    There's no doubt Back Bay is expensive. As a resident who bought our condo many years ago (and thus technically cheaper than for new arrivals), I can attest to the magnificent benefits of the location. Boston is the most walkable city in the US--museums, sports, plays, concerts, historical sites, and great restaurants are available without a car from this (and other) neighborhood. In short, it's comfortable and convenient IF you can afford it.

      Hi
      @Smcolw Absolutely, Back Bay really offers the best of Boston with its walkability and proximity to so many great attractions! It’s definitely a prime location for those who can afford it. The convenience of living close to museums, restaurants, and historical sites is unmatched. Thanks for sharing your perspective as a resident it’s a great reminder of how much this area has to offer!

    Nice. Feels kind of like Lincoln Park, here in Chicago. Thanks for sharing!

    I'd rather live in the burbs and visit the city when I feel like it

    I often wondered where people do grocery shopping in the city.

      Some people drive out of the city to do shopping but others go to the stores right in the city. There’s a Star Market and a Trader Joe’s in Back Bay

    A back yard with a dog wins out every time. Let the tourists wander through their movie set. Back bay is as impractical as it gets!

      Hi @EricSteinert4953 Haha, you make a great point! A backyard with a dog definitely beats the hustle and bustle of city life. While Back Bay has its charm, sometimes the practicality of a quiet space for your pup and a bit more room to breathe wins out. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

    Let me see...what they don't tell you about Back Bay....IT IS HORRIBLY EXPENSIVE?!?! .....and no PARKING

    • @kimberleemeserve
      @kimberleemeserve  4 дні тому

      Hi @VanessaCostadosSantos7155 Back Bay is definitely pricey, and parking can be a challenge! But if you’re willing to deal with that, the location is unbeatable. It's one of the most iconic neighborhoods in Boston, with beautiful brownstones, tons of shopping on Newbury Street, and easy access to the Charles River for walks or runs. Plus, you're close to all kinds of cultural spots like museums, theaters, and restaurants. If you love a lively, walkable neighborhood, it’s a fantastic place to live!

    I live in Boston and the Back BAY is a total waste of time, all the shops are high end.
    The is nothing for the average joe at all, The library she talks about is a homeless shelter
    outside and inside. Its impossible park anywhere since they put bike lanes everywhere.
    It clogged with traffic and migrants, on fast mopeds delivering dinners to the rich.
    It only the rich and the homeless the art scene is a joke. The rats are everywhere
    in the alleys, how about a 6 dollar coffee. Go shove it .....

      Hi @daylight3621 I get where you’re coming from. Back Bay has definitely become high-end, which can make it tough for the average person to enjoy. Thanks for sharing your perspective; it’s always helpful to hear what locals experience day-to-day in the city!
