    In my short experience playing 100 sq inch rackets: Diadem Nova FS 100, Pro Kennex Ki5 295 (2022), Tecnifibre TF-X1 300, Pro Kennex Black Ace 300, Prince Vortex 300 and Head Speed MP, the Speed MP is by miles the best of these.
    + Best sounding racket with Head Lynx Tour at 22kg
    + Excellent 2-handed backhands
    + Not stiff, which is always welcome
    + Great ball pocketing
    - Backhand slices need some adjustments
    - I don't like the grommet's slot extending so low towards the throat area. This could bother some people on the 1-handed backhand, especially people like me that grab the racket's throat quite high

    Just bought a speed pro 360+. Fantastic racquet. It’s like a prestige on steroids. Coming from a head radical tour so it’s quite nimble. 😅

    I prefer the 2022 Auxetic version of the Prestige (Pro) over the 2019 360+ (MP) version. It is more stable and better plough through with the same feel. Maybe the swing weight and/or balance is different, but I felt the need for a bit of weight in my 2019 whereas I’m really happy with the 2022 version in stock form. Adding weight hasn’t even crossed my mind.

      I agree. I did not like the 2019 version. But, I do love the Auxetic Prestige Pro. Groundstrokes area dream. Great plow through and perfect in stock form. The only issue that I have is that I cant get any spin or action on my serve. That is the only thing holding me back from making the switch. Otherwise, the best I have played with other than the Pro Tour 280 from my younger days!

    • @johnbrondumnet
      @johnbrondumnet 2 роки тому +1

      @@steveschaeffer5999 I'm using the HEAD Lynx Tour at 43 pounds (and I'll try 40 pounds for my next restring) - the low tension combined with a shaped poly is a great boost to the spin potential. I've also in the last month added 3 grams at 12 in the hoop. My game revolves around my serve, and the Prestige Pro with my set-up is (for me) the best serving racquet that I have owned and demoed.

    The Speeds are versatile racquets indeed, but for me, the thick beam and large headsize make it cumbersome. Also, on the 360+ versions, both Pro and MP had a deadspot on the upper hoop. Hope it is now fixed with this new version

    • @Tennisnerd

      Yeah, I generally prefer thinner beams and smaller heads. But that dead spot seem gone with these - I also noticed it.

      I have Ezone 98 2021 model I find it not powerful enough compared to Head Extreme Tour and now Babolat Aero 98 which is a superb racquet imo more powerful than Ezone and Extreme but also really good control with Babolat Blast 125mm 52 lbs. I am selling Ezone as restrung with hyper g and Technifibre biphase but still not powerful enough although very good with feel and control if don’t try to hit too hard with it. But against top club players a lot younger than me I need more free power to keep them from dominating rallies with their powerful top spin ground strokes

    Played with the MP yesterday. The grommet slot going so down in the throat area bothered me on the 1-handed backhand. Excellent frame to hit the 2-handed-backhand, even better than the Boom Pro here. Maybe the best sounding racket I've played so far. I would put some weight on the handle and at 3-9.

    Beam width and head size determine ease of finding sweetspot. But too much creates air drag. There should be a tennisnerd rule on the relationship between Beam width and head size. But visually boxbeam makes more sense when taking this perspective in my opinion.

    Ciao, Jonas… The new Speeds are getting great reviews from TW, especially the Pro. Chris said that he is switching from the Tecnifibre T40 305 to the new Speed Pro as his racquet of choice. I am testing the Twistpower 100x tour and the Twistpower 100x right now. I still have my Pure Strike project one 18x20, which I like, but I am endeavoring to put more spin on the ball, and to go with a bit lighter frame. In general, which new Speed would you recommend to a 4.0 player with a one- handed backhand? And would you recommend the TP 100 over the Speeds? All the best, Jonas.

    I'm not sure if it's quality control issues, but I tried one today and was closer in SW to the specs said here and not at TW. Demanding racquet compared to my Pure Aero 2019.
    I bit disappointed if I have to say, I was sure to change since I tried the previous and I just felt a lack of stability.

    • @filippobertetto
      @filippobertetto 2 роки тому +2

      @@dimep.7232 PA is crispier, stiffer. It generates more spin since that's it's focus and has a bit more free power. That said, I think Speed is good with speed and better balanced power. But it's subjective of course. I wanted to change the PA since it eats strings and stiffness, plus I struggle attacking half court personally, most of the time I felt I had to be careful otherwise the ball was going out.

    • @dimep.7232
      @dimep.7232 2 роки тому +2

      @@filippobertetto thanks, I've tried an older Pure Aero and it was so stable! But yeah I like the Speed for the reason you said cause I can attack mid court with good results. This racquet gives me confidence compared to powered racquet. It is a well good balanced but can lack stability sometimes. Also it's not harsh for the arm, quite flexible racquet with the low RA. It's more demanding compared to some easy power racquet but I really like it 👍

      By the way I have the 360+ model white and the black edition from last year but not the one in this video. I've never tried this new one yet. Thought this last one was whippier according to TW such as you said and playtesters from TW but not confirmed after viewing this video and the one from tennis gladiator channel. About the same SW apparently. Mine from 2020-2021 are about 298g, 32,3cm balanced unstrung but quite easy to moove. SW is about 290 unstrung I guess and around 320 strung (I've asked for matching and had some figures, TW measured about 5 racquets, some may be off specs).

    How would u compare these with the Gravity Pro? It might just be me, but I feel the Gravity pro has decent spin and power already. I've tried a lot of "more powerful" rackets like the aero vs, but it seems that the Gravity doesn't lose out as much on spin as much as launch angle.

Don't know how to explain exactly but It's not a Crisp sound like my Wilson Blade that I enjoy. I think it's because of Graphene 360 and 360+ that they put in or whatever they promoted. Therefore, I really Didn't Feel contacted to any Speed series rackets. These previous generations it's Definitely NOT for me though. Hey Jonas -- I was wondering if you have any thoughts on whether Head racquets have poor quality control and unreliable specs? I've seen some reviews on retailer websites saying that because Head racquets (along with other major brands) are now made in China, the racquets are cheaply made and two frames within the same line (Speed, Prestige, etc) might have very different swing weights and balance?

    • @Soul_guided
      @Soul_guided 2 роки тому +1

      yeah that's the main issue with all brands apart from Yonex coz they have their own manufacture in Japan, specs may be different if you buy the same rackets from one retailer, so its always better to go for matching service if they can check swing weight, balance and weight before you buy the rackets. I think manufacturers can't really control for 100% specs of the rackets, even yonex sometimes can go off with the specs.

    Hi Jonas or anyone reading. I'm arround a 3.5 player and I own the speed MP, I'm really enjoying it but I feel like sometimes in defense I could use a little bit more depth/spin, and I know this stick has in inside, but I have to find the proper string and tension, and I don't know a thing about that nor have the money to test arround, what would you recomend me? Currently I'm using a monofilament don't know really which at 50 pounds

    Is the lack of confidence in the MP because the ball sailed? I demoed the last version and it was an adjustment to get used to that. I felt like I had to really do a wiper stroke with my forehand. But once it was grooved it felt nice

      I've been hitting both Speed Pro and MP this week; firstly, I really like both racquets. Re the MP, it definitely felt better suited to a more topspin focussed style of play, and the Speed to a more flatter style.
      I think the way you described your experience is the same as how I felt about this new Speed MP.

    Is the 62 RA a new low for the Speed? Couldn’t find the previous gens’ specs. And didn’t know it was the most popular (by sales I assume) - would have thought Radical.
    Not a huge fan of mostly white sticks but looks ok and Jonas seemed to hit pretty well with it. Think they made a big mistake not releasing the blk/copper one ND used worldwide.

      @@Tennisnerd Thank you! Im trying to switch from the Radical Pro Graphene 360+ and recently demoed the Speed Pro Auxetic. I really enjoyed the racquet, but found it a bit difficult to serve how I usually do and the serve is a big part of my game. I couldnt really dial in on the first or second serves with it and I plan on demoing the Graphene 360+ Speed Pro and MP. I hit a heavy forehand and a relatively flat backhand. Do you think I will enjoy the previous speeds better than the auxetic? (I don't want to demo the current MP because I don't want to have customize it as much. I currently play at a junior college as well.)

    Hey Tennisnerd.
    I bought the new speed mp and it came pre strung which suprised me.
    Does head usually sell their racquets pre strung and in that case do you know what string they use and at what tension?
    The string looks like a black poly with head stencil.
    Thanks for info.

    • @Tennisnerd
      @Tennisnerd  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Martin, I don’t think Pro and Tour models come strung but I’m not 100% - when it’s strung it’s either HEAD Lynx (softer feel) or Lynx Tour (stiffer). I would guess it’s Lynx in your racquet at 52 lbs strung.

    • @dimep.7232
      @dimep.7232 2 роки тому

      The previous one was pre strung with Lynx around 24kg from Head. But in the one I had, two years ago, the factory string was damaged (burned) and dead for the first use so I've cut it after one 20 minutes of play.
