i bought a used 2018 fat boy with 114 and Vance n Hines big radius exhaust rode it for 6 months and last winter i put a s&s 128 big bore and 475 cam oil pump and lifters higher flowing injectors a bigger air cleaner a power vision tuner and a recluse auto clutch what a difference in power and torque
Will a Cam make a difference with passing power on 6th Gear. 2021 fatboy stock just a slip-on exhaust. Getting tired of downshifting on the freeway to pass 😪
I love the look of far boy. The way I ride I don't love cost of tires or the wanting to stand up in turns so I went with slim. Very happy with my choices
I often hear that comment. If buying an older model is okay a 2007-2017 has a 200mm rear and 2006-1990’s have either a 130 or 150 section at stock, which is the same as a heritage. Perfect if you love Twin Cam and EVO’s.
Heritage comes with windshield/passing lamps/saddlebags. I had a 2000 FatBoy, turned it into a Heritage. They use to be sisters not now - more like distant cousins.
Cool video! The wide steer takes some getting used to, but once you are used to it, you don't really notice it, untill you get on another bike. I have a fat bob, and a lowrider st. I do like the fat boy though, would be cool to see one blacked out, but it wouldn't be a fat boy anymore.
But once you figure it out the turns are fun, just gotta move your hips when going fast in the corners to get more lean. Yeah they had a blacked out series with the final twin cam models, but the rear tire was not fat, pretty much a different bike than the m8. Imagine a blacked out enthusiast ICON release, I’ve heard rumors…
Coming from a 2015 Victory Hammer 8-ball .will I be disappointed with the fat boy? When it comes down to power jumping onto a freeway? Live in a very congested area.😤
As you saw in my video it gets up there fairly quick. The specs are very similar to your 8 ball maybe 10-12% improvement. Will it be a disappointment? I dunno. Ride it and the Breakout 117 at a demo day or your local dealer and see if either will be enough improvement over your current scoot.
Hi again Today I test rode a 2018 fatboy with 5700 miles. Im New to Harleys, is it normal with the Vibration even at high speed? No wobbling nothing like that.
Vibration is normal at higher speed if you're in a lower gear at 4-5000 rpm, shift up and it smooths out. It will never smooth out to be like a Parallel Twin motor like a Japanese brand, a vtwin isn't known for creamy smooth. However the M8 vtwin design is smoother than previous designs like the twin cam and evolution motors.
Now that was an excellent review for beginner as me you have an new subscriber , I will take my MC license this year and buy me an fat boy and just cruising around, maybe not an beginner bike but that is other opinions not my 😎
Tried riding the Fatboy and I find it difficult to find the neutral at first. But it seems it had something to do with how fully engaged the clutch lever is. I have 08 1200 GS and wanted to try a cruiser. I was wondering if the clutch lever can be adjusted a bit narrower on the clutch engage? I am using a two finger clutch hold and noticed from the vid you got your 4 fingers over the lever?
Neutral can be allusive on all Harley’s, I own two and each one has its unique quirks. My 4 finger hold is because I’m a newer rider air to the side of caution on any bike I’m unfamiliar with. Outside of adding adjustable levers I’m not knowledgeable enough at this point to discuss other options with the OEM lever other than adjusting for tension or stiffness. Perhaps another reading this can weigh in.
I’m 6 ft 165lbs would you say the fat boy is too big for my weight? I ride a gsxr 600 right now but looking to make the switch. Also not sure how the bike would do cruising the Cali mountains
Because the weight is low and centered, the bike isn’t too big for you. With the floor boards positioned the way they are like forward-mids, your legs will appreciate it. Since you’re familiar with riding on the side of the tire when doing some speed in the corners you’ll have no problem doing what many cruiser rides can’t comprehend initially with the fat boy and that’s getting your lean on when turning and in the corners, comparatively the fat boy needs to be leaned more in turns and corners due to its wider tires. Understand that piece of character and you’ll enjoy it on the twisty’s. Don’t like the fat tires but like the fatboy style get a pre 2018 version. Enjoy!
It's not motorcycling if you got bags, windshield, and all that other nonsense. Fat Boy - good looking except for that UGLY headlight fixture thingy with an LED light. What the hell were they thinking? I can't begin to tell you how LED headlights suck so much but they're definitely Wrong for me with any vehicle-especially at night.
HD loves beach bars. Easy pass on DOT requirements and easy for all rider types to handle and the service department makes money on those of us who want apes. But the VVT 121 ci in the CVO isn’t the answer. Ride one and you’ll see. Better to just bore it out or get the 117 to 122 or 128 screaming eagle kit.
Fatty a a hot rod Custom , i got a 018 flfbs, put 14 in Meathooks , Blow exhaust, wide open , 250 Dunlop rear way cheaper than stock power vision tuner,, Fatty a head turner, mines twisted red wicked cherry, bought for 18 grand, i put all after market shit on, put 475, S&S cam and pump, Fatty a show off bike, a tire burning , bike , fattu will go sideways in third, smokn the 250, , gotta know how to ride,, i just dold my 012 zx14r Ninja, had for 7 years bought brand new, yea , it do 200 mph go to 150 mph on a wheelie , ,lol, fatty a slow low bike 80 mph, shit, makes noise , looks cool , Harley a cruiser ♿

You know, I’m feeling the vibe of gripping the tank, putting some boogie into it 😎
The correct way to do cornering!

No the fatboy changed directions in 2018.

Go for the bike that speaks directly to you, then learn its quirks. Good luck on your test. Thank you for subscribing. Keep it on two!
That 96 Heritage isn’t a vintage mate😂😂😂. Bit early for that😂😂
Wishful thinking?
Nice ride along
Thanks for coming along Larry!
You were at Ocala Harley?
Yes, Warhorse HD. Good eye
@KennyQuestShow I was just thru there I'm in Clay County.

Blip the throttle to slip into neutral
I’ve tried that and it does work some of the time…
I own a fatboy so i am a little bias. lol
Yes you do! With all the low rider s hype the FLSTF gets overshadowed it’s a fun ride!
leds' on sportster S

Some bikes, the look of LED doesn’t work, choppers for instance. Funny how HD includes halogen bulbs on other bikes and choose LED for others.
can't agree with anything said. ! need the touring package, led etc.
Hatley needs to put the 121 ci in a breakout, with 12 in. Apes and 250 rear tire, sell it for 23 grand, 💪🏻😎
