HELLO EVERYONE. I PASSED MY SKILLS EXAM JUST OFF OF WATCHING THESE VIDEOS AND MENTALLY PRACTICING. THIS WOMAN REALLY KNOWS HER STUFF. REALLY TAKE TIME TO GO OVER YOUR STEPS AND DONT BE AFRAID TO TELL THE PROCTOR IF YOU WANT TO CORRECT A STEP. THEY WOULD LOVE TO GIVE YOU THE POINTS.
Nurse Jar, Thank you so much! I passed my skills test today in the state of VA and i’m now officially a CNA, all thanks to you🥰, keep making these amazing videos!
Nurse Jar, my teacher used your videos to prep us in class before we went to the bed lab. Your videos are so helpful and I used them to study before my state test and I passed! Thank you!
If anyone is wondering what videos to watch to practice for ur skills Nurse Jar videos are the one!! Thanks to her and these step by step videos I was able to pass my skills exam 6/12/24. I had bedpan for one of them and in school we didn’t really go over bedpan a lot but this video showed me a lot and I was confident about it thank you a lot Nurse Jar !!!
@ibancruz8039 Awesome! CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 👏 💐 🥳!!! Thank you for your generous words and referral! I'm so glad to know that my videos were instrumental with you passing your certification exam 😀!
are you from CA? if so did you also not put a barrier on the overbed table and under the client before placing the bedpan? My teacher taught me to do those steps but i do agree it takes up more time and i liked that murse jar pointed out that its not a requirement!!
@@amayae838 It is not a requirement if you are testing under Pearson Vue or Credentia. However, if you are testing under Prometric or Headmaster, it is a requirement.
Thank you so much you had me very refreshed and ready for my test and I passed I’m officially certified 🙏🙏 Continue to post videos because you’re truly a blessing to us all ❤️
Thank you Nurse Jar from the bottom of my heart! Your videos helped so much!!!!!❤️❤️ took my test today just awaiting my results thank you for everything ❤
Nurse jar, thanks so much I pass my skills exams thou I didn’t pass written exam which am going to re-take sooner.. well I have been using your formula of arranging the supplies according how to use them and then before completing ending five as you instructed always ask if the residents need any help before you leave them. Thanks 🙏
I will be taking my skills exam and am so nervous!! I watched and rewatched all your videos but I am sure I will forget half of them because I get terrible text anxiety. Wish me luck
Since I start my classes October 31st and it ends November 16th. I am assuming November 16th will be my skills and written test day. I really hope I pass.
Hi, Alexia! If you are testing under Pearson Vue or Credentia, no. These Authorized Administrators do notvrequire the candidate to place a linen protector underneath the person for this skill.
Hello everyone. Just have a question. Are there any critical steps with this procedure ? I tested today but forgot to take gloves off after placing bedpan 😞
@@NURSEJAR All steps were performed correctly, just need improvement on time management to complete within 30 minutes to do better on next test, thank you.
Helllo. If the testing site has beds with side rails do I have to lower them even though credentia doesn’t have a step that says lower side rail? Will they fail me if I work over the side rail?
Hi Nurse Julie! I am so sorry for asking this question again. Would you happen to know if Credentia in California requires candidates to raise the bed to a working height?
Hello nurse jar ! Sorry to keep asking questions lol but I take my skills next week and very nervous but anyways Is wiping still not required?? Being that this video is kinda old
Hi, Blake! Ask as many questions as you need! This is the bedpan skill, not perineal care. Wiping the person is not a part in this skill. Good luck with your exam!
@BlakeAlexander-yu6lz Oh, no!!! Sounds like your instructor giving y'all procedural guidelines for actual care provisions on real patients, rather than testing skills performance inatructions/steps.
Would it be advised to put a chuck under the bedpan when doing this skill or can I just follow these steps as showed? Thanks. I will be taking my state exam April 1st.
Hi, Christopher! It all depends on who you're testing under. Pearson Vue and Credentia do not require the candidate to place a chux underneath the bedpan. However, Prometric does.
S Nurse Julie this doesn't require in Taxes? Not to put any on the table. Because I see Dr Lee puts under martt on the table. You are the best Nurse Julie ❤️
Hello, I was hoping you could give me advice. My skills exam is tomorrow and I did not put my second last name on the Credentia website when I scheduled my exam. All of my government issued IDs include that last name at the end but I did include my first last name. Do you think that they will allow me to take the exam? Thankyou.
Hi, Alma! If yoy are testing under Pearson Vue or Credentia, no. The placement of a linen protector underneath the bedpan is not a required step under these Authorized Administrators.
Can that bedpan be used while the person is sitting on their bed with feet on the floor? Bc the patient has Parkinsons so its hard for her to walk but she can sit on her bed
If the patient will be comfortable in that position, yes. But, keep in mind, it may be a safety issue if she presents with tremors. You wouldn't want her to fall off of the bed.
I PASSED MY EXAMS I AM OFFICIALLY LICENSED 😭😭✨ thank you so much for all your videos they helped me so much more than my teacher did. 🩺🪪 thank you again love!

Should the use of a bed pad be used in this skill? Thanks

Hi, Lily! No worries! Pearson Vue & Credentia, at this time, still do not emphasize or score on body mechanics.
Does credential ask to put a linen protector before putting the bedpan?

No. Not for Credentia….only for Peirson Vue.
is the written skills test like you have to write it out or is it multiple choice ?
Hi, Yesitz! The written exam is multiple choice.
Hi nurse Julie to raise the bed only the head? for her to be comfortable or head nad feet?
Hi, Edna! Raise only the HOB to a High Fowler's position.
Sorry for ask Nurse Julie, but does prometric require to use barrie under the bedpan?
