As a Japanese person, I can give you one piece of advice: it is rare for Japanese people to meet people from other countries, so you will not make friends unless you act on your own. So it is important to talk to Japanese people yourself first.

I am a Japanese student and I was very surprised by this video! Because it was a class only for kids from foreign countries. This is just my experience, but I've never seen a class like this. So you should keep in mind that not all Japanese schools are like this. So I think it's best to go to an international school. I lived abroad as a child and attended a Japanese school there. I was very happy to go there. Because I made friends who lives abroad but speaks the same language as me. It was a great relief for me to make friends who spoke the same language. So when I think of your son, I think he will enjoy life in Japan more if he goes to an international school rather than attending a local Japanese school!

I completed my education in Italy and it seems very different. First of all, we have 5 or 6-hour lessons with 5-minute intervals between each lesson. I attended what is called a classical lyceum. The subjects we study at this type of school are both humanities (Italian literature, English literature, Latin, ancient Greek, History and Philosophy) and scientific ( Maths, Physics Chemistry and Biology ).
During each day of lessons, including Saturdays, we study a miscellany of subjects. Obviously, we follow a calendar so we know which books to bring from home. A typical day might consist of: first hour = Italian. Second hour= Latin. third hour = history. Fourth hour = Mathematics. Fifth hour = English (some study German or French as a foreign language especially if they live near the border with Austria or France. In my city Trieste, there is also the option of Slovenian). Between the second and third hour we take a 15-minute break to eat what we brought from home even though most high schools have a paid bar. There are two additional subjects from which one can, however, be exempted: Teaching of the Catholic religion for example if one belongs to a different religion and Gymnastics practised in the gym for health reasons. High school lasts 5 years at the end of which each student must face a series of written exams and an oral exam that covers all the subjects studied (the Maturity Exam). It should be noted that each professor gives students a considerable amount of homework which normally requires 5 to 6 hours of home study. Students are periodically questioned by each professor and a written exam is taken 3 times a month for Italian, Mathematics, Greek and Latin. The other subjects require oral exams only. Students DO NOT clean classrooms and do not wear uniforms. Cleaning is entrusted to the janitors.

@@marclast9564 It's not too much, Italian school system is really solid and one of the most powerful. Usually is 5 hours per day if you have saturday, or 6 if you don't have saturday. Btw after the 5 hours (the end of the lessons are at 13:00 (1 PM) or 14:00 (2 PM) ) you can go home and eat with your family, then you do homeworks and do your hobbies/hang out with friends or whatever you like. Usually there are a lot of interrogation (if we wants to call them exams? idk they aren't really exams, maybe tests?) throughout the years. Th years is split in quatrimesters (4 months) and at the end of it you have the test that will give you the final mark of that 4 months, in the second quatrimestre (after 8 months) you get your final mark for that year. So usually the professors makes tests or just call you to test what you know and give you a lot of marks, from bad ones to good ones and they can give you a more accurately mark for the end of the year.
The thing is that the system in Italy it's not only about making geniuses (like india or china, where they fail and over billions of ppl only tens of them can go out and do something good) but they try to educate you for the best, educate you to study well and not just overstudy to get good grades, and they educate you as a person in the society.
Last thing: you can check out for youself how many Italian there are out there doing godlike research and how many italians are at the head of research groups, European companies and how many Italians inventions or discovery were made. Unlucky for Italy they often go to work outside of it because we have good education and bad jobs opportunity :/

@@marclast9564 hehehe, i am in france but it's kinda similar, just as an exemple the worst day for me is : thursday, I begin at 8:10 am, then a 2 hour class awaits us (french), then a 15 min break, 1 more hours in a different class (english), then we move to an other one and we do 1 more hour of euro english... 30 min break to ea (it's 12 :10 am), then 1 hour of german, after that 2 hours of sport and FINALLY 2 hours of french (again)... And you are dead, it's 5:30 pm and you have to take the train to go home (in france it's commun for it to be late : from 15 min to 1 hour...) Then if the train is on time (miracle) you are home at 8:30 pm and you just have the ton of homework from the day to do (I'd say to be a good student you have to work between 5-8 hours the evening and the week-end to do revision and your homeworks... (in math, one test evry two/three weeks and in french one test every 3 weeks too) So good luck to have a social life with that... It's very mentally and physically tiring.

    Thanks for this vlog brother
    School is same everywhere
    But the diffrence i felt
    In our school
No laptops,no mobiles, no digital education
But about floor cleaning i agree that's really nice
Students in India must be taught from childhood in school to clean their respective classes.

This is so much different than the US. the biggest differences is everyone looks happy this is a stark contrast from my school which a 2nd year/sophomore committed suicide on campus recently and its not even the first time someone has since I've been at my school.

For this individual have no idea I never met them but in general people are just really sad. My thoughts are that most people around this age learn a lot about controlling behavior from their parents so people used controlling behavior on this individual causing them to rather kill themself than interact with controlling people.

Back in 2004, I visited Japan and as a sixteen-year-old I had a chance to see what are high schools there like. Your video reminded me of that. I remember the kids used to ask me swear words in my native language haha Also, I was very surprised to hear the classical music , instead of a typical bell sound.

There are many differences Japanese schools and American schools for example the hygiene and how clean it is, it amazes me. Although that might be because I attend a public school in California and there is no such things as indoor hallways haha. But one of the things in this video I noticed that it’s not really different from American schools(well maybe just my school, I haven’t heard anything very bad so far, my school is pretty calm) is because of its students. They’re just like all of us. Teens being teens.

    • @NEET-ec3xr
      @NEET-ec3xr 10 місяців тому

@@WinniePooh33 you do have clubs there but I am talking about here in India.
Competition is really high here and reservation also makes more difficult .
(In India there is caste based system called reservation for admision process for every further education after high school ex - I recently score 521 marks out of 720 in NEET for bachelors of medicine and bachelors of surgery (MBBS), and my friend who belong to reserved caste got 320 marks ,so I didn't get admision in MBBS but he got )
Well India is only country to have reservation system .
I can do nothing about that all I can do is to score highest cause you need to be in top students in country to achieve further education being in average is same as failed student.
That's what teacher told me in my high school when I asked her why don't we have clubs and other extra activities .she said your whole life is remaining for that but this is the time where you need to just study and study .
Sorry for such long chat 😞 .

Seems like Japanese Schools have given the students much liberty to use gadgets, although they collect their smartphones. Their uniforms seemed to be crushed and little fashioned. Each of these is actually an indisciplinary action if made by the students in schools of India. The students are strictly not allowed to bring any electric gadgets in most of the public and private schools. Proper dressing should be made by the students alongwith proper haircut and hygienity, ofcourse. However, the positive side is that there aren't as many students in a classroom as compared to an Indian Classroom.
