Mooky nope, they have a style defined, every album is the same style but not the same at all, Saturate is heavy and moved, we are not alone is more heavy and personal, phobia is agresive and dark AF, Dear agony is even darker than phobia, in fact it's the most personal album and it's full of hate.
Dark Before Dawn is romantic and heavy, they use the riffs to communicate a message... And Ember... Well Ember is the album: Is full of hate, personal fights and everything else.
They are faithful to their style, but that doesn't mean they have no diversity.

Because imo for the most part the album is very formulaic, just a polished and recycled version of the music they've already done. This song is the exception, considering its rhythmic simplicity. Definitely a good album, just relatively lackluster given the standard they've put in place.

Wow... he has been through some shit between the last album and this song. Maybe last couple albums... It's so sad, it's poetry. I started tearing up at the things he was saying. He just always has and always will strike a chord with something I have personally felt, and it's like he knows me. This is why this type of music still remains. Thank you, Breaking Benjamin, for letting a dude know he's not alone.

Exactly. When you think of how society as a whole has become so entitled, demanding, truly heartless (the fall of HUMANKIND). If 2 people have different ideals, beliefs, values there is never a mutual respect that they agree to disagree. Instead it's more of this idea that one can force the other to believe in their way. It's ridiculous. This song, since the very 1st time I heard it gave me chills, same with ashes of eden for the same reason. I think every person on the planet needs to take some thi GSM away from this situation that we find ourselves in. 1st, we are ALL in this together, we are ALL in the same world together, and absolutely nothing is worth seeing other people go through this sort of thing. The one thing that most of us should also take notice of us that most of the worlds politicians aren't suffering through this. They'll get the tests and not have to wait, they all still draw a VERY large paycheck, while there are those without food, at no fault of their own. They still get groceries, and toilet paper, all of their comforts, while so many are suffering. I think we need to be a lot more kind to others, and stop taking everything in our lives for granted. I've definitely learned some things, and I think my teenage daughters have as well. This has been my prayer for about 8 years now, "Lord thank you for granting me the strength, wisdom and courage to bring me to where I am today! Please continue to grant me this so that I can make it through my next trial (hurdle). I actually opened my ears and my eyes to see the Lord all over in my life, and when I did, I don't dwell on the small things anymore. When I find myself stressed, I pray, this prayer, and I give it to him, and do find relief. I sure hope everyone struggling with this can fund their way, but remember you're not alone in this. God bless!

I think this might be the greatest song of all time, not just sound, but from a lyrical standpoint
This song and Anthem of the Angels were basically my go to songs during my depressed slump of Mid 2020-September 2021. They helped me in getting out all of the tears I needed to.
Even to this day, whenever I need to cry and let loose that emotion of sadness, I’ll play these songs to my heart’s content. So, in a way, I thank them for all of the help and Breaking Benjamin for making these excellent songs to begin with.
Anthem of the Angels and Dear Agony were my depression songs of choice when I was in my late teens.
This album may be the first one to truly rival phobia. Loved every album, and that hasn't changed. Wonderful job

I would say this is my third favorite, after Dear Agony and Phobia as first. This is still an amazing album, though
It's the most 1 dimensional album because for the first time it wasn't completely written and polished over by Ben like all the other albums in the past. Still a good album but you are seriously huffing glue if you think it's the best. Saturate is just completely genius as is We Are Not Alone and Phobia. Dear Agony and Dark Before Dawn are amazing. Ember makes Dark Before Dawn better though in my opinion.

Such a sad song when you stare at how prominent the eye stares with the flame in the middle. To me it's representing the soul and how it's dying. This song speaks of the failure of humankind and how we've lost our way. And still we desperately search for life in the nothingness we've created for ourselves. How we've had the gift of emotion and we use malevolence and greed to insult it daily. We have a very very evil side to all of us we should acknowledge so that we never become it. And to make us kinder than we've ever been, we should be now more than ever. "He who fights monsters should see to it he doesn't become one himself."
Jeffery Deloach That's a good way to see it. I think of a character I made called Oracle that would fit with this song. He's a spirit trapped in an impenetrable darkness that corrupts him and feeds on his obsession of someone he refused to let go of. Eventually he develops multiple personality disorder and manages to get free from the darkness, only to find that he is lost and must find a new path to walk.

For some reason I didn't understand this song at all at release but after listening to it over and over again it's become one of my absolute favourites from any of the albums. It's beautifully composed.

It kinda pisses me off that singers like Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber etc get hundreds of millions of views and REAL music like Breaking Benjamin's band make is so underrated. I guess the fanbase (us) have the most genuine taste in music. Not sure how many times I've repeated so far, thank you for this wonderful song!

They think this music is just there. Someone said that the haters hear the screaming (which there isn't any in this particular song), and the real fans hear the meaning.
