The Trackhawk was the last hoorah before everything becomes electric. The same with all the SRT models, the same with Cadillac and their V models. It's annoying because alot of these electric cars won't succeed as much as the high performance cars we have now but, it's the future and people would rather have fuel efficient minivans i guess. 😕
The people? 😂🤣 we definitely didn't have a say-so in that decision lmao! That decision was apparently for climate change and electronic control, invasion of privacy..
I’m so happy I bought a 2021 Trackhawk. Never did I think I would ever pay markup for a car but I did. And I have zero regrets. So far, I have not lost a single race, both from a dig and roll. I’m not saying I’m the fastest out there, but I’m up there. I actually could have bought a Tesla plaid. With the gas and maintenance, the Trackhawk ends up costing more than the plaid in 3 years (for me). But I wanted an suv. And the Tesla SUVs don’t do it for me. I wanted a supercharged v8 as well. The whine is amazing. The exhaust is amazing. I also have a 2019 raptor supercrew and 2019 5.0 pp1. My favorite vehicle at the moment is the Trackhawk by far. There are days where I burn through an entire tank of gas in one day. I average 8 mpg. Lol. I stay in sport mode and stay driving it fast.
Must be nice. I'll have to stick with my 2016 black High Altitude that I had the factory chrome deleted on. Still get lots of compliments. Would love to be able to afford the Trackhawk but I also live in an area that gets a good bit of snow in the winter, and the Quadra-Lift air suspension has really come in handy. Still dreaming about the Trackhawk though.
@@BirdsFn4Life nice bro! I’m in Cali, so it’s cool here. Other than u know, it being Cali. Lol. Bro, I’m getting 8 mpg on the hawk cuz I leave it in sport and race every fuckin chance I get. This is what I’m hearing. SRT nameplate is done forever with Jeep. Like you said there will be performance variants for the new WL platform that will feature a hybrid plug in or the inline 6. And last I heard it will still be badged as a trackhawk with those two versions. Hard to picture a performance version of the new WL platform. Way too boxy for my liking.
Yep… I’ll give you 3 letters: … E…P… A… aside from the fact this organization is comprised of unelected people who use our tax dollars to infringe on the rights, their entire makeup of the regulations they place on vehicle manufacturers makes absolutely zero sense. It requires auto manufacturers to make larger and heavier trucks and suv’s, while keeping the average mpg of them below a certain threshold. Its really nonsensical. They are just one of the many 3 letter organizations that needs to cease to exist.
Bro, ur forgetting the fact that they will be hybrids eventually and then strictly EV at some point not a simple inline V6 which means they will probably make GOBES of TQ with the ability to upgrade the Turbo's and be faster than the Trackhawk. Ppl are just gonna have to get over the loss of the V8 rumble but I dont hear anyone complaining about cars like the RS3 which is a 5 cylinder Turbo and sounds like a super car. Ur blowing the whole "No more V8" out of proportion. And not to mention the TH and the SRT were just poor sellers compared to other Jeep models. They are in business to make money not build something that sounds kool! Really enjoy ur content and enthusiasm!
@@TENNESSEETRACKHAWK sales were anywhere from 2k-9k since the wk1 SRT was introduced. It's a trim level. A unique jeep that purist and many folks hate and don't understand. (Performance truck). From 2018 to 2020, Jeep SRT sales were 6,000, 4,500 and 2,500. Production numbers aren’t available for 2021 yet. In that same time period, the non performance versions of the Grand Cherokee are consistently in the 200,000s. It’s simple: Jeep isn’t a performance brand anymore. The Trackhawk and the SRT are peanuts compared to what they make off the standard Grand Cherokee. And if you need a 2022 muscle SUV fix, Dodge is still selling the Durango SRT for this year and probably next. Lastly, the Grand Waggoneer can be bought with the 6.4L V8 in all three levels, not just the level 3. We looked at a Level 1 Grand Waggoneer with the 392 engine and went with a Hellcat Durango instead.
Ok AMG got ride of the big 6.3L V8 a long time ago and went with the 4.0 bi-turbo, Wife has a 2017 C63s and since AMG dumped the V8 we are not trading that in anytime soon. But when we go out to eat we take the 21 Jeep SRT.
Not sure if anyone remembers or not but FCA was bought out and its now Stellantis. They clearly are making the performance division strictly Dodge and Jeep will just be now your wranglers, Grand Cherokees Wagoneer etc. If you want performance then go to Dodge, thats why the Durango SRT is still there as that body style wont stop till MY2024. Dont be surprised if you see a Durango Super Stock version as well since both the trackhawk and SRT are now gone from the Jeep lineup that freed up some emissions compliances issues they had and may possibly do a last Horrahh for the Durango in the form of a redeye or super stock version. Dont be surprised if it happens. Dodge wont go down without a last Final BOOM!!
As you speak Cadillac has introduced the Escalade V with over 700 + hp so there is still an American muscle SUV and since you said yourself you like the Escalade sport just get the V.
Looks like the 4xe 4 cyl hybrid is already going to replace the 5.7L V8's so it's just a matter of time before hybrid & EV's replace the 6.4's & even the SC'ed Trackhawk's.
Y’all seem to forget that the SCOTUS is actually trying to limit the EPA on a lot of emissions , you need fossil fuel in order to charge your weak ass battery packs 😂 I don’t think the V8 will go anywhere tbh
