Everyone talks about storms lightning and wind powers but no one talks about her secondary mutation, the ability to create costumes and manifest new hair cuts through sheer force of will.

Did that in the original cartoon she was wearing a v shape when she used her powers to make or put her white uniform on with the turtleneck on so we could see that it was not underneath her clothes that she had on before she needed to wear her uniform

She actually is. She can like all deities feed on the prayers and Faith of her believers and transform those beliefs into unlimited power. She was doing that while still a teenager when she settled where Xavier found her and recruited her. It's the one glaring time Xavier was wrong in saying she wasn't an actual goddess but just a mutant. They still can't fully understand her powers and Xavier said that way back in the late 70s. To date she's the only mutant that naturally, with no outside cosmic force to empower her, can be the equal of The Phoenix without the Phoenix Force. As the goddess, Rogue Storm, she had complete control OVER ALL ELEMENTAL FORCES and like Jean Phoenix she also heard the symphony of power and was about to end everything on Earth 616 only because she's a goddess of life did she tamp that power back down and save everyone from herself. That was a lot and still you got the short version, buddy. Nice talking, well typing, to you.

One thing that is almost never depicted in the Live Action X-Men media is how extremely busted Storm's powers are. Controlling Weather is basically a world ending ability. Glad the show is showing how strong she actually is.

The way the adversaries feathers melted away as storm appeared, makes it look like a new outfit is made out of the adversary pelt

Beau DeMayo confirmed on Twitter that Storm made the suit out of Adversary's feathers. You'll notice when she's in space the black feathers disappear as the crown appears.

The only reason Storm lost her powers to begin with is because of Forge's creating the laser rifle. He robbed her indirectly of her purpose in life. So Storm was just embracing returning to her Goddess self. This was her moment. In any case, Forge seemed to be coping for a few extra minutes.

This series has done her some proper justice. Storm doesn’t just wield the forces of nature… she is one.
The way she rocketed into space, and the satellite being drawn to such power capturing every phenomenon. The image of her arms open wide and her hair flying upwards with the star (sun) shining so bright indicates just how much of a STAR she is! I love it! Absolutely brilliant! Well done Disney!

A great comeback in this animated series! Self-belief, victory over inner demons, return of powers, long white hair, black classic suit, music. Storm is one of my favorite characters from the X-Men!

Perhaps its because you also have your weaknesses... your inner demons that you wish to control and surpass some day and this scene motivated you to think about your potential victory over your demons scenario and how it would feel. Now obviously you won't fly into orbit or something haha but the feeling would be very similar nonetheless.

When storm had her powers taken away I felt that, so I can understand it. Idk why but this new series has been pulling emotional strings all over the place. When they shot storm since then and after, the diversity issues the mutants face from bigots it’s just really crazy. Genosha being destroyed , gambit dying which is one of my top three favorite mutant etc it’s so good.
So glad Storm finally gets her justice! She and Magneto were always my favorite characters.
I wish the series was a full 22 episode season, or at least a 14 episode pilot. I wanted more of reformed Magneto. Seeing him do what Charles did like giving speeches, talking down new mutants, interacting with the team more.

I've always been a huge Storm fan since I was a little boy, in part because of how frightening I found her. I love being close to nature and the elements and I grew up hunting with my dad near Umeå, but the forest is also terrifying and sometimes openly hostile and so is Storm and that made me love her once I realized that what makes her so scary is what makes her so beautiful. I enjoy devastating and terribly powerful heroes who are also deeply good humans.

And Storm lived in New York but after that went back to Egypt but after her parents died she moved to Kenya and used her power and was worshiped as Weather Goddess and Queen to a Kenyan Tribe. But Ororo did live in Cario ,Egypt for her adolescence.

Everyone saw how powerful Storm has become, this Bio-Omega Level Woman and everything she can do is almost like a Goddess, also let's not forget that she is not like any mutant because she is a witch and her powers can increase, In addition, she can do many things, due to the ignorance of other people they limit the powers of this powerful Witch when in reality we know that she is very Powerful, in a rematch they were able to Storm vs Magneto and they put Magneto as the winner based on movies and other things when in the comics and other information Storm is the most powerful, she can very easily defeat Magneto.

Not to mention an expert martial artist and master of combat. Storm can do it all! 🔥🔥
Magneto vs Storm can go either way depending on who writes them honestly. Example some have written that Magneto can use his powers and react at the speed of thought(funny enough he did this when Storm attempted to murder him in his sleep) and is powerful enough to generate black holes.

But out there, in space, Magneto is powerful don't get me wrong but Storm can manipulate solar storms, winds, radiation and many other things, and burst neurons... uhm... I don't think that Magneto can truly beat her if she sets her mind onto it. The only thing stopping her doing that is her humanity and him being like a brother to her since he is a fellow mutant. Same goes for Magneto, mind you. He considers Storm like a sister to him, due to her being a mutant.

I grew up with her black bikini costume from the comics, before I saw the cartoon. That outfit is one of the reasons, she is one of my favorite superheroines.
This is Storm stretching not flexing. This girl would ruin Earth's atomphere and create one in space if she wanted to. Start storms in people's brains. Create hurricane hundreds of miles away. This is why Storm is my favorite X-Men.

Actually your comment perfectly mirrors how Storm is throughout the original series. And seeing her unleash her powers in display in the new series just shows how strong she is.
I don't think I've seen such captivating visualizations of Storm's powers as I have within this X Men 97 show. The cinematography, editing, and music are top notch right here as was in episode # 1. the creative team did an outstanding job just showing you the raw power that Storm has. There is a reason she is an omega level mutant and that other top mutants such as Magneto and Apocalypse have come to respect her so much. She almost doesn't even feel like a mutant anymore, and seems much more like some elemental God. Bravo X men 97 team, Bravo!!

I can see this play out on a live stand-alone Storm movie with amazing CGI.
That would take quite a bunch of money though. The space picture itself will probably at least thousands upon thousands. And let alone the CGI for the enclosure in the cave and her moving back the earth. Which is a surprise mind you, Storm was able to create earthquakes before by controlling the water and heating under the surface but never earth itself...
