Ya'll need to take notes from this guy on how to make a tutorial.
Keeps the convo to a minimum.
Sticks to the points.
Doesn't bet for likes and subs.
Doesn't have an obnoxiously loud dubstep opening.
Dude is easy to understand, speaks loudly, and clearly.
10/10 would watch more videos from this guy.
I’m oo
I would like but you at 69 likes so what else to want in life
@@genzostarkillah1697 While I do like upvotes, I totally respect your mindset. :)
Thank u 4 sharing. Absolutely amazing tutorial. Ur awesome dude..
@0xBABAFE77 ua-cam.com/video/Y8vj-p68jQ8/v-deo.html
I just did and explained everything he did in less than a minute video.
The time stamp says 1:11 only because I had a little trouble getting the air filter back in place, but you may as well edit that part out.
Thank you so much! Lost my dad in Sept 09 and along with him went his knowledge of everything mechanic and my only source. I was able to clean the carburetor and fix the mower, even though I'm not really mechanically inclined.. and a girl! Thanks again.
sorry for your loss and good job I myself am trying to figure out this stuff
Being a girl has nothing to do with it
Same! I’m 26, daughter 8, full custody, dad died when I was 15 almost 16, and the lawnmower broke down…..long story short….UA-cam videos have always been there for me when I have no one for advice or help….. sorry for your loss…. I’m glad we all can come together nowadays to converse
I lost my dad Aug 3rd 2009. And just like you alot of things I took for granted and never took the time to learn catches up.
Aint no way....thus video was your only source
I wish I had taken small engine maintenance and repair rather than home economics in high school. You can buy a batch of brownies at the market for $2.00, but the repair I just did on my lawnmower was going to cost over $95.00. This is BY FAR the best video I found on cleaning a mower carburetor. Thanks for showing me how to save nearly a hundred bucks and giving me the information and confidence to repair something I've never considered being able to fix before. Many thanks!
14 years ago you have posted this video on UA-cam. It still helping people today. Just want to say thank you so much. I am a woman and know nothing for fix lawnmower. my lawnmower began had problem yesterday. It started but couldn't keep running. I was going to throw it away. But I have found your video and follow it. In 30 minutes, I have gotten it back to work. Save me $200. Thank you again!
I dont understand why your typical maintenance isnt taught in school anymore. Im sure glad those pottery class i took is helping me clean my small engine carburetor.
Great work my good sir. You get straight to the point. No lolly gagging or promoting some merchandise like others.
very helpful video, cleaned my carburetor and my lawnmower started right up. now I know how to do it myself.
Thank you every much, after cleaning my carburetor followed your instructions, my lawn mover is working
Thank you very much. I fixed my lawnmower myself thanks to you and your video. A few years ago, my carburetor got clogged and the lawmower repair shop charged me over $80 to take apart and clean, etc. This cost me NOTHING and it only took me about 20 minutes. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that value. Keep up the good work
Thank you for your helpful video. Followed your suggestion about cleaning and got our mower started again. Saved a few $100.
This video helped me discover the main jet was clogged, so a little carb cleaner and my own lung power helped blow out the debris. Thank you!!
Thank you. I removed the jet and cleaned out the hole with a wire and my lawnmower started right up. Great video, helped me a lot.
THANK YOU! You have the simplest, most "self-explanatory" video about how to take apart a lawn mower carburetor and clean it that I have found on youtube - I came "this close" to taking it and getting it repaired, probably for three-fifths the cost of a brand new one - but I followed your instructions and my lawn mower is running again - after 2 weeks of @#$%ing with it. You saved me $100 and I thank you!
Thank you so much !! This video saved me so much money... I was going to buy a new mower or get some guy to fix it ( at an outrageous cost). Now my mower is running good as new!! Thanks again
I wanted to thank you for showing me the wire clean out... It was easy.
Just fixed a 6HP rear bagger, am thrilled!!!
Thanks for posting, sharing your time.
thank you so much. You saved my day and purse! Can't appreciate enough for your work.
Really appreciate your video. After seeing your video I was inspired to clean out the old fuel in my mower which was needed to be used at another house but hadn't been run in 6 years. Thank you for your efforts!
Thanks for the great video. I like how it was short and to the point. Just what I was looking for.
Thanks! I couldn't figure out why gas kept leaking out the air filter but this totally fixed the problem!!!
WORKED PERFECT, POLLEN WAS FLOATING IN THE TUB
Thank you very very much. I have never done this before, but your video gave me the confidence I needed to clean the carburetor. The bowl had what looked like yellow resin rocks inside when I took it off. Now it works great.
Awesome, thanks for the video , i knew nothing of small engines and now have my mower running. great videos
Thank You for the video. I watched it once then tried it on my mower. Mower is running perfectly now.
That was WAY better than a couple other videos out there. Great job, and thanks for posting.
I had to figure all this out the hard way and here this guy just goes and explains it in 5 minutes. I still can't believe this is ALL there is to cleaning a lawnmower carburetor. That's IT?
Fixed a non-starting mower in 20 minutes using this info and a little brake cleaner. Thanx.
I have a push mower like that one and will remember this when I clean it up. Thank you so much for placing this video up for everyone to see.
Excellent Video! Fixed a leaf blower that had not blown in years thanks to your video. Five Stars from me!
Holy Cow!! I'm a total goof as far as being able to fix anything and I was able to do exactly what you said and low and behold my lawn mower runs. It was doing the run 2 seconds and then die with no chance of staying running unless you pump the bulb...and it's kinda hard to actually mow that way! I was ready to beat it into a pulp and then burn it. It was the only thing that could possibly bring me satisfaction for my mower has done this to me for years!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
Mark Bauer is the king of tutorial etiquette. Calm, clear, cool. No bs, just the facts. What's this guy's email so I can transfer him a couple of bucks. Saved me at least $50 - $60... I smell like gas now though. :D
Thanks for this great tutorial! I'll be cleaning my mower's carb soon because of your help.
Thanks for the video Mark. I have a lawnboy that didn't want to start and didn't even know where to begin. I pulled the bolt holding the bowl and it had some green crap covering all the jet holes. I used a paper clip and some carb cleaner, cleaned the bowl and my mower started on the first pull and first turn of the key. Now for some fresh gas!! Have a nice day
Great video, told me what i needed to know about fixing up a problem I had with the engine continuously stalling. Ran like new after this. Thanks for the great vid
Mark Bower, sir, you are my new best friend!! Thanks for the great video!!
thnaks a lot. happened to me twice this thing of having a blocked carb on my 10 year old rototiller. saw your video and was up and running in under 15 minutes. saved me over $50 for a 'service'
Thanks very much for this. Very clear instructions, and made the procedure easy and it did not take long. Saved me a repair bill or having to buy a new mower! :)
Great video! I just happened to have that exact same mower. My mower is now up and running great. Thank you!
Thank you so much...I used old gas and didn't know how to get to the carb. Appreciate your video!!
Thanks for sharing. Best tutorial I've seen so far.. I appreciate your help
This was so good and you are a good teacher.
I accidentally put dirty fuel into my mower; watched your vid and repeated the steps now it's running like a charm, thanks.
Thank you. I had been doing this blind for a while but now i kinda know what I am doing.
YOU ROCK MY FACE OFF! I'm fairly mechanically inclined managed to get the carb apart the first time hardcore cleaned out the whole thing...................and overlooked the tiny port near the end of the threads on the main jet(DOH) Thanks alot! You're video saved me $
This worked like a charm. Saved me $90.00 plus I did not have to wait 3 weeks to get it repaired as everyone has their lawn mower in the shop.
To clean the main jet in the carb I used brushpicks which can be found in the denal aisle in walmart or target
Got my mower runnin'! Thanks!
Nice clear tips, I now have a running mower :)
Very good demostration and is very accurate!
thanks this helped, i have a craftsman walkbehind and it was having trouble last fall starting. I seemed to help by wiggling the spark plug wire. Well this year before the grass starts growing I bought a tune up kit (oil, plug, filter, gas stab.) After putting all that stuff in the mower except stab. it still wouldnt start so i saw your video and just pulled that screw out and let some gas drain and i cleand the wholes out of that screw and bam it started up. Thanks you saved me buyinng new LM
Best video! Really helped! Thank you!!
Thanks for your video. I made a mistake and left old gas in my mower over the winter. I can get it to run 5 to 10 sec if I put gas on the air filter; I was thinking my carb only needed cleaning. I cleaned out the old gas a week ago. I was going to take the carb off the lawn mower unit is found this video. I am going to try this, this weekend and hope that it works!
Colby...at least he went through the trouble to produce a video and post it to youtube, sharing with many the knowledge he has, which I must say is very helpful to me. Instead of criticizing, why don't you do the same thing he did and show everyone what you are talking about??? I would appreciate it and I bet others would to, and you would understand how good it feels to help others.
Awesome , just fixed my pressure washer in 10 min. Thanks
Your video is great..I am a women and I can do the carburetor cleaning with your instructions
well done sir keep the good work.....
thank you.
Had to do this recently...some mechanical aptitude but this helped a lot! Well played sir!!
thanks so much for this video :) Next time my mower breaks (hopefully it won't) i'll be able to do fix it myself!
Thank you , this helped my mower
Thanks. You just saved me $75 I was going to have to spend on a tune up.
Thanks got mine going because of this video, I happen to have the same mower.
excellent instructions, thank you.
Simply excellent!
DUDE!!! You just saved me a $70 bench fee. This cured my problem instantly.
THANK YOU, thank you, thank you!
Sorry there are so many whiny ungrateful douchebags in the comment section. You just put money in my pocket.
Thanks so much. i know now that i need to clean the main jet too. i have the same engine as you. Just be careful because that carb cleaner will eat up the plastic float inside of the bowl.
Thank you! going to do this soon!
Thank you Mark!
Thanks your advice helped....thank you....
THANKS. You saved me at least $50 - $75
Mine wasn't nearly this bad and this still fixed it - thanks!
Excellent! Thanks.
Thanks very much, works great now
Wow! After replacing everything else and still having my mower die - your video did the trick! Now the thing starts up on the first pull!
Also - it was easier for me to just leave the gas tank and not have to worry about breaking/replacing the clamp. I just let the gas drain out through the bottom of the carborator and took it from there.
Thanks so very much!!!
I just bought a Cheap Siphon Pump (Pennzoil) from ‘Home Depot for around $12.00. It really works well for removing Gas and Oil from your Lawnmower. I used mine to remove both from my DR Premier Trimmer...
Thanks your info did help me my mower ran last summer will not start I have changed all fluids and the pulg
There were a couple more 'jets', ports, whatever you call them.
The primer bulb air duct(?) to the main jet was clogged, too.
(used a twist tie wire for that)
Fast and easy, once I watched this.
Started right up.
It originally only started by dumping a capful of gas in the carb.
It was offered Free, a 'trashed' mower. Again, Thanks!
Thank you, this worked!!!
Thanks, your the man.
Thank you!
Great video.
Amazing and simple
THIS helped me sooo much, THANK YOU!
Could you make some on weed eater repair? I have an Echo. I had to change the bulb on it and used a universal one, now it over fills it when I add fuel, so it floods. I am going to order a new ECHO one to see if that is the only issue.
Any hoot!, this is a perfect video! close ups, all questions answered and fully understandable.
Thank you, sir.
Thanks, Mark, for sharing your expertise and making what might sound mechanically complicated, pretty easy to do once you see the steps performed "in living color."
Although you do this as an educational service, I'm sure many would be more than happy to send a few bucks your way if you had a PayPal button/website listed somewhere...
BTW,I thought a warning should have been more prominent at the beginning when disconnecting fuel line from the tank to prevent newbies from leaking gas everywhere.
Thanks, very good.
Good video, seems tthe mechanic guy is very profesional.
I took the cup off and cleaned as you said, and trashed the old gas, out a new ring on and put it back together and bought new gas, and off it went!
thanks!
Nice video!
Thanks it helped me!!
Thanks Mark! This totally solved my issue with the mower not idling. (caused by me of course neglecting the mower at the end of the season). I will be sure to check out all of your other videos!
THANK YOU!
Good, clear video on how to clean and/or change the bowl and gasket not the actual carburetor. Please specify on your title. Thx
good vid thanks buddy
Good info. Thanks for the for.
Thanks!
Thank you
Thanks man
dont forget the side holes when cleaning the jet , and also take and airpick and blow the sucker out, with air but spray first with some carb cleaner after you clean all the jet holes.that click does not alway mean the gasket is sealing against the pin,and yes the bolw oring gaskets do rot or dry out ,primer bulbs also stiffen up and no longer work also can crack and leak so check the primer bulb as well, when clenaing the carb make sure its also ok ,
Thank you, I was able to fix my lawn mower!
Unfortunately not all mowers are this easy lol
I broke the bolt that holds on the bowl the one you cleaned at the begining i need to get one so what is its name and where can i pick one up at
yeah i need a video on the classic briggs stratton engine
Thanks pal
Thanks. I wish they made it all simpler. I dont' have most of these tools or understand most of what is said. I just bought a new one to replace my mower and on second time using it it hsa broken again. Have spent an hour already trying to get it working, oil change etc. There is no way I can do most of these things. They are too complex for me but thanks for the vidoeo.
You need self-confidence, too. :)
Hello, you can use this cleaning kit: amzn.to/2MArlGO
It's really easy trust me just try again
