I had one in 1989 in England and since that died I have never seen another for sale in any shops or online anywhere. I've even looked on the shops wholesale lists and nothing comes up, I don't know why...If anybody in the UK knows of any for sale, please let me know!
I have the same exact fish in my 40 gallon community tank. He’s about a foot and a half. He’s a absolute unit and he’s octal so he only comes out at night.
I got them for 14 bucks USD but I love him. He does look like a dinosaur, but he’s great with other fish at least mine is nobody bothers him. He doesn’t bother no one.
Woah…that is a crazy looking pleco. I have never seen one before.❤ How cool!

They are venomous they do have armor, and if you take them out of the water, they can hibernate for over four months Of the tank

Don't know why it was included but in Latin scrophus means scrotum.
Bad looking fish , really beat up and skinny both of them , a healthy full grown one is so beautiful
Great info tho
That’s due to the mosquito fish in the ponds. They always nip at the other fishes fins, fins do grow back rather quickly though!
Thank you for watching
