its not really a good thing to say people should just do it because someone yell call the cops, many more people in the world will abuse the power of good natured people and do it for no reason
my case in point to a video with some teenages who faked a kidnapping of themselves just for fun or the grown woman who posted videos of herself on facebook supposedly kidnapped just for attention
i know kidnapping has no link to what was happening with the woman but it is a link to my argument of how people abuse the power at hand.
think about all the people in the world young and old who would abuse the power of saying call the cops on said person for any reasons they can think of. Some will do it for fun, some because they can so and so on
its best to figure the situation first and do what you can even if the criminal is gone
plus stop to think if the people around her have kids or if the criminal in question has a weapon.

916 Yes, what he did was wrong. It is considered indecent, and sexual harassment. He was doing this to minors, potentially very young girls, and there's nothing wrong?? Anyways, nobody in that Target knows he even did anything at all to form a "what he did wasn't wrong/okay" opinion. They did nothing with a woman screaming after a man to call the cops. He honestly could have done anything, potentially taken a child and robbed her even, and nobody did anything. That's the point here.
916 Given the fact it is illegal, then yes, it is a big deal. The video may mot have fully shown it, but Shane was explaining the progression this man used in his conversation with women. Including asking more personal questions about if they would wear it, what would they wear with it, and more than likely all in a very sexual way. This man also came up with a story about having two kids and a wife to cover his dirty plot to prey on just normal women in Target who really didn't know any better. In his apparent confession, he admitted to filming these women for his own gain and pleasure, against their knowledge of course. Also, to put it in perspective, this happened to the same woman TWO YEARS AGO IN THE SAME TARGET. Meaning this creep has been going around for at least two years doing this shit. He confessed to preying on minors also! Eluding to sexual things, or really sexual exposure in most senses, to a minor is, in fact, illegal. Just go and cuss the guy out and leave?? What if he decides to attack afterwords? You clearly don't know how predators work. Anyways, the woman basically did that the first offense. She got uncomfortable and left. Clearly the point wasn't getting acrossed as it happened again two years later. This is the beginning of sexual predators, and what they can look like and how innocent they seem to be until they finally reach a point of wanting more. What this woman did was tried to protect herself and any further women to possibly encounter the man. Doesn't seem like a bad thing to me, at all. I've had this happen to me before, multiple times honestly, while shopping alone and they've never been horrible per say, but a man whose behavior was similar to the man here followed me around the whole store once, asking me personal questions about my life and wouldn't stop, and then slipped in perverted remarks and questions. This is a real thing that happens, that can only lead to worse behavior, and needs to stop being treated as nothing wrong. I mean really. It's stupid and disgusting.

But as you said, heat of the moment. Not to mention there were no security guards from what I could see to stop him, and it would have been dangerous for the witnesses to try to stop him themselves. I've no clue how I would act in this situation. So scary!

I had a stalker for 2 years and they would break into my house constantly and leave me creepy notes in spots around my room (their favorite spots were my underwear drawer and under my pillow) and i still dont know who it was or why they did it. The last time they broke in, they broke my dads gun locker and stole almost all his guns, then they left a mutilated chicken in a ziplock bag in my mail box.

The scariest thing to me about the woman in Target chasing that stalker 2yrs later is that she was yelling “stop that man” while chasing & filming him, you can hear the seriousness in her voice, yet not one single person so much as flinched to consider stopping him. They ran past multiple workers, he even almost bumped 2 male workers at the stores exit & even with her yelling for help, not a single person so much as considered it. For all they knew, he’d just attacked somebody!!
It’s not even about her being a woman, it’s about how nobody cares about people anymore. If my man saw someone chasing someone yelling for help to stop them, brace yourself cause you about to get crash tackled & pinned by a giant that’ll ask questions later 😂😂
Anyway, most terrifying thing to me in that is how nobody wanted to help. Certainly doesn’t help make people feel safe knowing if you needed help for any reason & were yelling for it, you’re probably not gonna get it. Pretty shameful 😔😔

Currently sitting in the exact middle of my bed hugging my pillow with all of my lights on
last year when me and my cousin were shopping for christmas presents (she was 9 and I was 15) we took a pause at a sushi restaurant. we were casually eating when we noticed a man not too far away from us staring at us. He stared at us for maybe 15 minutes before he came up to us and tried to give us around 100$. We thanked him but said that we didn't need it and that he should give it to someone who does need it, but he kept telling us to take it. I have social anxiety and easily get panic attacks so I just stared at my cousin and hoped that he would go away. He then put the money on our table and said "I'll give you this if you come with me for a while" and winked while touching my shoulder. We kept saying no and he eventually went to the bathroom. Luckily my cousin's friend's parents were there and came up to us and asked if we were okay. We went to sit at their table instead and the man came up to us again and started shouting at us for not taking the money and coming with him.
Later when we left we had to split from the adults, we were about halfway to our last stop when we saw the man again. When he saw that we saw him he quickly tried walking over to us and we just ran and screamed so that people would help (it was really crowded but noone took us seriously) we repeatedly said "we don't know him" and stuff like that, but noone helped. Our parents thought we were joking so he was never reported or arrested.
If a child/teen is screaming for help and saying that they don't know a person *please* , for the love of god, atleast speak to them.
If you say your parents don't believe you and anyone in the crowded area didn't react if say this comment is fake

I'm sorry people around you didn't react :( I've heard other stories like this where people instead of helping whip their phone out and start recording it

Why am i suddenly obsessed with these 6 years later..?
I was in 5th grade and I walked out to the bus stop a little earlier then usual because I'm terrified of being late. Normally when I go out to the bus stop two little kids and their grandma would be there, but since I went out earlier they weren't. I sat down on the ground and started playing games on my phone. This small little grey car that i have NEVER seen in my little neighborhood came up to me. There were two grown men in the car with sunglasses on. They had the window down and both of them looked at me really weird. I got nervous and dialed 911 just in case they did something, but as soon as they saw I had a phone, they drove away really, really fast. And now I never go early.
