Two other substances are needed to assure the salvage pathway for NAD+. One is an NAMPT booster. R-alphalipoic acid (R is the natural form) or quercetin do this. I take both. The other is the CD38 blocker Apigenin which I also take. L-Leucine taken without any other amino acids and also not with other BCAAs isoleucine and valine boostes the effect of NMN and resveratrol. I take that to along with 100 mg resveratrol every other day. I also take 1000 mg AKG every day along with the others. AKG may be the best possible fuel for making ATP and squalene, precursor to many hormones. It's just one step away from the last molecule before exiting the Krebbs cycle. NAD+ catalyzes the reaction of AKG to Succinyl Co A. That's the molecule that leads the path out. The entire point of the entire pathway starting from glucose or whatever other fuel you use to get a high energy electron to turn ADP into ATP. This is the power that drives practically everything else. It's made in the mitochondria. Maximizing mitochondria and their production is currently a very important factor in the path to good health and longevity. There are possibly others but this one is critical.
Fasting or OMAD and MCT especially C8 appear to be very important too as do polyphenols derived from plant based foods. Blueberries are among the best. Other dark berries like blackberries and even strawberries and red and black raspberries are very good too. The powerful antioxidant glutathione is made from NAC and glycine in the liver. Taking it directly gives poor absorption. Melatonin and L-tryptophan are also useful for making NAD+. Taurine is now discovered to be essential too. I take all of these (not taurine yet) and many more.
What do you think of Sirtuin 6 activator? Only one known safe source. Rather expensive.

Really interesting. I'm thinking that people in dialysis, might have improved kidney functions with increased intake of methyl, via TMG for the kidneys. I don't know, if that would work, be harmful to the kidneys, under these conditions or not.

NMN is overpriced. NMN is broken down in the stomach into niacinamide and ribose. It is much cheaper to buy niacinamide and ribose and take them together.

I've read somewhere that all b3's boost NAD but too much blocks some enzyme or something that produce it. Usually 100-150 mg 3 x day of niacinamide is all you need to boost NAD. I don't know if the same amount applies to niacin@@GlossaME
