A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ UA-cam. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of UA-cam I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on UA-cam won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This UA-cam channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different
This is a reaction video used to educated and give my feedback on the song and artist

Everybody gangsta until Let It Be plays.
Awesome comment haha dammit excellent
This needs to be on a tshirt!
Hear that my man😊
Nobody really gangsta, The Beatles and many others write truths (call them gospels) just to remind themselves (and those like us that didn't) every day.
hahaha great sense of humour,
I'm a Native American with the Navajo tribe and my father never went to school or spoke a word of English. The little English he knew came from working on the railroad for 50yrs. I don't know how or where he heard this song, buy it stuck with him. I don't even know if he understood what it was that was being said, but he would sing it ever now and then out of the blue he'd start singing "etta see, etta see" and we were all wondering where or what he was sing til he told use this was the song that he got it from n he told us he loved it. So when my Father passed away on 2004 we has this played at his funeral n this song always gets us when we hear it played. It's a very emotional song for us, my brothers n sister, cause it was something my dad loved n sang even though he didn't understand the lyrics or what the song was about. Love n Miss u Dad 😢😢😢
Lovely story.
hittingrabbit here. ;) thank you for sharing.
Wow, that is an incredible story, thank you for sharing that with us ♥️♥️♥️

The Beatles are for everyone.
Crying while hearing Let It Be for the first time is the correct reaction. Especially in this decade.
And in the sixties, too. The problems and fears were different, but just as serious - Vietnam, the fear of global nuclear war wiping out all life on earth . . .
@@stevenlowe3026 I was going to say the same thing. Peace seems to be an unattainable fantasy. But this song has helped to bring me peace in the 60s, 70s, and beyond.
Why only "this decade"? The calendar doesn't matter to however this lovely song makes U feel.
@@jessehammer4440 I was thinking of Covid.
I got to see Paul do this live....I cried when I saw the audience swaying their arms to this. It was a beautiful sight !
This is the reason why the Beatles are The Beatles..... a 100 years from now, someone will hear this and it will make then cry......
When it's real, it's real forever.
Paul McCartney wrote this about his mother, Mary, who passed away when he was a young boy and appeared to him in a dream when the Beatles were having troubles.
Really, never knew that thought he was talking about the virigin Mary this whole time.
A lot of people mistake that part for virgin Mary
@@jonathanmalone9574 I suppose that is part of the genius of the song. Like Robbie Robertson’s “The Weight.” One could interpret it as Joseph and Mary’s no room at the Inn in Nazareth. According to Robertson, it was Nazareth, PA, home of the iconic Martin Guitar Co.
@@SuperKamiPandaReact I’m going to be 63 in a couple of months and a Beatles fan forever and I learned of it less than 10 years ago watching a McCartney interview.
The Beatles do take us to church though, when Billy kicks in on the organ.
We played this song in church choir myself on the drums Marie Conner, piano, her brother trumpet, my brother trombone, and my sister clarinet…..
Although it was sung by a lot of church choirs !!! it was Paul’s mother he was singing about!!!

It doesn't matter how old you are, The Beatles wrote music for everyone! Music that will be enjoyed forever.
many beatles songs are the definition of 'timeless' this is one of the more impactful
Glad my mom introduced them to me in middle school
I really didn’t listen to them until I was an adult. And I was shocked how many songs I actually knew that had been covered over decades. They are timeless!!! Now I have a daughter (9) that plays guitar, and one of the first ones she learned was blackbird and she absolutely loves the Beatles. She asked me if I would take her to their concert. Umm.
@@thebaps1143 Bless her, she is obviously very talented and it shows that she has great taste in music 🎶
That's why they are the best band
I'm just an old white woman, but I absolutely love watching these videos of young people watching, listening, and realizing for the first time what has always been there. I celebrated it every time. It often makes me wonder how we as people allowed ourselves to be divided based on skin color, musical genre of choice, Regional location, whatever. The overwhelming love and emotion you feel listening to a song like this is why music is the universal language. Great job. Thank you, I really enjoyed it. Your grandmother must have been a wonderful woman, and I know you know that she is there directing, guiding, and protecting you always.
As another old white woman, right there with ya! Fortunately I was lucky to be born and grew up with these classics, and had a lot of fun! Sweet, sweet memories!
Girl same! Another old white woman saying just let it be!! Show love, respect for everyone! And I agree his grandmother must have been amazing!❤️❤️
I think the fact they are listening to the songs for the first time, and instantly like them, which doesn't always happen first time. Shows what great songs they are.
What I find funny is when youngsters realise that what they do we did too…with MUCH better music and depth. In a sense, I think we were a greedy generation. We had it all. For better or worse.
Music keeps trying to bring us together...so let's keep listening to each other's music
There's no one else like the Beatles.
nope but theres better called the stones buddy

how sad
Oh, mama. I am so sorry.

So sorry for your loss, my prayers to you and your family.
No need to apologize, it’s a very emotional song. ❤️❤️❤️ seeing a man emotional about a remembrance of a family member makes him more of man and a vulnerable human being. Love you man. Much love.
yup, a real man should never fear showing their emotions. This is an all too short ride, Friend, and letting it all out is a cleansing experience that tends to contribute to good health (Mental as well as Physical), and Healing.
Again, Be Well Bro,

"When Mary arrived where Jesus was and caught sight of him, she fell at his feet and said to him: “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” When Jesus saw her weeping and the Jews who had come with her weeping, he groaned within himself and became troubled. He said: “Where have you laid him?” They said to him: “Lord, come and see.” Jesus gave way to tears. At that, the Jews began to say: “See, what affection he had for him!”(John 11:32-36)
Wow. This emotional thing sure gets the chicks. :)
@@elizabethbird6930 I must have missed those lyrics.
A man that doesn't cry isn't a man. Your grandma helped mold you into becoming a loving human and you are a man because of that and your grandma is looking down proudly.
Never feel like you have to apologize for getting emotional. This is a powerful song and it touches everyone for different reasons.
She was reaching out to you.
daine the goat men always feel we have to apologize for being emotional sometimes you just have to let it be.. eh
This song touches me too. My mom and dad are passed and I think of both of them every time. We even played this at my dad's funeral. Everyone sang along, it was beautiful.
You never should be sorry for being moved by good music... Especially the Beatles.
My mom was a Mary. She passed 3 years ago. Even when she was alive this song made me cry because that is exactly what she would tell me. Miss you my sweet sweet mother Mary.

John Lennon

There's the Beatles and then everyone else. Their music belies the age of the four lads from Liverpool. I sometimes sit back and wonder how were they able to channel such great music at such a young age. Exceptional genius comes but once in a lifetime and I feel fortunate to have lived through their time.
Amen Jesse. The Beatles are my all-time favorite band. I am a musician and when i evolved as a player and as my playing became more intricate my ears became tuned differently as well. By that I mean I started listening to bass lines in songs way more and when I started really listening and hearing McCartney's bass playing I was addicted and that's what really changed my playing forever. It's hard to explain to people why they are really considered "The #1 Band of all-time" Etc..) Because its not just because of their songs. They were the 1st band to put " Liner Notes " in the album, so people wcould read the lyrics while they listen. They were the 1st band to ever do " Backwards Masking ", recording vocals and instruments and then adding it to the recording backwards. They were the 1st band to ever make " Music Videos " then using the videos as pieces of promotion and sending them to stations all over so the world could see them. They fully relied on this when they decided to stop touring in 1966-67... This list goes on and on. The McCartney/Lennon writing team is definitely and will definitely be recognized as the best forever and if those who ask why can't ever see what everyone else is talking about when we discuss the genius that is The Beatles then those people were born with an unfortunate disability, For sure. haha...Take care Jesse!
NO MUSIC NO LIFE !!
Yes. You've got it in one : 4 young working class men from Liverpool came together and created a body of work which transcended their time .... which will be loved as long as people love music.
No truer words were ever said. There's the Beatles, then everyone else is fighting for second place. No clear winner. The Beatles are the Big Bang.
@@phillipecook3227 John and Paul are the nucleus. They lived just one mile apart from each other. How insane is that?

Please, never apologise for getting emotional. This song itself is one of the Beatles' masterpieces. The history behind it, the smooth sound of Paul's voice, incredible progression of instruments and the wonderful message... it can hit hard. The best music helps us channel our emotions. I know it's been almost a year since you posted this but I feel the need to share my story about this song. I'm 58, I am and was a huge Beatles fan when I was a teen. My Grandmother died when I was 14. Her name was Mary. I remember sitting on my living room floor, holding her pictures in my hands and listening to this song. It made me cry terribly, but it also brought me solice to her death. Tears and acceptance...that's what this song did for me.
P M this song gives me the chills so emotional when you know the background behind the lyrics😢
We love the way you honor your grandmother’s memory. We understand, and feel for you.
This song was played at my dad's funeral. So it's a very special song to me. My best friends stood beside me and I'm very thankful for that.
I remember when John Lennon's life was taken and on the radio they played all the Beatles music from A to Z nonstop. It took four full days...at least. Yep.
I can remember the exact spot I was at on the 101 freeway when KLOS radio station broke in and announced that John Lennon was murdered. Sad night.
I had totally forgotten that. They did the same thing in Minneapolis.
I was 10, and my sister and I were in the car headed to the mall. My mother was driving and I remember what road we were on when the news came over the radio. She pulled over and started crying. My sister and I were a little too young to really understand what was happening, but her tears conveyed the gravity of it.
did they play revolution 9
@@Mr.Ekshin I was only five but I do have vague memories of Lennon’s murder, mostly because the memory was more impressed on me bc of my mother (now 80), and her reaction. The Beatles are her favorite band of all time, so naturally she had the same sort of reaction your mother did. That’s the main thing that left an impression of the event on my young mind.
Of course I’m a huge Beatles fan now myself and have been since my youth!
4:42 this is my favorite part of the song. The groove combined with those lines, "And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light that shines on me, shine until tomorrow" and "I wake up to the sound of music", describing how the song he's singing came to him in a dream. Fucking unreal
He’s so good he writes songs in his sleep…..literally
Beautiful tribute to your Grandmother, who was a beautiful, loving, woman who spoke wisdom to you, and was a woman of God, and in that she was a woman of hope. God's blessings on you and your family 🙏🙏🙏💖
I can relate, my beloved mom, passed away 1year ago, a month later, our beloved cat Callie, passed the same day, one month apart. Man still have a hard time everyday with my loss. Love you mom, miss you every second of everyday. RIP. In heaven.
Man don't be embarrassed, about crying. Shows you have a heart brother. Let the tears flow. God bless.
So sorry for loss of your grandmother, I feel your pain, may she rest in eternal heavenly peace. AMEN..
Crying to a song like this proves you have a heart and that music moves you the way John, Paul, George, and Ringo meant for you to feel. I still hear music that I cry like a little baby to. Music is supposed to move you that’s the point. Don’t ever apologize for being human.
I'm so glad you had a grandma filled with love, faith and wisdom. You were very lucky to have her. Remember what she taught you always and you will be okay.
I lost my mom when I was 33. I had put off moving out of her place for several years because she needed someone there to help her. As a result, I was existing in a state of arrested development, not really having to pay rent or the bills that most adults do. Then, she passed after just a month of being sick. Then, my dad died suddenly of a heart attack 18 months later, just as I was getting to know him. Three years later, my maternal grandma passed, at 95, from a stroke. I used to never take life very seriously, but now I see and interpret everything through the lense of someone who has gone through so much loss. Certain songs, movies, etc. take on such a different meaning because of my life experiences. Sometimes I also react to songs the same way that you did. And it's no big deal; it's just a sign of our growth and humanity.
Thank you for the words. Great reaction to this beyond beautiful song. I remember hearing it all those years ago👍
"Let It Be" is always emotional! Paul's voice is so sweet and strong in this song. It's about his late mother, but I always heard and sang it as more of a hymn. The lyrics are very moving -- sad and inspiring. And from the opening piano to George's heavy-duty excellent guitar solo to the "Ahhhh" harmony in the background & Ringo's beat & John's voice it's just beautiful. It's a... pure song. Peace....
Fun fact which you might already know: George did two lead breaks for this song, well three if you include the take which featured in the film (which was a different take to the one that made the album). The two lead breaks were recorded roughly 16 months apart and the version we heard here in this video is officially the last ever bit of audio recorded for a Beatles record, laid down in April 1970. George used a rosewood Telecaster in the softer original version, and his lovely 57 Les Paul 'Lucy' in the hard core version.
Well said. The older you get the more emotional it gets.
Never be sorry that you cried. Never be afraid to let your heart and soul be touched by beauty. But you know that already brother. God bless you, brother.
And yeah, I cried hard like I do every time. And yes, I ordered one of those YOU tee shirts while crying, cos those are the messages we need. Peace, brother.

Embrace the soul touching talent of the pre-digital era... When musicians put their very purest emotion into their art. It'll enrich you in so many inexplicable ways. You can hear it in their voices.... There's no "auto-tune" back then...
Nothing wrong with shedding a tear, it is a great song. I have heard this song 1000 times, and it still brings tears to my eyes. The power of music, and The Beatles! They are not the best selling artist ever for nothing.
Tears aren't a reason to be sorry or ashamed. Music that speaks to you and invokes an emotional reaction is a wonderful thing.

I heard it said - "Big boys don't cry. Men do." Your journey is continuing. My 34 year old son cries with me (his dad passed away when my son was 15), and he is still the strongest man I know, and has the biggest heart.
Brother, if you EVER apologise for getting emotional to something like this again, we're all going to have to give you a slap. Music like this speaks to the soul. You are meant to get emotional. Now give us a hug, James.
I was moved not by the music but by the reaction. It really inspires me to see someone moved by something beautiful. There are so many people who have little appreciation of beauty.
Yep. I still cry when I hear this
Feeling for you, James. I cry my way through this song, too. Never be afraid to show some love.
Listen guy.... just seeing you listening, with emotions.. You're making me cry... and I've heard this song, many times... Yes, I cry before too..
Four young lads from Liverpool changed the world, forever. How does something like that happen? How can so much talent unite like that? In about 7 years, they even changed how a generation thought.
That those 4 kids found each other has to have been an intervention by the universe.
