🤯🤯🤯 the feels. ALL THE FEELS. That intro was AMAZING.
EDIT: HOLY SMOKES thanks for the shoutout man! So glad you found the LUTs helpful!
MY DUDE! Honestly, would feel a lot more lost in the process of shooting with this camera if it weren't for you. Appreciate your input and help along the way, brother!!
That was beautiful my friend. Let's make a vid one day.
UM YES PLEASE
Really, my heart was bursting, seeing these crazy nice landscapes. Altough I am living in the Alps for 26 years now this Video made me aprechiate them so much more again.
So awesome. I hope everyone just catches a glimpse of how I felt that night while watching this. :)
Some of the the best Eric Floberg content to date. Oh and also the algorithm thing I normally comment
Means a lot, Braxton! Thanks so much!
Can't believe I got to watch this ART for free!! Stunning work :)
Ah, too kind! Thanks so much for watching!!
Out of all the Creatives in this platform apart from TaylorCut Films, Your videos either brings me to tears or it inspires my entire core as a creative. Thank you for taking us with you.
An older video by now but thanks for the breakdown of your process! I have to say, you have seriously upped your lighting and set game in the last couple of years for your newer videos ! Inspiring improvements there in such a short time period for someone like myself who is still learning those skills (esp. video lighting)
Love the footage man!
Thanks, Teppo! These mountains are probably not as impressive as all the ones I'm sure you've seen up in Scandinavia haha
Thanks, man for giving me hope! Right now in South Africa, the quarantine has also shut out most of my creative juices that a good lift me up is what I need to breathe again. Keep inspiring us!
One of my favorite creators. Period.
Too kind. Seriously, thanks so much, Josh. That means a ton to me. :)
DUDE THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL
THANKS FRIEND :)
AMAZING Shots! Beautiful music. Thanks for this! I have also an C200 and started with Tyler’s LUTs!
Man, I love that place, but never been there at that time of year. Making me want to go back. Thanks for transporting me there in the meantime. Miss you bro! Glad I finally had a chance to watch this.
Simply stunning footage....yet another bunch of reasons and epic scenery that makes me want to travel to the USA in the future. Thank you once again Eric for sharing your creative genius!! 🙏
Dude this film is so satisfying to watch! You're a weapon
Thom, that might be the coolest compliment I've ever received. Thanks for making me feel cool this morning. :)
honestly I love that you keep all your stutters in and shit haha. it makes it feel so good and less scripted
Absolutely beautiful man! I went to the Tetons last year and it was so cloudy and rainy we couldn't see the 'Teets'.
Beautiful work
love that S35 sensor
Yeah, I'm falling in love with it more and more every time I pick up the camera. :)
Loved this. We need a fashion vlog cause your fashion Eric is 10/10
Dude. That sunset is unreal. Great work guys!
Make the switch to DaVinci man, wish I’d done it months ago. It’s leaps and bounds in front of Premiere
Me too, it’s crazy how much better it is for color grading and financially
Yup, downloading it today. :)
It’s such a good program. Best editing flow, super easy sound workflow and the node editing for both color and after effects is so good. Not to mention the industry standard color grading all on one FREE program! I’m such a fan girl
@@JustinRomeyn premiere Pro bled me dry, Da Vinci is King
kwame duodu agreed!
Love the footage you guys were able to get. It looked so good and the C200 did an incredible job!
This inspires me to create!! LOVE IT!
Was reflecting on the channel a bit yesterday, and this sentiment makes every part of the hard work worth it. So happy to be initiating more creativity. Just feel like I'm paying it forward from all the people I've been inspired by. :)
Beautiful. Love the decision to go ultrawide on the aspect ratio to better show the mountain range. And thanks for the commentary after the film. Not many people share the process enough. Really appreciated hearing your experience with Canon Raw Light as I'm trying to use it more on my C200 instead of just sticking with the 8-bit Canon Log I'm used to. Cheers!
Love it dude! The rut has been too real! Really happy you got out man. Location looked insane
Thanks, man! Yeah, the whole trip was honestly such a relief. So great to just get away and enjoy all that's to be had out west. :)
BEAUTY!
This is so good Eric. I just happened to be in the Grand Tetons a few days ago. It really is super beautiful. Probably my favorite National Park!
Beautiful beautiful footage! Definitely making me consider the C200 as my next upgrade
Incredible work as always man!
FCPX handles the C200 Raw files really well
Love it! Unique prospective with how you put these viewpoints together :)
Thanks, Thomas! Appreciate the support!!
Wow! Such a gorgeous piece of work Eric 😍👏🏽
Thanks so much, Antonio!!
So good. Loved it.
Thanks, Victoria!!
Definitely need a denoiser for that raw footage. Even in davinci.
And if you’re shooting in low light, cinema Raw lite will be WAY cleaner if you take that iso down to something like 640 or even a little lower.
I know it sounds counter intuitive because 800 is native. But native just means it gives you the most dynamic range, not necessarily the best quality out of that dynamic range.
So if you drop that iso, you’ll lose about a stop in the highlights, but again, if you’re in low light, you’re not usually worried about the highlights, and your shadows will be way cleaner.
Miss you homie, glad you’re loving shooting with it! It’s such a beast of a camera 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Such good insight. Thanks, Sam! Miss you, dude!!
There is no noise in the shadows, if you use ISO 200. It‘s to dark, use a BMPCC 6k instead:
ua-cam.com/video/ID2uzMkkkSE/v-deo.html
Okay but the framing in the first shot? That should be illegal it’s so good
SICK.
:) Thanks, homie.
Just shot an elopement there on our 5D4s and EOS R, but couldn't come close to capturing how incredible the Grand Tetons were. The C200 gets pretty close! ;D
What do you feel like the hang up was? I felt like the extra dynamic range here really helped make it feel like a real-life experience when viewing.
@@EricFloberg Hey Eric! I meant I couldn't come close to capturing the majesty of the Tetons with the EOS R and 5D4, but the C200 really does get really close to feeling like real-life!
Soooooooo good!
Dude, I loved the cinematic shots!!!!
Man, those views are amazing! Really motivated to get my trip to Teton in soon!
This was amazing, great video! I’m not convinced that I need to invest in some pro-mist filters.
Great footage and great video! That camera is in beast mode.
Thanks so much, Stefan!
I didn’t think that brown hat could look any better.
tbh i felt the same
Loved the handheld feel man, non of that weird ibis, mechanical movements, lovely organic feel
Thanks so much! Yeah, I leaned into that look hard last year, and I'm not sure I ever want to go back...hahaha
Buzzing for this!!!!
THANKS FOR THA HYPE
Stunning footage Eric 👍🏻
Such a lovely video Eric! What's the soundtrack?
Thanks, Cameron! Morning Heat by Mountain Boy. :)
I've always wanted the C200 but coming from the 1DX I worry that i'd miss the full frame look. Do you miss it?
Video Cameron I love shooting S35!
Could you do an updated video on the C200 now that the price has dropped to 3500? I see a LOT more people buying this camera soon!
beautiful cinema work
Thank you, Christopher!
Killing it🔥🔥 Like always... And finally a YT😁😁
Thanks, Paul!!
You need that sigma 24-70 with IS its amazing.
I've watched this like 10 times...
Algorithm. Also, fantastic film. Much love from a fellow Chicagoan
DAMN THAT CAMERA IS SLICK DAD
SON, IT'S SO HEAVY YOU CAN HOLD IT SOMEDAY.
@@EricFloberg HOPEFULLY I CAN GROW BIG N STRONG LIKE U
Feel like. you definitely need to make a vid of colour grading in resolve mate! I just jumped over from PP to that and find it bafflingly more advanced for grading. You'll definitely be able to make some magic there! Sick vid mate!
that was gorgeous man
Great video. I hope someday I can make footage like you. Job well done! I teach pilots as an instructor... Really so impressed with you instruction.
I just switched from Premiere to Resolve, and it's a great NLE as well as a coloring tool. Resolve makes WAY better use of your system's GPU, so maybe hold off on transcoding those RAW files to ProRes until you see if Resolve enables your system to handle them... Great video, man, and I really enjoyed the talking head piece at the end! 👊
This is class dude!
i'm 20 seconds in and damn this is gorgeous already
Yeah, it was impossible to make anything look bad that night.
I really hoped to enjoy the blank 3mins screen :( this was an amazing Video! Perfect scenes and I bet awesome experience.
😂😂😂bahahahaha I re-exported and uploaded a brand new version. 😑About a 4 hour ordeal...hahaha
Amazing shots
Thank you!
I WAS JUST THERE!!! how did i miss you
You should've yelled "UA-cam DAD WHERE ARE YOU" and I for sure would've come running.
Eric Floberg I honestly should have! I even was on a flight back to chicago Sunday haha
Makes me wanna pick up a C200 and combo it with the R5. Beautiful shots.
Yeah, I'm really pumped to use those two in tandem. Mike and I both have C200s, and I just pre-ordered the R5 about 10 days ago, so we'll see how well they work together! I'll definitely be making videos all about that! :)
@@EricFloberg Awesome, will check it out!
Resolve has a color space transform. It’s AMAZING! and you don’t need anything externally in order to make your footage rec709 and then add an adjustment layer to add the final lut. resolve is amazing!
Can't freaking wait to make the switch. Just downloaded it this morning!
@@EricFloberg ill show you what you need if you need help! lol!
Bro, you gotta come up to Palmer, Alaska (1hr north of Anchorage) someday, I'll show you around. If you think this landscape was nuts... You gotta come up then! :)
Please! Give me a reason to go! :)
Great video Eric. I'm currently trying to practice my video documentation and vlogging skills. Do you plan out the sequence/timeline of videos like this or do you just record as much as you can and figure that out in post?
Loved the video, I had a 1DX II and always wanted the C200. Ended up getting the pocket 6K for awhile and now on the R5. Wish the R5 had 4K raw and didn't overheat haha.
Secret tip, shoot super 35mode down sample 5.1k of the sensor so it looks sharp like HQ mode and it doesn’t over heat in 4K 60 :)
Looks awesome. I don't want to know how much of gigs the storage of the whole footage is ^^
UA-cam dude bring the heattttt
IT'S LIKE THE R5 SHOOTING RAW UP IN HERE
I don’t do much video stuff but I’d love to see some of those m6 shots you were taking 😍
That video is coming out when o get those scans back 😏🤘🏼
Looks killer dude! I love both my c200’s. Raw is a BEAR to work with. But some times is extremely worth it. Keep up the good work! Looks awesome.
Thanks so much, Andrew! Stoked to keep shooting on it and improving the workflow. 🤘
Dang it YT Dad your videos always make me tear up 😭. I hate u😂😂😂😂 jk I love u
hahahaha Always appreciate the love and support, my man!!
Loved it Eric and the BTS explanation. My question is what aspect ratio did you edit in? Watched it on my iPhone X and it filled the entire screen.
Thanks, Scott! I edited it all in 2.39x1 - Since we shot in 4K60 UHD, the pixel ratio was 3840x1609. This URL always helps me out when you're going for different aspect ratios at different resolutions: www.unravel.com.au/aspect-ratio-cheat-sheet
Eric Floberg Awesome man. Thx for the link.
DaVinci is the best! Make the switch bro you won’t regret it. 🕺🏻
Just downloaded it this morning. 😏
@@EricFloberg Yeah you diddddd! Enjoy man, great vid btw. Love the shots!
Please what's the name of the back ground song, I love it, I want to get it.😍😍😍😍
Morning Heat by Mountain Boy - licensed through Musicbed. :)
10 or 12 bit internal or external recording??????
Canon should really do a firmware update and let the c200 do 10 bit internal.
Grand Teton is singular :) Sorry to be that guy. Love your stuff
dangit. Should I change the title?
I'd be interested to see how you fashion your workflow for premiere and Davinci resolve. I started to mess around with cutting my films in Davinci and had a difficult time with it. Coloring I did find easier in Davinci though.
I thought the C200 was a 1.5/1.6x crop like most S35 sensors? The 1DX2 was a 1.3x
Just googled it. Looks like it's 1.4x
I edit c200 raw footage in resolve. It plays in real-time fully graded. Premiere won’t even play it
Please what's the name of the back ground song, I love it, I want to get it.😍😍😍😍
Hey! Any thoughts on the BMPCC 4K or 6k. I’d love to hear what you think about them!
Amazing cameras, was considering going the pocket 6k route, but ultimately ended on the C200 because of autofocus, built in XLRs, and internal NDs 👍🏼
Definitely! I have the 4K and it’s incredible. Low light is wonderful looking. I’m hype, because I have a wedding I will be filming in September for a friend. Low key nervous though cause it’s only my second wedding. However, I can’t wait to see what it looks like.
I get going with the c200 though. It’s more of a workhorse when it comes to a camera. No need for extra peripherals. To get the same functionality.
Have you seen the 12k ursa mini pro?
I still need to know who makes that brown hat 😫
Goorin Bros!
@@EricFloberg Cheers! Do you remember the model?
What would the size of a typical wedding likely be for that?
We did 1.2TB for one wedding and 1.7TB for another. The second was a full wedding day, plus rehearsal dinner coverage the might before.
@@EricFloberg Is 1.2 TB multiple C200 cameras or just one?? I hover around 600GB/wedding with my 1dxii now.
I'm 14 and I have a c200 and 24mm cannon cinema lens and I would shoot raw and use poxy's so you still get all that data
I'm definitely considering going the proxy route, I'm just more interested in transcoding for the sake of saving space on hard drives long term.
11:28 "trying to build a portfolio of stock footage" and it's shot at the wrong shutter speed for the headlights lol.
Built-in ND filters?!?!!!? Whattttttttt?!?!?!?!?
How many GB did this take? Haha it’s awesome though
431 GB that night between the two of us. hahaha
First. Also, luv u.
You and me forever.
Worth every penny huh
just bought a r5 lol
also love your videos
chyeeeaaaahhh! Pre-ordered mine about 10 days ago. I haven't switched out my whole camera lineup in about 4 years, so these are some pretty exciting times. :)
Yawn…….sleepy now…..
