember the title! I'm so glad I remembered it was Breaking Benjamin or I would have been screwed!
I knew of Breaking Benjamin for a long time but I only listened to their stuff starting today... and their AMAZING!!!
I remember when this song first played on the air and yes it still one of those songs that will never die..keep on keeping on
