Apart from the ND MX5 for the weekend blasts, our main car is a BMW 2 series Convertible Auto M Sport (the car we test drove just happened to be an M Sport, we're not losers honestly - 17.30 secs! 😂) which only set us back £12500 (we always buy outright too, hate lease and balloon payments etc). Only paid £14500 for the ND which was 3 years old at the time, so in a way our weekend toy set us back more than the main car.
Great choice! The BMW X5 is far, far better than the Range Rover. A few points: the 4.8i isn't great on mpg (but nor was the Range Rover 😂), and that it does generally have more issues and less reliable than the bullet-proof 3.0D engine. I am into my sixth winter living in and exploring full-time in the X5 e53. I absolutely love it! A fantastic vehicle on & off-road. By the way, my X5 has had an updated Pioneer Satnav/radio/Bluetooth Android/iPhone touch-screen system built into where the old BMW satnav used to be, and it looks like part of the original car. Average 35mpg on a long run and will give 50mpg on long sections of motorway. Town driving and stop/starting obviously drinks fuel ⛽ far more.
I really like this video...specially the intro about the billing cost...we know but it does catch u off guard but just know it's a strong robust car...I got it in grey is the sport look 😂 yh they going up on insurance too I pay 1000 a year in London...agree with u about the suspension definitely a truck lol not for a farm...they r a bit thirsty tho 😂😂

I think every car is going up on insurance to be honest. At least they don't have keyless entry to worry about.
This reminds me of that old saying; "Out of the frying pan, into the fire."
Agreed
hurrah !!! at 5:00 he cleaned the lens !!🤣🤣🤣
I know. It was the inside of the camera lens that had steamed up. Thankfully noticed when we got in the car.
Love my x5
God it's a sexy car
you did good
I love the honesty I do u r sooo true...but I still like the car
Does this X5 have the n62 that suffers from valve stem issues?
It does yes. No signs of this issue on ours though.
No she's right there's an x5 m yes a four exhaust twin turbo and theres a 4.4 550bh and a 12 plate e70 550I w. 400bh
Why not the m57 engine?
She does short journeys back and forth to the gym etc. I think she'd clog up a diesel too quick
End up with the same mpg with short journeys @@fullyplantd
Oh man!! clean you camera lens !!!!! nice car
I disagree re the infotainment, you use it EVERY journey in a modern car as everything is on the screen. If it's laggy and slow it ruins the car
I don't think any regularly used controls should need a touch screen. Buttons and twisty knobs all day long for me
@@fullyplantd I don't disagree, but it's how it is nowadays
Its just not a Range Rover…..
This is a valid statement
Thankfully...😂 The Range Rover would be parked in the mechanic's garage most of the time.
The Audi Q7 quattro is way way better..Poor choice on bmw,and the Range rover..
I completely disagree. I've never liked the Audi as much as the Merc and BMW.
The q7 is worse than the range rover
@liamsxa give over,,the Q7 is far superior,,,and I've owned both..
@markb1487 it just isn't it's utter garbage
@liamsxa laughable
