Kind of a biased view of a few selected neighborhoods but not disagreeing with her statements. It's kind of like any other major city in the US where some neighborhoods are very residential and single family homes but still in city limits. Has anyone ever gone to Howard Beach NYC in Queens or Rockaway or any other city where the main downtown areas or city vibes are? Kind of the same.

Biggest problem I see Kimberlee (🙄) is that no one gives AF.

East Boston is very easy access to downtown via blue line and Seaport via ferry service

Wasn’t there a recent article in the Globe that said they built too many life science labs and many of them could sit empty?

The traffic in the Longwood area is already atrocious. I would definitely want to live nearby if I worked there. I hope better transportation is part of the plan.

Welcome to Massachusetts

I have friends that live a couple blocks away from Porter Square. It's a lovely area. All of the nice shopping and restaurants along Mass Ave. are great and, once you get a couple of blocks away from Mass Ave., it's really quiet. Granted, it's super expensive, but if you have the money, it's a great place to live. I will, however, throw a bit of shade at Cambridge as any time the Red Line is down and I have to drive into Boston for work, I HATE Cambridge for making for making Route 2 so impassible between Arlington and Brookline. That's just my little vent. :)

awesome job I lived in newton the lakes for 8years but if was very exspensive I now live in south georgia a lot cheaper but I miss the excitement of the city. thanks

“Tunnel traffic” 😰

Wow, this video about Boston gave me my childhood memories because my family and I came to America in 1982 from Cambodia. We were living at 1325 Commonwealth Ave in Allston where the band Aerosmith lived also, we moved around all around Allston and ended up living 2 blocks away from BU. But now I'm in Lynn because I work at GE and only 5 minutes away form home.

Transportation issues are always bad no matter what the weather. The simple fact is the Democrats in this uniparty state do not care. In spite of their continuous propaganda about being the party of the people, they have never done anything to develop a comprehension transportation plan that might alleviate the situation. Now cross one of their cherished left wing social beliefs, that are in fact part of a blue fundamentalist creed and they will respond with a roar at the speed of lightening. Ameliorating the conditions of the average working class (probably a deplorable) person in Massachusetts is not sexy enough to get their attention.

Unless Boston improves its public transit system, I will continue to avoid going into Boston.

Allston-Brighfon, but I'm a long-term Brighton resident, so I'm a little biased ;)

There's no doubt Back Bay is expensive. As a resident who bought our condo many years ago (and thus technically cheaper than for new arrivals), I can attest to the magnificent benefits of the location. Boston is the most walkable city in the US--museums, sports, plays, concerts, historical sites, and great restaurants are available without a car from this (and other) neighborhood. In short, it's comfortable and convenient IF you can afford it.

I would love to visit Boston just to visit it looks beautiful
