Good thing that they have kept the same Theme song, because that's one of the best part of X Men animated series.
Disney use it already as the X-Men motif in the MCU, there was no chance they wouldn't use it for the series
Right up there with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 😎
I know it's not the same or as iconic, but you should check out the Japanese version of the intro and theme. It's pretty cool.
I see you everywhere
Yeah! Also water is wet!!
If the first episode doesn't start with "Previously, on X-Men" you dropped the ball.

The voice actor for Cyclops passed away, so its amazing how the replacement sounds exactly like him
Too bad the same can't be said for the voice actor of Wolverine.

@@speedywe all know the fans watched the eastern time channel that was also available anyway ;)
That Gambit-Wolverine combo is just so frigging badass!!
No it’s not it makes no sense
it does gambits power isnt to explode things his power is to manipulate create and destroy kinetic energy.
the reason his cards explode is because he pumps them full of kinetic energy then when they reach the target he makes the particles vibrate causing an explosion.
a variant of gambit had mastered his power so much that he could make his own body phase through objects and since this gambit is a relatively experienced its not far fetched to say he has the ability to dampen his power or control it to only affect his claws or to not create an explosion maybe to pass on kinetic energy into anything wolverine touches then explode them.@@toastwriter617
@@toastwriter617Why? Gambit can't make adamantium actually explode so I'd just add power to the claws?
@@toastwriter617It does in this show gambit and wolverine have a great relationship
@@emberdelainframundoWell technically he's never tried. Adamantium isn't indestructible. Everything most likely has a kinetic limit, he just doesn't have to charge it enough to hit it though.
Gambit hopping a ride charging Wolverine’s blade is insane 🔥

Freaking exploding kinetic claws? Is that what we've got? Freaking exploding kinetic claws? Team hyper moves?
Sickkkk
just came back from finishing the first season to say that it was EPIC. I can't believe that Marvel managed to cook a perfect follow up to one of their most successful shows of all time after nearly 3 decades. It may have taken way too long, but they did an amazing job!!!
That's exactly how I felt, I loved the nostalgia, from the intro to characters to the 90's cars, fashion, and music. When Logan said that grief is a lonely war, Rogue's going to have to figure it out on her own and Nightcrawler said love is best measured by what we can forgive really hit me.
Disney picked up where the original left off and respectfully made it it's own thing.
When Nathan came back as a grizzled, angry soldier, it gave me Terminator Sarah Connor vibes.
When Genosha was destroyed in 4,621 seconds that was 77 minutes. I found that personally interesting.
Can still remember the smell of opening a pack of X-Men cards in the 90s.
Still got 'em! 🤘
I remember flipping through the binder, seeing the one page where all the cards connect into one big picture.
@@MacUser2-il2cx Such great moments.
@@ArchaicDesigns I still have mine as well. My favorites were always Marvel Metal.
i have them too back then,,,, but i its missing now :(
Fun Fact, the person who wrote this Theme Song also did the Theme and first few seasons of music to the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers! Ron Wasserman
Really? Ron Wasserman?!! *Sidebar: I don't like the animation here. It seems "too cartooney" if that makes sense.
That actually was a fun fact!
@@kochayeo like AI enhanced right? I noticed too.
About Ron, the man is a legend he knows what does make a song compelling and great. Reminds me of Mick Gordon.
Fun fact, it is actually a sample from another song.
i always knew the tracks were quite similar! like they had the same flair i thought it was because they were shows from the 90s but now this makes a lot of sense
You can't deny that X-Men had and will always have the best intro music ever to a kids cartoon.
Spider-Man TAS is really close
Batman: The Animated Series and Teen Titans are better IMO but X-Men is definitely iconic.
All of them are good Spider-Man, Batman the animated series, teen titans, and X-Men
Yea the X-Men n spiderman themes were pretty dope. Inspector gadget n ninja turtles were great 80s themes
For 90's shows, it absolutely did. That one and Batman Animated Series were the best of the best in my book.
So now that it's over, it's safe to say that X-Men 97 is the best Marvel show hands down. Wish they would bring this level of writing to the mcu.
Finger crossed they don't screw it up like the phase 4 projects
Im 41 and still a fan since 10.......31 years!!!.........are there still more like me out there?

Was lit.
“is spider-man a mutant?”on the daily bugle newspaper…all our 90s heroes coming back soon 🥰
In my understanding, Spider-Man is a Mutate (Not by birth), Mutants are by birth. But yeah, it would definitely be cool to have them on the same show! :)
I noticed they missed the hyphen at 0:32.
@@LyderProArcade At the same time, they already had crossovers in the 90s. I hope to see a sequel to Spider-Man as there was an open ending.
Spider-Man is technically a mutate.
Technically Spider-Man is a mutant but not from birth. That’s why it’d make sense to see Spider-Man working with the X-Men(especially with that time Rogue was flirting with Peter 😉)
The fact that Most of these clips were in JUST the first 2 episodes has me PUMPED about what's next.
We appreciate that the x men of '97 return to conclude the story that we all appreciate. We support this initiative, it would be great if they made a continuation of Spider-Man, the animated series was left unfinished, thanks for your heartfelt effort. ❤
The Daily Bugle Article (at 0:32) says “Hellfire Gala: Text by Eddie Brock and Photos by Peter Parker” so this means that 90’s Spider-Man and Venom eventually DID return to Earth.
Spider-Man Unlimited isn’t in the same universe. Canon seems super off.
@fade680 Yes, but Venom and Carnage were sent to who knows where during the Dormammu episodes. And at the end of the series, Spider-Man and Madame Web took off into presumably the multiverse to find MJ. I'm sure the original commentor was talking about Unlimited, but what he said is still true, from a certain point of view.
it says eddie block
It also says "Is Spider-Man a Mutant" technically yes and no he is a Mutate the difference being his powers are artificially given rather than being a result of natural evolution.
@@fade680 he’s referring to Venom being stuck in Dormamu’s realm and Peter going off into the multiverse. Everyone knows Unlimited isn’t in the same continuity as TAS.
Batman the animated series, spiderman animated series, and x-men were my favourite cartoons. We all had the action figures back in those days. You really had to be there to understand how big that time was.
All my faves too amazing time for animation and story then !
Yup. Loved them all too. Had a few Batman figures.
Dragonball Z too, what a time to be young.
I wasn’t a 90s kid (born 97) but I was old enough to not be too far from all of it. That was peak marvel/dc animation imo.
Batman/batman beyond/ justice league/spiderman/X Men were all I watched. I think Burger King had a justice league collab for their kids meals lol but either way I had a bunch of action figures (mostly Spiderman) it was great.
Even now as an adult I can still appreciate and enjoy those shows, I don’t think it’s “only for kids” especially the Batman series that one encapsulates the dark world that is Batman’s universe perfectly
Marvel Animated Universe and DC Animated Universe way before MCU or DCEU
Cyclops finally looking and feeling like the real cyclops that we know and love. I'm crying at how blessed I feel...😭😭😭

So that means Wolverine's claws... explode?
@@DivingDog0 I did think that at first, but adamantium is supposed to be indestructible. I guess we'll see when that scene happens.
Pretty sure that was a combo skill in Ultimate Alliance 2
Now I just need a reboot of the 90s Spider-Man and my life will be complete
I don't think we need that. The Spectacular Spiderman needs to continue, though.

I hoping for spiderman '98 series since they never concluded the show it ended on a cliffhanger with madame webb and spidey looking fo MJ, there was spider-man unlimited that came after but don't think it was canon to TAS
First five episodes have been great but heartbreaking. This is amazing. I'm ready for episode six to drop.
Deng! That intro soundtrack brings me back home in my childhood in the Philippines. 😭
Cyclops: To me, my X-Men.
Magneto: Hold my mansion.

Cyclops was always supposed to lead the xmen after charles. glad they remember
Yep the movies had Cyclops as a background guy. When I think X-men I think of him.
@@RonJP-pm7jp Same here im glad cyclops is getting his recognition. Kinda of getting tired wolverine taking up the spotlight so its a nice break.
The first X-men movie came out in 2000 with Toby Mcguire's Spiderman coming out in 2002. With Spiderman it worked pretty well because he is his own franchise. The same was said when they were making Ironman in 2008 as they weren't sure if that was going to go anywhere (let alone be the origins of an entire "cinematic universe"). So can't be too surprised that twenty four years ago that Fox decided to focus so much on one character when testing out another comic book movie.
FFS, you know what else happened in 1997? Bat Nipples! Batman and Robin, one of the worse superhero movies ever. So (again) can't be surprised Fox for being cautious and focusing only one member of the X-Men franchise in order for their movie to be successful. And it turned out to be a great movie that did a good job of bringing mutants to the big screen. Never would have had Deadpool without it so props.
Meanwhile Netflix was also dipping its feet into the comic books and came out with hits like Daredevil and Punisher. But since Netflix is a streaming service creating series (not movies) they weren't limited to two hours of screen time they could take their time and give each of those characters their due. I think X-men 97 would've done very well transitioning to a Netflix series with twenty episodes per season.
It's easy to look back two decades later and pick out what went wrong and why but look. They're rebooting the 1997 show but they aren't bringing it into the MCU - they're bringing it to Marvel Animation a TV/streaming series. Each character will get their due, which is something that is not always a guarantee when it comes to feature films.
@@merikano2985 ok I see your point but after the first X-Men movie Cyclops role diminished more and more. Also the first movie was primarily centered around Rogue not Wolverine. They could’ve easily flushed out the other characters instead of leaning more and more into Wolverine especially when wolverine(in comics and cartoon) was a popular character but wasn’t the focal point he’s was the wild card. I just think you could’ve done more with the entire X-Men franchise if it was properly center. This is not hindsight 20/20 me and others said it back then.

I like how Gambit heated up Wolverines claws. Good to see them working together
The show is good!
90s Rogue just reopened a special place in my heart
Ayo🌭
Only your heart 😏

Love that cyclops is the leader still and didn’t sideline him like Fox did
But it makes no sense wolverine and even storm are way bigger in popularity
Yeah, I could tell it's a different voice actor from the original, but pretty close. So glad they are using the same Wolverine voice actor though. He always had my fav voice of his!
@@khesipresents1885 ??? So? Wolverine in most mediums admits himself he isnt fit to be a leader. Storm i can see but cyclops is the most bread and butter of the xmen. Id rather have him as the poster boy
Yeah because fox sidelined Cyclops@@khesipresents1885
@@khesipresents1885 That doesn't matter, what matters is the fact that Disney actually read the comics!
To me, my X men goes so hard as a line.
This Show was an Absolute Masterpiece!!! 10/10 One Of The Best Things Marvel Has Ever Done!!! TO ME, MY X-MEN!!!!!!
Oh man so many good memories. I'm 43 years old, had to explain to my 12 year old son that this was my Saturday morning growing up
I managed to get the OG series on Bluray and watching it with my nephew
43yo as well here, started reading comic books in 91' when X-Men got a re-booth with Jim Lee and I think Claremont was the writer, what great great times. There were also the trading cards, and the first fighting game, super-awesome!
Signed in just to thumbs up this comment. Same age and this is one of my memories as well growing up.
I forgot how much actual respect this series put on Cyclops’s name 👍🏾
This series made me love Cyclops and every thing else takes a dump on him.
Too bad he is a joke and not worthy as the leader
@@ThaSupaHeroReD clearly you are wrong.
@@ThaSupaHeroReDThe lies you tell!
That boy scout who married Jean who faints alot
I'm so excited for this that i made a display of both X Men '97 posters and several lego minifigures and am planning on getting the action figures for the display :D
This brings back memories. In our country it was aired Saturday or Sunday mornings. Then come Monday in school my classmates and I would talk about the episode.
I love how they kept the 90's look, just higher definition and a bit cleaner animation. SO hyped for this! thoughts on AMZPKK? that is everywhere wtf
ion like it
Kinda wished they made it more modern but it's ok
eh, the animation looks just as bad as the last season of the show when they charged studios I think?
@@landoblu Ion care
This animation is not clean, it looks like an amateur YT series the mouth flapping looks so stiff. did they make this on java?
That intro song has never, even after all these years, failed to give me goosebumps.
lol
thanks for sharing that
Same here. My most favourite animated show.
Agreed. Such good memories!
Metaphorically?
