I sized up to a 6.0 mm crochet hook and ch 1 between clusters, ch 3 in corners and its working well. I had to losen my tension to get it to line up lol. I like not having as many ends to weave also.
It took me a while to get the hook size and tension to where the colors worked; once I got that under control, I too, can get a square done in 10-12 minutes. I personally like this yarn - don't have to think about changing colors and the dreaded weaving in of ends !

It definitely has a learning curve but I was able to make it work for me using 4.5 and 4mm hooks lol. Now I love it.

All of your crocheted granny squares are very lovely and I have already crocheted me some granny squares like your granny squares only thing is my is four different colors and I have used one H8 5mm crocheting hook I thinking about using the same crocheting hook that you have crocheted with

I have heard soany that it doesn't work with the pattern given. When doing it how they usually do it then it works out well. I find that weord but all for the love of crochet. Everyone has their own tension etc.

I think you might have miscounted how many you got from the first skein. I have used probably 20 skeins of it in different colorways and always get 15 squares per skein.
Oh that’s so interesting… I’m pretty sure I counted correct but it’s very possible that I miscounted lol!
You did count correctly, as you were allowing for both skeins in total! 😔💥

I really love this yarn and the color ways are so pretty. Currently working with two variations of the yarn for a dress ill be putting together. After I made two squares they worked up pretty flawless. Im hoping they make more of the yarn available in new colors! Id use the squares for a sweater, especially in those colors! I should have picked up some of that one ✨✌️
