    To see that she was gentle enough to separate the yolks from the whites even tho she knew she was going to mix them anyway is so comforting... My mom always makes this egg sandwich and it's as simple as boiling, mashing, adding mayo, a pinch of salt and stirring it all together inna bowl, i mean, is delicious anyway but this one is so nice ♡

    Egg salad sandwiches used to make me think of summer, or my mom and I making a bunch for our local parish for after a funeral, or of eating them in the community hall after a funeral of a distant family member. But now, all I can think of is my Mé Mère. She passed a few days before Christmas and I made some a few weeks before when I stayed with her to help for a bit, it was one of the last things I ate with her. She said it was delicious, I can imagine how impressed she'd be with this fluffy stuff.
    I think I'll make some tomorrow. :)

      It turned out really yummy! I added more salt and pepper and used Miracle Whip instead of mayo (that's what I had at home), and it turned out tasting like store bought egg salad sandwiches, plus I used homemade bread. I've never added sugar to it before but apparently that's exactly what it needed to push it over the top! 😋

      You know that thing where you think that something is a certain type of food and your brain builds up an expectation on how the food would taste like. When you eat it, you realized that this is not the food that you're thinking off and for a few seconds you don't know and hated the taste of this food, even if it's actually a type of food that you like but then you realized what the food is and everything is normal again.
      Like for example, let's say you through you're drinking orange juice because it looks like orange juice but it's actually tea and when you drink it, you got confuse and hated the taste even if you like bith orange juice and tea. I wonder if there's a word fir that experience.

PRO TIP: if you have a pilon/mortar and pestle, use it for the eggs! the pestle will definitely be useful for pushing the eggs through the sifter too.

    why do you have to separate the yolks from the whites when you mixed everything together in the end?

    • @JetyBety
      @JetyBety 4 роки тому +2

      The egg white is much bigger and harder to sift when not broken. They probably separated them to make sure all the whites were broken up properly before adding the yolk. Honestly you don't *have* to separate them, but if you want an egg sandwich with a soft consistency like the video has you should separate them.
