- After completing the LED fog-light upgrade (link below), I knew I needed to upgrade the stock headlight bulbs to make it all match. I was happy with the stock projector style housing that came on the Sport model RAMs, so I only wanted to do the bulb replacement. I decided to go with @sealight_official and their 9005 bulb LED Headlight kit. Everything went very smooth with the install and extremely happy with the results. It really lights up the night. Did you need the extended dust cover for these?
@connorparsons983 didn't need anything extra, was able to fit everything in the factory housing. Everything still working great. Thanks for watching.
Hey, any updates on your truck? Did you ever change to HIDs? Any issues with this brand? No errors ?
Hey there. I haven't swapped to the HIDs yet, although I think in the near future I'm going to do the swap in just the projector housing. The LEDs and this brand have been working great, no issues, no flickering, no dash lights, etc. They are very bright and still happy with them. I just think in the case of the projector housing HID is going to be the best option, so stay tuned or consider subscribing to check that one out. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
@@RaymondLamb awesome I’m going to do an order tonight, and just to confirm you didn’t have to program the truck to have LEDs? I ask because last time I tried they would shut off and I put back the oem ones.
@salgonzalez908 didn't have to do anything with my truck or my son's ram, we used the same ones for both and they were plug and play.

Also did lows/highs in my fathers 2016 ram 1500, no issues, thank you. Been running for the past 3 weeks.
@salgonzalez908 great to hear all is working good for you. I'm looking for a brand of HIDs for the projectors now, but still leaving the high beams alone. Glad you like them.
I did the exact same thing just returned the old kit, I’m a little confused did you put the 9005 high beams LED in both the projector and high beams slots ? Hoping to replace all four and the Amazon link you posted is just 2 high beam .
In my case with the projectors, all four were the 9005 bulbs, highs and lows. They changed the links up on me or the packages they offer, but yes, you should be good with all four if you have the projectors too. It's the regular quad style headlights where there are two different bulbs. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

Hid is best with projectors

Everything I looked into, I found the same thing. HID is better for projectors. Dezmond ain't wrong
I'm going to look into a set for the projector housing too. The output from the LED is fine, but I want it to be the best possible, and seems like HID is the way to go for this setup!

Nothing at all, had them in for a while now and everything still working perfect.
Your bulbs are not oriented correctly, the led chips should point in a 3 and 9 orientation.
Yes and No, they do say in the instructions that if you aren't happy with the beam pattern you may want to adjust the housing to align just like what you suggested. I think if I did change anything it would only be for the high beam, since the low beam is in the round projector style housing, I don't think it would matter honestly. I've been 100% happy with the coverage and output, so in my particular case, I'm going to leave as is. Someone else might not be happy with it though. Thanks for watching and the tip!
