A very rare review of this keyboard. Much needed. There are tons of reviews for BW V4 pro and V4 75% but not this one. I've got the yellow switch QWERTY version. Loved it.
I got this keyboard (yellow switches) 2 months ago. Ive previously used the original Razer Blackwidow and was very happy with it. After a few weeks on the V4 i noticed that my tab key often double triggers when i press it only once. Now this issue has spread to the whole keyboard, when typing there is a ~5% chance that any random key can double trigger (or not trigger at all). Its especially bad on the tab key since i play mmos that heavily rely on this. Ive searched online and found other people who have the same issue with this keyboard. Would not recommend.
Randomly came across your video, so I'll give my two cents. I got the green clicky version of this keyboard 2 or so weeks ago. First week was great and I actually really love the keyboard! Now, some of the keys are double pressing their keystrokes (for me it seems to be the w, d, space, and backspace keys). From my days of googling it seems to be a known issue with these keyboards (random keys based on manufacturing). I saw some solutions that said to clean out the affected keys with 99.9% alcohol, but honestly, when you are spending this much money on a keyboard, this seems 100% unacceptable. Again, I love the keyboard, so it makes me sad that I think I'm going to return it to get something else.
Hello friend, the clicking problem you wrote about was similar to my Blackwidow v3 keyboard, the keys were staying pressed, so the warranty decided to send me Blackwidow v4. Do most people have this clicking problem? I don't want to have problems again
for anyone wondering about this keyboard, I dont recommend buying it until they fix the double typing issue with most of the keys. first it was my H key, aand now its my A key. the H stopped double tapping but more aand more keys are getting affected slowly by it. would not recommend until its fixed.
yeah i never understood the kickstand on razer keyboards cause it's quite high without the kickstand and more ergonomic. at least they included it as an option for others who likes it
Changed my mind and got Blackwidow v3 instead. Reason was that i got brand new for less than 90€. Also it has plastic wrist rest. Don't like fact that this one have that plush feeling and material.
I just got the green switch version of this keyboard that includes a hand rest, I was under the impression that the switches would be hot swappable, but I was mistaken, they're not hot swappable unless if you have the 75% version of the same keyboard model which does give you the ability to hot swap switches. Which to me was a bit disappointing to find out the hard way since there's not a whole lot of videos like this one out there. But overall, it's a nice keyboard, but I find it to be a little too expensive for the price point.
ive been using a blackwidow chroma v2 for...damn i mean probably 6 years now? and thought it may be time to upgrade and then i find out theres now a v3 and v4 didnt think the v3 looked like my kind of keyboard but this looks pretty damn nice will also be nice having a wristrest again since i lost mine ages ago and recently have been feeling some discomfort i believe because of that as well as the feet look a lot better then the ones on the v2 and i looked at the v4 pro but honestly i dont see why you would want that weird dial thing over just a 6th macro key and the little buttons on the side seem pretty useless as well
Bought a Logitech g915. Dont really like the built quality. Keys feels very cluncky and mushy. Thinking of swapping it for this keyboard. Any opinions ?

Get non razer key switches and swap them all, it should not be needed but its one of the good advantages of it being hotswappable
The kickstands actually make your hand positions less ergonomic, as you want your wrists to be level. It does make it easier to see the keys though.
Depends on your set up.
yeah i never understood the kickstand on razer keyboards cause it's quite high without the kickstand and more ergonomic. at least they included it as an option for others who likes it
you can change the lighting on the device itself by using fn+ctrl+any number - e.g. fn ctrl 2
Will get this and Basilisk soon! Nice review!
How's the experience so far? I'm getting the same combo for my setup and wondering how it'll be

Can you swap the key switches in this keyboard. I got the green colicky and wanna switch to the yellow
Is it water resistant?
Man if it had a USB passthru it would be the exact keyboard I've been searching for
So my room got droved in to and my Huntsman elit survived, not even a scratch on it built like a tank

You paid a lot of money for an enthusiast keyboard, and yet you don’t use the shift key or almost any punctuation keys. Bizarre.
i like but a lot of ppl have double click problem.

2 months late but you should get the keychron q2 pro or the blackwidow v4 75%.
❤ love the review help me decide to go for it ❤ it😊
Would've been better if it was wireless or usb-c to usb-c instead of the standard usb-c to usb
Im pretty sure they’ll be coming out with a wireless version of this keyboard
just buy a USB-C to USB-C cable if that's what you prefer
One bad thing on this keyboard she make a lot of noise..
difference with v4 pro?
I also trying to see this
the extra 5 macro buttons, 3 macro buttons at the side of the keyboard, additional dial wheel, RGB wrist rest, and usb-passthrough
Peace
I am left hand user. I can not live without numpad...Do not thing all people are right handed!
The texture will wear off within a year. Also 'leatherette' is just plastic. There is nothing leather about it...This is fact.
....i dont think you know what leatherette means lol. obviously it isnt real leather
Numpad on a gaming keyboard? Wtf
I fking hate keyboards without a numpad
Non numpad gaming keyboard lover = u are geaay!!!
@@fubisuper84What do you use numpad for
