To me there is no better family sport than archery. Load up the family, the bows, a picnic lunch and the smiles and head to a 3D shoot and just have fun as a family. I’ve shared this love for this sport with my daughter her entire life. She was two months old in a backpack her first shoot and started shooting her first mini bow at 2 and she still loves the sport at 12. You don’t have to be a hunter to enjoy 3D at all, you just have to love being outdoors.
Great video showing the transformation of her from being scared to shoot to where she is wanting to do it more often.
Casey, you the man!!! Brailee, you the girl. Glad to see the younger generation getting into hunting. I love it and have hunted deer and elk in Idaho for 57 years and enjoyed every minute of it.
SWEET DAUGHTER DUDE!
KEEP HER SAFE & SOUND!
GOD BLESS CASEY & HIZ!
The smile on her face when she hit the balloon was awesome! Good job girlie, keep it up.
I shot my first bow a few months ago because of you guys! Now my 7 year old is asking me can she start shooting with me. Great family video keep it up!
I started shootinf my bow 3 years ago
Lol i thought that was gonna be an angry comment for making your seven your old be interested in weapons. Tho your probably American and you guys, are more trigger happy with weapons.
That was adorable! Great to see families enjoying outdoor activities together! Keep up the good work!
Giving you big points for how you interact with your daughter, buddy. And she did a great job, with a camera on her and all!
Way to go Brai! I love seeing daddy/daughter time doing something like this. Brailee, you are a fine example of what young ladies should be out doing. You clearly make your dad very proud! Great job, Casey - you're doing a great job raising your family. I look forward to Kayli's turn! Heather🇨🇦
Always great when you introduce your kids to the shooting sports or buy them their first weapon. I was so excited when I gave my son his first Red Rider B.B. gun. Can’t wait to take him on his first hunt. Awesome video of daughter dad time.
Great job! This is a great example of family enjoying archery together, good job young Lady! Enjoy the sport.
Very Cool -- solid video! Great hearing her say one more and reaching for another arrow --sounds like she's catching the fever!
How sweet was that! That's what father daughter time looks like right there, nice work Dad...
Just talked to my daughter today about setting up her she got for Christmas. Was the perfect video. I’ll have to have her watch tomorrow after school.
I'm excited for when my son is old enough to go through this with him! Thanks for sharing the experience.
I stumble upon this video recently and I'm glad I did watch it...
you're the perfect example for all dad's.... way to go introducing your kid into archery...
maybe one day she'll take that bow for a hunt....
Always glad to see kids getting into archery and hunting. She'll be dropping big bucks in no time.
Congrats Casey on an awesome experience. Cannot wait to go with my little ones to the range to fit them up. Thanks for sharing this with us ^^
Cute Kid. Great dad for getting her started in a lifetime of Hunting and Shooting.
Great guys (and gal, Shandra) over at Archery Idaho. They have another shop in Idaho Falls.
Can’t wait until I can take my daughter to the local shop to get her bow set up.
You guys have inspired me to get out on public land with my bow. This is my first year bowhunting and I couldn’t be more excited!
way to go dad! keep it up. these are awesome experiences. my wife & youngest are going through hunters safety right now. the rest of the family are done. again, great experiences, keep it up.
Came back to see this video. Love how she says, I want to shoot again! She's an competitor. 🏹🤠👍
Great job young lady; good one you Brother, parenting done right
What Tim said^^^^
She did really well for her first time shooting. Good job! I find it easier to shoot at a vertical and horizontal line when sighting a bow. Get the elevation dialed in with the horizontal line and then work on the windage using the vertical line.
Just watch this video bless her heart she done well you're a great dad what a better Family Sport thanks for the video mate
If she is a beginner there is something our archery shop does in Minnesota. Its called a Kisser. It is applied below the peep sight and you hold it to the corner of your lip at full draw. It is meant to keep a consistent anchor point!
That is awesome Casey. I am working on getting my oldest daughter shooting as well.
Casey, when you come down to New Mexico again, make sure you visit The Archery Shoppe. It's a local shop full of great, helpful people! I wish I could learn from you.
Way to go dad! That's awesome she's hooked already
Shout out from Montana guys love shooting bows I remember the first bow I had it was a lil banshee I loved it good luck I am 13
She's a natural! I used to work as an archery tech, and I can't tell you how hard it was to break some people of bad form, or being afraid of correctly anchoring the string (against the cheek). She picked it up like it was nothing! From one female bowhunter to another- Brailee's going to kill it with that bow... literally!
You should go check out daybreak family archery on the south end of town... on the left before century high, across from fedex
I can not wait to set up a bow for my two boy and my little girl just like that man that was so great to watch like I was saying I am so ready to get started with my kids thanks for the great video man keep the kids interested and make it fun!!!
i wish my dad did this with me. lucky kids i tell you.
Yeah, my father spend most on alcohol, so I started work early and got it all by my self. Really wish my father was like this. Every time I see this kind of relationship with parents, I just love it. Lucky girl :)
I would be taking my dad if we did that
Da? D-dad whats that?
Facts. Ive gone by myself and did it all alone lmao
Same
Great dad, and a great video for beginners to understand there’s nothing to be afraid of, just go shoot, my daughter in law and I went to a lesson that she set up and then shot for an hour, when I left I had found my new hobby, it was a blast.
Love it big guy glad ur family is so into hunting
Hi I’ve been shooting traditional bows for years and thinking of getting into compound bows. I found all the tech involved a bit daunting but you’ve explained it clearly. I remember those first few shots when your just starting and I think ur daughters gonna make a brilliant archer.
Help her build up her left arm deltoids to get a stable bow arm (sure u know this).
PS climbing is one of the best exercises for all those random archery muscles.
Great vid dude keep being a good tutor🙂
Wow I'm late to this. Just watched her take down an elk from a couple weeks ago. You're a great dad!
Great Dad, enjoyed the video, great job young lady.
What a great dad you are!!!!
I got my bow 7 years ago. Diamond tech razor edge, with a bone collector 4 pin sight, a 3 seperate brush whisker biscuit that you can change out as they wear, with a bear xring hydraulic stabilizer. 5 arrow quiver, with Easton aftermath arrow with g5 T3 broadheads
I'm just getting into archery myself, and it is great! Idaho Falls here.
Hey Scott I’m in the Idaho Falls area too. Have you checked out Archery Idaho on the Yellowstone Highway across from Pinecrest?
Her form, the way she draws the bow, nice. Very talented
Nice vid Casey, Archery is such a cool thing to do especially with your youngun
That release looks long in her hand. My wife had the same problem punching the trigger until i noticed.
Great video case job well done father daughter bonding time good on you .......
I just got a compound bow for the 2018 Christmas and I am only nine years old, and I am already a master of me 11 pound draw kids compound bow. Mine is from Bear Archery.
That was cool. What a difference from the 1st shot to the last :)
"Shoot this ford" lol I caught that
I was so happy when she popped that balloon 🎈 great job 👊🏻🇨🇦
Holy crap, I gotta tell you, shes brave... Every beginner I've ever seen no matter how much you reassure them and tell them it'd be fine they never want that string anywhere close to their face, let alone on their actual face. Props to her lmfao
My boys are 6 and 7 looking forward to introducing them to archery .they are both got shots with the .22 and they love to watch me shoot my bow . Archery is a great sport .
You guys are actually right where I am at I lived in Idaho for all my life and I am turning 14 in a month
Hipster archery dude, awesome!
Nothing better to hear from someone learning "Just one more". Release does need shortening but that is all to do with tuning everything in. Pretty sure it would be done now.
Awesome!! I can’t wait until my daughter is old enough to hunt! 10 more years! Haha
Looked like you both had a great day!
I just got my first bow! And now I can’t wait to get my daughter a bow someday. She’s only 1.5 right now haha but I still can’t wait!
You can never start to early!
That was cute “I’m thinking they are important” I hope my daughter wants to learn to shoot. I have awhile before I can get my son set up.
best way for this Aussie 46 yo guy to learn how to shoot and setup a compound bow? Watch this guy teach his 13 yo daughter! Mate, great vid!
i frequent the Nampa store. love it.
Shes very pretty I love hunting glad to see others start it to
I can’t be the only Idahoan that hears the word Idaho and gets excited 😂 I live in Saint Anthony now I’m from Pocatello though
Awesome job ! Keep it up 👍
Casey! I was wondering if you have a guide or specific tips on hunting and fishing in South East Idaho? I moved to the area about a year ago and would really like to get into hunting and fishing around here. I am an okay fisherman and I have only ever done some trapping in the North East of the US. Does anyone else know of another way I could try to contact Casey?
Jake Anderson hey Jake! I live in South East Idaho and I’m happy to help you out with any questions. I’m new to hunting, but I’ve been fishing most of my life.
Go the description of this video and you can find his social media accounts.
Wish I new the shop was there when I was there
I look forward to this day.. got to get past the painfully oblivious phase first.
Casey is such a good dude
Can't wait to take my little girl!
Good job and keep practicing and they say practice makes perfect
Here in the State of New Mexico in Albuquerque there is Archery Shoppe they have really good archery gear my older brother goes to Archery Shoppe and uses the Shooting range
great job young lady!!
Awesome! I can't wait till I can get my daughter a bow. She's 4 so it won't be too much longer but shes excited to watch me shoot and keeps saying she wants to kill elk. LOL!
Great job Braelee! Get your dad to shorten up that release and you'll be racking up the points in no time.
Casey great video , Dad and Daughter time it don't get better than that look forward to see Daughter 2 maybe Evan a shoot off somewhere along the line 👍👍👍
Sure is starting off with alot nicer equipment than i did. Hell come to think about it I'm still using it.
Nice, how many # do u have the bow set up at, she makes it looks easy
great job teaching your daughter how to shoot a compound bow !!!
Directly with the expensive ones?
Brailee you did so good
I've shoot wisker biskets for 2 years and then bought a Qad drop away and it makes you so much more acreat
Can not wait for this day with my daughter!!!
Apart from how much it’ll cost...
greetings from my city viña del mar Chile, good teacher, an intelligent person, to others very beautiful and if you continue practicing, will be very good archer congratulations and good video
What is the draw weight on that bow?
Just made a Disable Veteran wanna start shooting, you made it look easy thank you and thank you Mr cool Dad
You should start it's very good for the mind and a great sport you will find lots of support in the industry . I shoot regularly with several disabled individuals .
Archery tournaments even have a para division for people with disabilities and from my experience the archery crowd is very welcoming . Cheers
Very jealous you have a dedicated shop. Archery is barely even a thing over here now which is nuts because the English were famous for archery for centuries. Not to mention I have never met a single person who tried archery and didn’t love it. Might have to do something about it 🤔
I bought a 40lb takedown last week, just waiting for some carbon arrows to arrive and I’m going to get some hours in.
I always wonder what eye people look out when they aim. I'm buying myself a bow in a couple days
I really need to take mine to set up mine but good video of her
Little Lady has Skills!
Waww... Amazing bow guys..
she's pretty and getting there practice makes perfect
*fant shot gun sound*
Any one know a good backpacking backpack that holds a bow and doesn't break the bank?
What sight is she using
A little tip: your daughter takes a long time to release, once you draw back you should release in about 3 seconds after. Since it takes her a while to release she starts to shake her bow. No hate! I’m just saying although, you probably know what your doing better than I do.
Just had my first time shooting a bow today at a practice range, managed to hit all 10 shots :D
if anyone see thsi what is good beginner bow
Good archery tip, you don't want it to be a suprise because that means that your shot process isn't the same
Aiden Jones ....actually, you do want a surprise release. If you are anticipating the shot, you are more likely to flinch before shooting the arrow. With the surprise release you hold to your anchor and only focus on the target. Your conscious mind aims the bow, and muscle memory/subconscious triggers the release.
Now, there are some very accomplished archers who shoot with a command style, where the release is anticipated. Tim Gillingham is one of the best archers in the US and he is known as “the hammer” because of the way he punches his trigger release. It works for him.
But most coaches would recommend a surprise release.
I'm not an expert, but recommend practicing with at least a three pin sight. Personally, I used a five pin set at 20, 30, 40, 50, 60.
Gotta love a fresh whisker biscuit
I love to do 3D because of how realistic and cool it can be. But I end up holding my bow the whole time because I don’t have the thing that holds it on the ground. But they cost like 250 at my team’s store. I hope I can find a cheaper one online
I thought she was your girlfriend at first, that was a emotional rollercoaster lol
