I was lucky enough for Head to send me the brand new Head Speed Pro 2022 before its release next month, so that I could test it out!
In this video I give you a sneak peek and talk you through my first impressions of the new frame. This is my first tennis racket review, so let me know what you think. I aim to review the new Head Boom very soon, so your feedback is appreciated!

You’re welcome Ivan. The pro version is heavier than the MP and has an 18x20 string pattern rather than 16x19 and It’s suited to more advanced players. I hope this helps!
Very informative. The copper highlights reminds me of the Cupra car brand, and the new Auxetic logo is also like the Cupra logo! I really like the Speed Pro 360+ which personally I find easier to swing than the MP version which although a few grams lighter is noticeably head heavy.

Nice review. I’ve been a Speed player since the interchangeable grommets. Haven’t found anything better for my game since that stick until they released the Boom Pro. Been hitting with that for about a month and really enjoy it.
I’ve loved the speeds, but like you, I’ve also enjoyed the Boom… tough decision for me!

I got a chance to demo the Pro, I gonna tell you, that new technology Head got, it's making a big difference. Even though it is 310 g (unstrung), when you play with it, it isn't feeling like a 325-26g racket at all. Perfect balance between weight and feel.
Is there improvement or benefit over the previous version to warrant replacing/upgrading from the previous Graphene 360+ version with this new one?

Hi, I recently switched from an older Extreme model to an older Speed model, thr Youtek Speed MP and I quite loved it. Now I am thinking about switching to the newest model, the Speed 2022 MP. Should I maybe stick to the older one or is the new overall better?

Torn between the radical mp and speed mp…currently playing with a pure strike, but too stiff and want something more comfortable with better feel…all court player, lots of slice, topspin forehand, lefty kick serve, older now so don’t like the classic pro versions. Thoughts?
Would you recommend buying the Speed Pro 360+ (previous model) or the 2022 version instead? Not sure if the Auxetic technology makes a difference. I purchased the MP version of it, so Im hesitating whether I should get another MP one or also get a PRO model.

Hi, i am curious is there’s a noticeable difference between speed pro 2020 and 2022. I really liked demoing 2022 version And i am thinking about switching. But i also heard there is no big difference between the two. What i am most concerned about is the swing weight. TW says the current one is 326 and the older one is 329. Did you find that to be true? I would like to hear some thought. And if you did switch to the 2022 version

Been a big fan of the Speed Pro but my personal favorite is the 2018 version. I basically stocked up on this particular model - 6 frames in total.
Is that the graphene 360?
@@hernangarciareynoso Yes! According to the specs, the SW for that version is 318. Seems like that spec has been creeping up higher over the versions.
@@anacap007 whats the real difference between the 2020 version of the speed with the mostly white version as opposed to the 2022 one. its 100 dollars more so

Great video. I’ve been using the head speed S for the last few months. Since the 2022 line doesn’t include the model S do you know which model is similar?

Thanks for the review! I currently have the 2018 Speed Pro which is 1pt HL. From what I can find online it says the 2022 version is 6pts HL - but at 2:26 you have it listed as 9pts HL. Do you know which is accurate? The latter seems like more of a drastic change from what I currently have which makes me a bit hesitant.

It’s quite hard to pin down words to describe the sensation… it was just different. It took me an hour of hitting to get used to it but really like it now.
The speed Pro hasn't ever been the same as the head graphene speed XT but that may just be I like the XT head series as I still use to the radical pro to date
Racquets are such a personal thing, I was actually a fan of the Graphene Touch and struggled when moving to the 360… but I grew to love them and would now probably struggle to go back! 😂
I am in the process to get a new raquet: Radical MP, Speed MP, Boom MP are my options.
What is your advice for using in clay courts?

@TheTennisMentor - I see you play with both Radical MP and Speed Pro. I am struggling to choose between the two. Radical feels more precise and whippy. Speed has a better plow.
Why did you choose Speed Pro over Radical MP?
For me it gives me a good amount of everything… I like the easier power! The radical is great but the speed suits my game better
Time to save up I think. My 2015 Speed Pro can happily retire if one of these ends up in my bag

Thank you! I haven’t actually played with the gravity before so couldn’t tell you (yet). I’m reviewing the new gravity when it comes out soon so it may be worth watching!😊

I loved the 360 and when changing over to the 360+ felt a bit off but got used to it and preferred it. With the Auxetic, felt good straight away and now I love it. All three are great frames, whichever one you use you’ll learn to love!

How do the Speed Pro auxetic and Blade v8 18x20 match up?
I haven’t tried the Blade, but I will be soon so I’ll come back here to let you know!
I used previous speed MP 300 gm then changed to prestige pro 2021 -320 gm with prestige I got more power and serve better but heavy for me for baseline strokes especially slice and one hand backhand so I back to Speed Mp again in second time using it after prestige pro with 320gm i felt Mp is light 🤣 needed more weight so I added 10 gm lead tape at 3,9 position so i felt more comfortable so speed mp after adding 10 gm more lovely
So advise me
Speed pro 2022 with 310 gm or mp with 300 gm ?
I am confused I’d like to play with Mp as spin easy and light wight can be modified
But Speed pro seems to me perfect with 310 gm but worry may be spin difficult 18X20 pattern and more swing weight
So what do you think is better for me

The speed MP and Prestige Pro are very different rackets but sounds like you enjoyed both in different ways.
In my opinion, it sounds like you’d love the Speed Pro as it would fall somewhere between the two. For an 18x20 pattern, I find you can still get decent spin (100sq” head).
I use the Speed MP for coaching but have to use the Pro for competing as the extra weight is needed for sending and receiving heavier shots!

Yes Mp and prestige aren’t the same prestige very hard to play with that’s why I’m gonna buy a new spec confused between Mp and pro speed

Nice review, but it really doesn't make much sense to put a string you've never used on a frame you've just received. In engineering that's called confounding variables. Best to try both out with familiar kit!

I use head Lynx Touch at 52lbs but I hear that Hawk is a good string for the speed too!
Do you add any weights? Or play it stock?
I use weight to match my racquets but they’re pretty close to stock

Did you decide against comparing Speed Pro with Boom Pro. They are definitely different tools and was looking forward to a head to head comparison (pun intended)
Hey Geoffrey, I went for the Head Speed Pro, although it was close with the Boom… I’m still planning a comparison video, I have the new Extreme coming soon which will be interesting as I’ve never tried one! After reviewing that, I plan to test some side by side with our smart court analytics… would that interest you? I may need to steal your pin for my thumbnail 😉😁

I tried and testes most of Graphene, Not a fan of it at all, weird contact sound while hitting balls. If I can Compare to the old days of Ti, You Tek and Classic Pro Tour 630, Graphene is crap.
Is it worth it to upgrade?
I’d say yes if you’re using anything earlier than the current Graphene 360+… however, if you’re using the current model it’s very similar! Apart from the Auxetic feel which I’m already growing to love. It’s worth a demo if you can!
