Yes, but like 90% of playerbase are WoT players farming Gold for WoT because these games share gold and premium account.
@@Scytian1 People need to play the game to get gold. The point or one of the points of this video was to show the lack of a real player base. So no, what you suggested isnt happening.

this game is still fun to play every so often. Playing against all bots is where it is most fun.
Ok, so a couple of things about this game (if you are interested, idk)
-Don't turn fight against light fighters in heavy
-when numbers next to the enemy glows red it means that he is in range of your guns (they also have "effective range" where they deal max dmg, see those green bars on the right in hangar)
-you can fire your guns independently (like only MG's when your cannons are overheated) but you must bind buttons in settings
-press "F" to zoom
-bind "pitch up" to spacebar so you don't have to swipe your mouse across whole desk during turns
-ramming mechanics are bullshit
-battles can be one-sided due low player count
-you can earn premium time, free exp and gold in weekly crates (exp and gold shared in tanks, premium in all three games)
I might only play it once ever month or two, but it's fun.
This game was a good near no-brainer plane game that was an alternative for the nasty UI and grind in WarThunder or the need for a joystick in other flight games.
It is a fun game to play if you like fast-paced and chaotic battles. Sadly, there are no true PvE modes, so you get stuck against players thst fly the same planes over and over and have found every sweaty tactic.
Two biggest problems are the bomber meta where one good bomber pilot decides the match no matter how good/coordinated the other team is.
Second problem which WG can't necessarily fix is the elitist mentality with many of the regular players. They want little to no changes unless it benefits their style of play. Complain about it in the forums and you will get savaged and then hunted down in-game. Rather toxic...
I do love Warplanes, but it needs some serious work, primarily in gsme modes as well as in damage mechanics. WG have done better with bug fixes lately.

Im still SHOCKED Wargaming hasn't just SHUT DOWN this game. Their is like what.... 100-200 people playing at any one time? They can not possibly be making money anymore, if they where id be SHOCKED! I literally didn't start encountering REAL people till I got to tier 4 or 5 and EVERY TIME it was in a plane with Cannons that absolutely SHRED my poor American Plane. (at least 1 person was real.)
And it is pretty much impossible to tell if anyone is Human ether less they have a very "obvious" name.
Learning how to fly your plane and awareness are what keep you alive in the game. Like every game you got to be aware of your planes strengths and weaknesses. You can shred anyone and anyone can shred you. You gotta play the game for a while to get a true feel for it but once you do, you can have some epic battles. I think to many judge the game with to little experience of playing it or giving it a real chance. For me, it does not matter if they are human or not, i treat them all as if they are!

You can right click their name and if the reporting option is available, then it is a human player.
I was an alpha tester for wowp and used to play the shit out of it. I preferred the old gameplay format over the new base cap kinda deal of today.
Yeah, I was there too. The original was a lot of fun, I haven't been back since they went live and it just wasn't what I was looking for in a Flight Game.

The best MMO was a game called Fighter Ace. Nothing has come close to that ever since. and that game was ended 20 years ago. You needed a joystick.
My favorite flight sim back in the day was Iron Aces for the Dreamcast. I miss it
I like the old various of this game. played it alot when it came out.
Next time you try this sea lord, you need to look at your plane type and the maps. You cant just kill the other team and win. Its possible, but most games end before its possible. You must turn systems to win on points, if it goes long enough a squall line comes and stops respawns.

I still play it. Every couple of months I go back, usually when they have a new plane event. I just wish they would add a new map once in a while or bring some old ones back. It's basically on life support though. Being propped up by the other 2. I'm noticing a similar trend in wows lately with player populations though. it has a way to go but warning signs are there in lower tiers.

Great flight model and fun to play.
Have played this game on and off for yrs and honestly it can be a bucketload of fun.Yea the numbers are down but you do get games with half the team being human and believe me you wish they were bots lol For me it is the best of the 3. I played tanks and warships but planes are my thing. Sealord you played your heavy fighter like a fighter, it has a specific role it is intended for and that is taking out bombers and ground attackers. Abd yes it is only a skin over a frame like other planes, it says heavy but it dosnt have armour unless you add it in an upgrade slot. I am the older generation so dont have expectations like all the kiddies. For me the game flows and plays very nicely. The bots can be quite tricky too, which is fun. The middling tiers i like 5-7 but i also enjoy the top tiers with the crazy speeds they do. The twisting, turning, trying to out manouvre the other human in the same plane as you is great fun. I dont understand all the hate the game gets, just because it isnt as shiney as all the others. I find the game far more playable than tanks or warships, you are in the sky, unable to hide, azz hanging out lol Heroes are born in this game lmao
Can you dodge the bullets thrown at you like how they do in star wars? If so then that might be fun
Of course you can dodge. Just depends on your ability to make the plane do what you want. You can do some great manouvers when you get used to the controls. I have had tons of fun in the game. Two of my fav planes are the American P40 and the German Bf109 both tier 5. For me the game is very under rated.

If you want to buy it with gold that costs cash, then yes you can use it but everyone uses universal ammo. Very few use gold ammo!!

Warplanes actually looks quite decent and fun to play now compared to how it used to be , I think I may just reinstall it and give it another chance .....
Learning curve is much easier than tanks and ships, you get to respawn.
Fun at lower tiers but be wary of real players in heavy fighters from tier 4 or 5 on up. Still imbalanced as all get out and quite frankly ruinous, potentially more so than any other class in any title they offer and I play or have played them all PC and console.
@@PhilipKerry for sure. You occasionally get goons that fly to spawn and just kill the few players as they spawn. Just remember that killing other planes is only important when it suits an objective. Learn the zone turning and scoring mechanics as quickly as possible.

i play this game almost as much as i play wows
Biggest reason the game takes flak is be a v2.0 took most of the fun out of seal clubbing. Respawns can hunt down the goons that punked them off with now full health. There were alot of try hards going in flights of 4 and steamrolling the old school death match. The hard core competitive payout is gone. These games attract a highly competitive type of player that does not have fun when losing to "inferior" players because the respawned 3 times and finally got a kill.
If you want to play World of Warplanes just take a CV in World of Warships

I normaly dont say these kind of things sea lord, butt have you tried being better at the game, or using a plane that suits your playstle i recomend for you the spitfire line or the two japanese light lines.
Also i took a look at the stats of a fully upgraded mosquito and mosquito 26 and they are almost the same, well not really, the mosquito 26 is a little bit worse.
Also the way you play heavy fighters its no the rigth one, you need to maintain momentum search the planes that you can take down or mangle severely, and one thing to note is that the mustang line is almost a direct counter to heavy planes.
I understand that this is a game you only play once a year, and understanding the mecanics/getting the hand of something in a long time can be hard, yet i still think you can apreciate this game for its strong points and not just trow an uniformed critique.
Try the premium ammo belts ?
That would explain why everyone kills you in 2 or 3 seconds.
@@jaywerner8415 No m8 that is not the reason. It depends on distance mainly. Up close and you WILL smash what you shoot at. Your plane only has a skin over a frame, why do people expect to survive for any length of time? Fighters, heavy fighters and multirole fighters cannot take a beating, get smashed quickly if you dont have your head screwed on, glass cannons basically. The bombers and ground attackers last longer because you can add armour and things for defence in upgrade slots but mainly because they have bigger health pools. Learning to fly and awareness keep you alive in the game, whatever gets shot at you. No one i have come across in the game uses gold ammo, everyone uses Universal ammo.
Premium ammo doesn't actually do more damage. It's just type specific for planes and gun types. Incen lights fires, explosive for ground targets etc.

In WoWS some players are even worse than bots! You can be AFK and still win 45% of your matches, so the guys that are below that actually are doing things consistently that bring about a loss.

Hate planes, why I like CV'S, my AA gets some work. If I do do flight rather more sim over arcade.
So, this prompted me to see what this game has become. It's just as I remember plus a kick in the pants from WG. What few players there are terrorize anyone with heavy fighters that are way imbalanced making grinding anything and game enjoyment nigh on impossible. No new substantive content beyond some premiums in years that I can see. And just to give that extra something special. I was a BETA tester and it appears my account has been reset to a regular player account with all post release progress and goodies from the BETA lost. Most likely when they did the game overhaul a few years back. Still has potential but as usual with any WG title, balance and MM ruin it which is stupid. They already have had to start using bots as fillers in all three titles, get rid of the +2 -2 and that will in part remedy some of the fun issues the games have.
Is the Russian bias as apparent in this as it is in WT or WOWs?

I mean this game got bust but when people say just play war thunder 😅😅😅 that game is absolutely trash. The controls are so shit and the model is so awful. Basically you don't play war thunder, the snail utterly takes the piss out of you. I guess a lot of dumb folks like being abused.

People are still playing that unbalanced trash? I made it to T7 and every game was normally me and some rando against a flight. I finally checked out when they put in the slot machine for things and Sonic told me in the forums if I didn't like it go play something else. Great PR from the CM. So I did and War Thunder got a new customer. I much more prefer War Thunder air over WoWp. Now if only someone would make a WWI air game like Rise of Flight, but more M&K friendly and closer to how WT has it.

WT takes too damn long for the grind, but as much as I hate to admit it Wargaming rigs matches like crazy. It’s annoying af. WT is fun in short bursts.
World of Tanks has its niche, but if youre wanting to play world of warplanes just play war thunder lmao
