I was stationed at Yokota Air Base when I was in the Navy. There was a restaurant just off base. No clue the actual name, we just called it The Red Dragon. It's been 15 years, I still miss that restaurant.

Yeah, Norm definitely seems to have renewed his energy. (I wouldn't say it's been a *rough* day, but it cheered me up anyway, (thanks, Norm. :) )
(Really the early dark of winter came on kinda suddenly to me this year cause it stayed hot so long I didn't feel prepared. But all this extra sack time trying to figure out what it did to my sleep cycle gave my arthritis a break and when I saw Norm running like that I was like, 'Yes, that's kinda what I've been wanting to do, my knees haven't felt this good in years!' (I'll have to be careful of course, but even a quick little sprint would feel good. Inspiring, in other words. :) )

Going by UA-cam's date on this one, i would've been watching it on my first or second day being back in Japan [after 3 years] on my family's Christmas/New Year's trip. We brought my dad, who enjoyed his first visit immensely. Being away definitely gives you fresh eyes for all the things you've always enjoyed and missed.
aww the little dog hopping in that bag was so cute. And I love all the plants in some of those back/side streets.

No lie, when I was in Japan I was always drawn to the little hidden backstreets like a magnet ! Japan is full of so many pleasant surprises!
I’m enjoying these vlogs even more now that my application to a language school in japan has been accepted. 🤞🏻 that I can get my visa and spend at least a year in Japan soon. I am so excited, I’ve waited to long and saved up quite a bit and now I finally feel ready to jump. 😄 thank you for al the information and tips you’ve given me 💕

Love the random vending machines in your various hidden backstreets as well so obviously there not so non used but still fun to see the path less traveled

Walked around with very similar levels of happiness and excitement today myself, just replace Tokyo with wintery german countryside - the camera gear with a dog - and subtract beard and fitness level. ^^

I still think that's one of the most stunning aspects of Japan. You can be one street away from one of the busiest streets in one of the busiest cities in the entire world and there's just no one there. People so often complain about how crowded the big cities in Japan are, and they're right, but only if you're not willing to just step outside of those "Top 5 Things To Do In Tokyo" guide books.

Watching your videos is very inspiring. I’ve always wanted to do something creative like shooting videos. Every video is unique in its own way. Very beautiful man. You’re videos make me want to buy a camera and get out there and explore. Even if I don’t know what I’m doing in the beginning. The learning is all part of the journey ✌🏽
