    What's up everyone...hope you enjoyed this video. There are a lot of ways to set up a bow and different levels of detail that shops might go through to make sure your bow is tuned. The guys at Wilde Arrow do a fantastic job for us. Thanks for the support...can't wait for archery season 2018!

      Yeah, it's too bad that not everyone gets that treatment at Wilde Arrow. I've bought two bows from them (one for me, one for my wife) and won't buy from them again. This is not how they treat new customers, this is the special treatment for the guys they know. There are other shops that are just as knowledgeable that don't reserve the VIP treatment for guys posting the build on UA-cam.

    This is the best RX-1 tuning/set up video yet! I used that GENIUS observation about the best angle for the top cam and now have my RX-1 Ultra shooting even better than before. It was tuned pretty good before but using that info as a guideline really helped tweak it right. Wilde Arrow Archery really knows the're stuff!

    Somehow found this in related or recommended and I'm glad I watched it. Super educational and detailed with simple, clear explanations...all without hiding any of the complexity and intricacies involved with bows! I never knew how complicated it all was and what should go into dialing it all in. Great work and much respect to the shop guy.

      Be ready to drop $2,000 when you do! haha I went into the pro shop with a grand cash and wound up putting another grand on my debit card... However I plan to shoot this RX1 for the next 15 years... My previous bow lasted that long so this should be able to as well (I hope). I should also mention the bow price-tag is between $1,400 and $1,600 depending on what your pro shop sells them for... But If your like me your gonna want a nice hard-case for it so your baby stays safe, Then your gonna want a $250-$400 sight. Maybe a new dozen arrows.... god it adds up!

    WOW. There’s some good knowledge to be received in this video. Much appreciated. I feel like I can tell when somebody knows their shit or when they try to BS me. I can now confim my local tech half assed my Kuma set up. This guy at wild arrow definitely knows how to tune bow. I almost wish I could just send him mine to re-tune it but I know it don’t work that way.

    I learned sooo much watching this. I’m a novice and I needed to be schooled like this. When I say novice I mean it I didn’t even know how to tie a d loop until now. My accuracy was always a little off but after watching this and spending a few hundred bucks on equipment I’m gettin those arrows on the money now. (Only at about 40 yards but they are money nearly every time) I love this sport soo much. Thanx guys

    good stuff man..best of luck with your new rocket ship...i worked in a pro shop for 20 yrs and one thing we always did when timing a bow was to always have the shooter shoot 3 arrows in paper as 1 could be from a torqued grip or a grip with too much pressure which will give sum bad tears in paper instead of a bullet hole..i myself when ever i got a new bow i always paper tuned mine with a back tension release..good video..

    I feel as if a certain big chain store, not naming names but the name of the company is also a man's name, could take some heed in this video. I went to said store with the mindset of buying a bow. Once the kid pulled the bow I was gonna buy off the rack, he took the cam locks off, drew it back, and released it. No arrow, no release. As soon as the bow went off, I just walked away. Luckily, I found a local shop that had the bow I was looking for, and they set it up completely like this. Great video and extremely informative! Can't wait to see your new bow in action this year!

      I wouldn't buy my bow from a chain store. You might pay 50 extra bucks @ your local shop, but the service is invaluable. I recently bought a Mathews Triax and couldn't be happier with the bow or the service I received. #Bloodtraditions

Only thing I would say to do differently is to put an arrow in that bow she. Drawing back. Ya had me sketched out and unless you are using one of those triggerless safety releases, accidents happen especially when drawing and holding at a weird angle like you were. I know cuz I have blown mine up doing something similar! Glad you didn't blow it up and sweet looking bow. Now I wanna try that mbg pure sight!

      Cason Culver nice for Christmas I got a bear ultra light and I'm only 12 and can shoot 70 yards and still hit the target but not close to the bull so I think an super expensive bows aren't necessary for me mine was $675

    • @casonculver797
      @casonculver797 6 років тому

      Camden Lee I used to think the same, I had a 600 dollar mathews and could hit center from 60 but niw with a more expensive bow I can be more consistant and it is more forgiving with your mistakes since it is faster and not to mention its lighter since its carbon. But the bow you have is perfect for a 12 yeae old, keep practicing and by the end of the year you'll be killing it from 70

    the easiest way 2 do "that"( all such "testing/sensing" thing) is to put the device in the hands of a T1 terminator he--he....i personally opted for 7 diff coloured leds sticked right on the top of the main body using my periferal view to perceibe the colour of each one....u can say i've reached my own T1 most confortable sensor ( something likes that meaning my point was to get my brain in the habit about NOT 2 make an extra work thinking about wich combination of height/distance should i wait from the "shoot")...enjoyed too much the spin "checking/adjst" very nice vídeo thanks 4 sharing guys.

    I just got into archery a month ago. Bought a cheap bow to hunt with and it lasted a month. So I bought a mathews tactic. Big upgrade I'm told. I still don't know anything, just how to make an arrow go into a block. I guess there's alot of tuning that is required to make your bow fine tuned to you and accurate it seems. You guys are based in where? I might make a trip to have this type of attention to detail applied into my Mathews

    I don't know if you will understand me but I have shot a lot and have used my 4 pins to do my range finding. A deer in all 4 pins is 10 yards out 3 pins 20 to 30, 2 pins 40 to 50 yards out.

    Why do I watch bow videos before bed.i got to work in the morning and now I want to go tinker with my bow. Yesterday I reserved my center serving, so I had to retune. It bugged me that I did a sloppy job installing my peep and it was just off all season, I shot fine with it but the serving was getting loose on it anyway. I pressed my bow took out my peep, separated the Black and Tan strings and reinstalled my peep. It was just a little high and didn’t line up so I repressed my bow and moved my peep down a wee bit and took a twist out. I tied on a P loop and set my level. I use a limb driver so rest so that stayed fine. Now all I need to do is fine tune my peep, probably press it again and take two or three strands from each side and switch them. Then serve in the peep, and put my bow away for 6 more weeks till I can go outside and shoot without freezing to death.

    I have way more money in my bow than any of my guns and I can’t even fit it in my gun safe with case and all one question for other bow hunters is when your store your bow is it a good idea to buy that portable bow compressor and store your bow with the pressure off of your strings and cables

      Wouldn't really change much my friend he was just stating that all string stretch . if u custom order strings thru like strict9 or threads or so on alot of them are stretch them its inevitable bud

    • @boydcrowder6130
      @boydcrowder6130 5 років тому

      no need. Strongs only stretch when they are new.. they find a stopping point fairly quick and stay there.. Quality strings will be pre stretched.. This guy was putting on a show for the HUSH cam...
