  • How to do a press up handstand. Training tips and exercises.
    WOULDN'T IT BE AWESOME TO BE ABLE TO FLOAT UP INTO A HANDSTAND?
    You don't have to have to have a solid handstand to start working on your press-up handstand! The drills and training exercises covered in this tutorial are for everyone! Those of you with an amazing handstand and ready to level up to that seemingly mythical press up this is for you! These are also great core exercises for those of you just looking to get stronger but not ready for the full handstand part.
    I love all things handbalancing because you can work on them anywhere and anytime! No equipment needed!
    Click this link for the sliders used in this video: amzn.to/2YryL4V
    For more upcoming tutorials and training go to: www.elizabethbfit.com
    Start working on that press up handstand (you don't have to wait until you have a solid handstand!) and please tag me in your endeavors with @elizabeth_bfit and #elizabethbfit. If you are having trouble with the move please post your videos and ask your questions and I will give pointers and tips as needed.

    This is a fantastic tutorial for training presses. A lot of videos I have seen don't give as much credit to the amount of work that goes into training the compression. The compression and training your wrists and shoulders for going over and taking the weight, in my opinion is definitely the most difficult. Thank you for such a great video!!!

    Really professional and insightful. I feel like I missed my window - I'm 50. I've got decent handstands on grips, but now I need a mat that's that much higher. I play with some of this - obviously it's a progression. I'll go play with some of it = I"d love to just do a full tuck press to handstand. At any rate, if I incorporate some regular yoga and this and take it easy - I won't hurt myself, I'll have fun, and be stronger, more flexible, and injury free than I would without. 'Course it would be amazing to get there!

    Hello this is very useful and detailed video. Thank you. A question if I may, I’m finding it quite difficult to get a stack and my hips don’t want to go up high enough without planching. Would you suggest just keep using a box? Many thanks.

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  4 місяці тому

      A little blanche is normal and we all have variations in our strength and flexibility. I'd recommend training both with and without a box. That way you can continue to train increased compression (getting the hips higher without blanche). Plus, you'll most likely be able to get more reps in if you do some with the box as well.

    During one of my handstand practice, I fell backward and bumped my head. I'm trying to get over my fear to resume my practice, hope i'm not too old for it.. i'm 47

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  Рік тому +1

      Oh no! So sorry to hear that. No, you are definitely NOT too old. Always work within your safe zone while working on handstands and I always recommend lots of wall drills to help build strength and confidence in handstands. If you haven't already, I'd recommend checking out my online Flexibility program that also includes hand balancing progressions and drills to build for any level and ability. Absolutely! I had zero handstand capabilities let alone the ability to press into a handstand a decade ago. With consistent practice you will get there!

    There are some good tips to be had here, however, this video is way too long. I mean, way too long.
    There is too much time eating blah blah that gets me antsy waiting for you to get to the point. I have to fast forward a lot.
    I'm sure you can put out some good videos that are under 3 or 4 minutes.
