I have used Schaefers oil for 15 years now. I have a 2005 Dodge Cummins 5.9 motor. I change every 25000 miles and samples tested show this oil still holds its integrity. I have 300000 on my truck. Nothing ever done to the motor
One way of saving the planet is making things last a long ass time and reducing friction while you're at it. And making and transporting less things and using the less of the top of the line durable and usable things...
It's a kitty most of them can go for 2 million miles and owner operator's rebuild their engines at 1 million, so what he's talking about is not uncommon in diesel engines and it's not because of schaeffler's, it's called maintenance.
I have 33k on my schaeffer 9000 5w40 in my duramax. I use 1qt every 4k miles so with topping off, my analysis pretty much has stayed the same since I had 13k miles on it. I would expect that if I drained it and went to rotella 15w40 cheap stuff within 3k miles my analysis would not look as good as my oil currently does with 33k.
i am a jabroney they said 50k miles but these large Engines have more than one oil filter sometimes and can do lots of miles otherwise a semi would need an oil change weekly which is inconvenient
Because companies like Mobil, Shell, Chevron and Schaeffer do real world fleet testing of their products. They’ll use large fleets that run a lot of miles to test their products. People have more confidence in the results than if the companies just did in house testing alone.
Caterpillar loosened up engine tolerances years ago so no wonder they are getting the miles they are. Can't stand Cat engines, my agency has many in the bone yard.

Change at 25000? I can not wrap my head around that. I use t6 and do 3500 and 5000 intervals
@@johnjoyce9913 How do you feel about all the AMSOIL fan boys who claim the same thing ?
I love my truck more than the money saved on extended oil changes.
@@oldsalt8011I think you kinda missed the point of the video his comment. 300,000 Miles with no problems speaks for itself.
@@Captain-Awesome Well, I just don't think that I want to run an oil change up to 25k miles. I'll think about 7k or less.
Let's see how that oil stands up to a new emission engine with all the soot going back into it.
New emissions? Only a the commie States care about that.
IMO it is worth the difference in cost to buy the premium oils. Especially if you rack up high mileage and plan to keep your vehicle for a long time.
Holy crap look at the cillinder head!
Amazing for 60K mile intervals.
A great engine with a great oil. It could’ve run much longer without tear down.
just had a LB7 duramax built can it be your next huckleberry??
Pretty darn impressive!

Yes but higher quality oils will need oil changes less frequent allowing the truck to stay on the road longer
Can you back up your claim with data?
Still should show alot more wear than that that's impressive
@@Maddog3146 i rebuilt my cat with 1.5 million miles(just regular oil) and was clode to that.... schaeffer is just a snake oil
@@bryanmartinez6600 bs... i just changed the oil on my cat engine following the manual...1.5 million miles with regular diesel oil...
How often was the filter changed? Was a bypass filter system used?
60,000 between oil changes? That's a lot. I've seen several kitties well over a million.

What oil do you recommend for my air-cooled VW bug that's modified from a 1.6 l to a 2.3?
What year is the engine? What tier is it for the emission standards?
What engine serial prefix is this engine? MXS, BXS, 6NZ, etc? ACERT system installed and functioning?
This is like 175,000 miles in comparison to stop & go city driving for a domestic driver.
Mine is 350,000 miles runs like a champ c15 single turbo. Oil I use is Petronas 15w40 CJ4
Why was it tore down then?

Holy shit 30,000 miles oil change???????????
60,000.. oil analysis at 30,000
I’m calling BS on that. You can see that some of that has been cleaned before showing it in the video.
Been running Schaeffer oils for years. No BS here.
