Over the last week the channel has passed over 1000 subscribers which for me is a hard number to comprehend when i first started doing all the 18 months ago. It’s been well worth all the effort and work and I enjoy making content. I just wanted to say thank you to all who have given me support and those who like and comment each week. Yes it was such an excellent plot twist when I read it. I really hope we get to see Jaehaerys in House of the Dragon, his part of the book was MUCH more interesting than the Dance of the Dragons.

This is one character I wish we could see on the show. She was probably one of the most alarming and interesting characters. She gave me real sociopath vibes. And it was literally right on the cusp of the timeline the showrunners chose.

Braxton Beesbury: I can take down any old man with a sword easily. Jaehaerys: I'm about to end this mans whole career. I think that Jaehaerys had the dragons anger, just like his uncle before him and some of his descendants after him. His Kingsguard swore his rage when his Master of Coin, Rego Draz, was murdered that they were sure they were looking at Maegor the Cruel when he demanded Draz's murderers gutted and hanged. The threats to Braxton for his punishment seem extremely harsh for THIS king precisely, but I think that they were all to push Braxton foolishly into a fight with Jaehaerys(who had trained extremely hard from a young age to be the fighter his father, Aenys, was not), all so the king could PERSONALLY take his anger out on Braxton and murder him himself.
I do think history is very kind to Jaehaerys, he did a lot of questions stuff too. Your point is well thoughts out, yes he was a good king, he learned form his predecessors mistakes. But he still had dragonsblood and still had his moments of rage

I'll add something about Saera and her time in the Lysene (correct me if I'm wrong) pleasure house. Years later during the great council of 101 AC. 3 bastard sons of Saera came over from Essos to try and see if they get the throne for themselves.
Yeah, don't know what they were thinking. If they're still around in Essos then some Targaryen blood still lingers in Lysene, among the few other Valyrians that are there, the last remnants of their race left over after the Doom. Maybe they kept their heritage in mind and, while no longer carrying the name Targaryen (since their fathers where whoever I guess) may have married with some Blackfyre's later on, for all we know. Just food for thought. Either way, some small strain of Targaryen Blood of the Dragon is over in Essos now

Part of the reason Laenor lost in that is because his royal blood stems from the female line. But that at the time, he was only 7 and a great grandson of Jaehaerys. While Voserys was 24 and a grandson. More closely related to the king compared to Laenor.
The more I watch videos on Jaeherys' reign, the more impressed I am how wise, understanding and loving of a mother Alysanne was, especially given how many children she bore and how different characters they all possessed.
Something I find interesting about Seara’s jab about Maegor is that in House of the Dragon, like when Viserys confronts Daemon, several times Aegon I having two wives is mentioned but no one mentions Maegor having multiple wives.

I think you have accidentally swapped the portraits of Beesbury and Mooton. Beesbury is probably the one dressed in black and yellow, since they are the colours of his house. Also he has he has a very sly facial expression, while Mooton (the one you put as Beesbury) shows in his face some compassion, which Braxton would generally not
It's possible, stuff like that has happened a few time. Normally because where i found the art has it listed wrong. I think in this case this was how it was ladled but your 100% right it does seem and feel like it should be the other way around.
