My Son Tells Me A Story (C200 + Sigma 18-35 Handheld)

I filmed this at the beach with my kids. Testing the C200 mp4 codec. There is definitely banding in the sky, but I am more than happy with the result. I used a 1/4 black pro mist filter and color graded using a cineon conversion workflow with the impulz luts and tweaked to fit the story. Everything was shot in 4k 60 handheld. I wanted a very natural camera shake look. Some shots are shakier than I would prefer, but overall shooting handheld with the c200 is amazing ergonomically.

Lens- Sigma 18-35mm 1.8
Filter- Tiffen Black Pro Mist Filter 1/4
Color Grade- Fuji Superia 200 Cineon with Fuji D65

Absolutely LOVE this! i got two questions regarding the color: 1. with the mp4 codec, what preset(etc) did you use (wide dr, log, log3?)? and 2. did you color grade within davinci resolve using their stock film looks or something else?

Thank you! I used the wide dr and used a cineon conversion workflow with the impulz luts in premiere. It’s a bit different than slapping a lut on, but does a great job at getting the look I’m going for

Thanks for a beautiful video. I was told by a sales person at the camera store that the Sigma 18-35 is APSC, it doesn’t work with the C200’s. Clearly the person was mistaken ...?
