I think my favorite detail of this episode is when Bishop walks in on Forge and calls him "Daniel." Thank you so much for giving Pete Seeger his due! He was an Xavier in his own right, speaking around the worldfor peace and working together. his whole life.
I think that in Bishop’s timeline, Storm, Wolverine, and Morph might have been trapped, similar to the 1992 X-Men Animated series episode "Days of Future Past." In that episode, a variant of Wolverine’s adamantium skeleton is displayed in Forge's Lab. I believe that the old variant Forge in Bishop’s timeline would bond the metal to our salvaging Wolverine, which is how I think Wolverine would get his adamantium back!
I believe they time traveled because Bastion absorbs Cable's mechanical arm which has the time travel device in it. If you look at the first time Cable saw his mother and slipped back into time you can see the same "bubbles " on Asteriod M as it dissapears into time. Little fun detail. I was wondering why Cable wasn't a part of the team in the opening credits, because Nightcrawler got added immediately and Bishop, who was only in 3 episodes, also got his title sequence. But this episode explained it, he was upset because in the X-Men stories people tell in the future he is absent, even though he was a vital part of it, just like in the opening.
The fact that Jubilee, Cable and Sunspot are AWOL could lead to the beginning of the forming of X-Force and Generation X. I was so excited that they touched on the limited mini series The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix.
