For a hardcore band they put so much thought and structure into their songs. My highschool years were me and my buddies cruising around in my 89 Cadillac cranking hardcore. And when we got near sidewalks where people were hanging out talking and there were hot girls or other punks this song immediately got played. Loud!!! It was like throwing up a flag saying hey this is us and if you are our people you respond back LOL HAHAHAHAHA! So we always were able to find the other hardcore kids through this amazing anthem of a song and it usually led to more people piling in the Cadillac and heading to a local skate spot or spots for the rest of the day and usually ending up at an all ages show that night hahaha! Hardcore shaped me into the man I am today. Kept me grounded and gave me morals and friends that would last a lifetime!! Sorry for the long comment but it all came rushing back to me!!!

These guys were on to some amazing musical things in the span of 18 months or so; incredible, and lasting! 2 defining records for heavy music in the 90s and beyond (yes!).
This video used to rotate on Much Music's LOUD Friday night program with George Strombo. Used to tape the videos on VHS so I could listen to the songs as I didn't have high-speed internet where I lived and downloading songs from LimeWire or Kazaa was a nightmare.
I love how straightforward and simple the production of this song and video is. No fat, all muscle. And god, metalcore started going in some horrifically overproduced and shitty directions a couple years after this.
Did someone forget to tell the world about Strife? what the hell, time to take it back to the old school! Cull the New Metal choking out the scene that these guys made happen.

dude strife may have been the very first hxc band i had ever come across(it was either strife or blacklisted) i was street punk at the time and somehow while searching for new music on limewire i found it and was like.. holy f**k what was that??! my life was changed. it took me years literally to figure it all out. and worth ever effort i am eternally grAteful for this sound
