When I was younger I rode Japanese bikes, the Kawasaki 350 two stroke, Honda CB750, Kawasaki GPZ1100, Suzuki GS1100L, Yamaha YZF-R1, Honda CBR1000RR Repsol and I thought Harley's were for old worn out codgers and criminal type riders like the Hell's Angels, I just wasn't impressed. In the 70's I went into a Harley dealership and was looking at t he bikes, I saw a few bikes that had rust on them that were BRAND NEW and on the showroom floor, seriously, and seeing that furthered my belief that Harley's weren't for me. That all changed in 1991 as it did for many non-believers of Harley when Terminator 2 came out and Arnold Schwarzenegger made the bike look bad ass. I finally got a 1996 Fat Boy and I did love that bike, no rust, just beautiful chrome and look you couldn't help but love. I'm on my third Harley, now, the 2022 Fat Boy and this is my best and most advanced Harley I've ridden, it's fun, it's powerful, looks fantastic and just an overall great bike. Thanks for the review, great job!
Nice video! I expect to be buying a 2022 FB 114 in a couple weeks, in that Reef Blue color no less. Buying used is huge, you can save 25-30% if you hunt around. It will be my second bike, the other is a Street Glide Special. The SGS will be for longer rides, the FB for evening/weekend local cruising, around 2,500 mi per year. I am so stoked to get this bike!
I’ve seen the earlier Fatboy, that had the solid wheels, with a whole lot of carbon from the exhaust covering the rim. I think that’s the reason they opened up the rims. So it doesn’t matter what people think. It’s a change for the better.
Traded my Fatboy for Street Glide Sp, miss the fatty, but couldn't afford both. And only get to ride on the weekends. I'm in Del Rio, Texas - heard you mention Texas, what part / city?
That Reef Blue is the color I want and would love to do one of these demo days, does Harley have a schedule for this or is it just up to indvidual dealers?
@@guffinator70 never been on a 240 back tire but i believe you - i think think those 300mm are just too ugly and would handle terribly...but i assume the front tire is perfectly fat, whereas Ive seen 180 and 200 mm front tires - i bet those handle like crap
It does. You have to ride it less aggressively, it needs muscled a bit more into turns. You do get used to it. I have a 22 fatboy and a 21 street glide special, the SGS handles better in turns and it’s 130 lbs more. But the Fatboy is a badass , esp mine how I have it set up, so I love riding it.
New tires are oily, if you buy one, scotch brite the tires with dawn dish soap before you ride it and those Michelin Scorchers do hook up. It is hard to turn, you gotta muscle that hoe 😂
So, the average American salary is 60000$ and this is cost 20000$. Here it cost 32.000€ with a average salary 10000€ AND the gas cost per litter is 1.9€ I have order mine with thunderbike modifications for 50000€ . Stop complain for everything. You simply DONT KNOW what expensive means.
Do u mean ( as I did see in another report ) that its hard to find neutral when ticking over .And some said instead of trying to find neutral just cut engine while in gear and then find neutral ,or just cut engine and start it in gear .??
I have a Victory Hammer S that the stock rear tire is a 250...I currently have a 260. It rides so much better than the HD Fat Boy or the HD Breakout. The HD are just overly heavy, and poor engineering. I test rode a Fat Boy about three years ago and it was a very poor handling bike. Really like my Victory so much better. Is it worth the money....only if you have a lot of disposable cash and don't care over-spending on a machine. So many better options out there.
@@guins99 I didn't make up a bunch of bs. Thought for sure I would get a Fat Boy or a Fat Bob. Both bikes were a disappointment, including the Breakout...although the Breakout was the best of the three. Everyone who rides Victory was disappointed, but Indian is doing well. If it wasn't for the competition, HD would still be leaving oil drips going down the road.
The Fatboy just isnt right without the solid wheels.. Harley gave in to the whining myth of wind interference. Nonsense. The solid wheel was iconic and a design cue right from Willie G.
Fat boy is the old dyno with wide wheels as everything was about fat body tyres as the bicycles copied the era also without the mickey mouse fairing like dyno street bob with chrome for show AFFA angels never die
Man I never thought I’d want a Harley but look at that thing. So badass
I feel the same exact way

Those are floorboards. Not footpegs.
Complaining about $20k price tag?! It's over $50k in Indonesia .. And the worst part, the second hand ones, not much cheaper ...
They are amazing bikes, used fat boys can be had for a couple grand that need rebuild.
order one in pieces maybe.
My 18 FLFB was 18.5 MSRP so they have have went up.
I just bought a 2002 one .And its absolutely beautiful and like new .11000 miles.Covered in chrome .$12000
The breakout has the 240mm rear tire as well.
I just bought one 2019 model and can't wait to arrive 😍
Nice!!!

I love this review. You’ve made me want this bike and I will get it soon
Thank you! Hope you do!!
Same here
Been a forever dream and I’m making it happen now boys.
Good review man! That's my next bike

I have a first year Fat Boy. I love my Grey Ghost!
I’m definitely aiming to get one by this year coming up

I have a 2004 Fatboy. So 18 yrs old. If you spend $20 grand on a new one it will last you 20 years
Great viedo

Im tryi Bby to get my first bike I’m a tall skinny dude 145Ib you guys think this bike is a good choice for a first bike please let me know thx!
This is the bike I want.
I don’t even like Harley’s that much. I saw this thing today in person and it was love at first sight. Here I am videos of it on UA-cam 😂
This FatBoy is amazing ! ⭐️🇦🇺
Thank you.
Oh its absolutely worth it!😊
You mustn't know much about Harley Davidson's! The HD Breakout has the same tire!
The HD FatBoy 114 is the cream of the crop! Classy Warrior! 🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁
Hd builds masterpieces😮😊
i had these new milwake engines
they need to bring back the old panhead and shovelhead MAYBE the evolution motor from like
the 98 roadking
base price 25000 in canada

I think they have a schedule, should be online somewhere man
But yeah the color is spot on !!
@@Mr.XR8996 Yeah, I thought so too, but so far no luck in finding it.
They hold their value unlike other brands...
New Braunfels tx. I noticed river rd
Does it want to run wide in tight turns or is it ok handling wise in corners with those fat tyres? Enjoyed your video man 👍
I own this bike, it handles well on the street. That fat tire may hurt you on a track, but on the street it's not an issue.
@@guffinator70 Every single reviewer disagrees.
@@andrewkitchenuk I own the bike and ride it every day. I stand by my statement.

Love the drag bars too.
I still like my 2001 but it's a pretty bike.
You my friend are definitely from my neck of the woods. So what is it? Gonzales? Thibodaux? Lafayette? Cutoff? Lay it on me cuz!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
hd motto is "yesterday technology with tomorrow prices"
love my HD's -- not sure how much tech i need on a bike. my street glide special gives me everything i want in a bike.
The cost of the bike in my country Kuwait = 33,000 USD
Yeah but think how cool you’ll look on it, what’s that worth.
the last year for solid wheels was 2018. Thanks for taking us all along for the ride.
2021 Fatboy has sold wheels
Looks nice. Priced at about $39000 in new zealand
more expensive than Portugal 28.000 €
@@rafaelpereira3028 might be a alittle cheaper in nz. Gotta remember the currency exchange rate
Crazy who would put so much?
Didn't you guys just vote in a bunch of Labour nutjobs, or was that Australia? I would look at everything becoming more expensive if so. Good luck.
Indonesia cost 58.000 US Dollar because of high luxury tax
I want one please and thank you
I really don't think you're feeling the tire spin. I have an '18 and have never experienced that....
Only if he hit a patch of oil and most likely he wold have gone down. He may have been experiencing clutch slip.
It looks like he was riding over a bunch of tar snakes when he punched it. Road conditions not the bike.
My ‘22 will spin the tire.
haha, and they brought back the tank mounted SPEEDO
It's $32,105.23 in India for 2022 model
WOW!
Indonesia US $58,000

I didn’t make it for even a minute.
En el vídeo parece más lenta a pesar de lucir más despojada xd

Motorcycle won't start in neutral
How's that? It won't start in neutral? Is that intentional?
Why ???
Do u mean ( as I did see in another report ) that its hard to find neutral when ticking over .And some said instead of trying to find neutral just cut engine while in gear and then find neutral ,or just cut engine and start it in gear .??
That's the least "sketchy" bike in history😆😆 Can't even fucks watching. Have to wonder if the rider has ever watched any other test drive videos.. wow
The will not start unless it’s in neutral
My 2022 starts in first.
I think you mean neutral is hard to find on some .And I did read somewhere to just cut the engine in gear and then select neutral .

Starts driving at 4:25 and talks WAAYYYYYYYY too much.
