There is another man from Connecticut, Samuel Huntington, who has a claim for being the first president of the US as he served as President of the Continental Congress signing the Articles of Confederation…. Before Washington would take office quite a bit later.
That was very interesting. If they taught that in history class, must have been absent😅. Never too late to learn something new... thank you, I enjoyed the story
It amazes me that you only went to 7th grade. You have more intelligence then most people that have graduated college. I enjoy learning on your channel.
My Grampop had a 3rd grade education he retired as a foreman at Carpenter Technology an Aerospace Manufacturing Plant in 1968 , he said book learning was okay but hands on was real learning ❤
Gurl, a 3yrs old child can have more intelligence than an adult. They exist and their called Child Prodigies. Life is a mystery and we shouldn't judge anyone because the arrogant fool will be humbled.
What a weird thing to say. I know a lot of people who haven’t been pass middle school and people who have graduated college. The difference between the two groups is usually the graduate is only knowledgeable in one area while the “other ones” know a lot about almost everything. I wonder if you’re so sheltered shocked by one’s “lack of education” you actually would say that to someone in person.
Actually it goes just like this in that line of succession: “If the President were to resign or die, the Secretary of State is fourth in line of succession after the Vice President, the Speaker of the House, and the President pro tempore of the Senate.”
Thank you for sharing. Very interesting to know this. So you asked for comments about how you did. One thing that was not correct was that George Dallas was not his Vice President. Taylor’s VP was a man named Millard Fillmore. Reason why I am bringing it up was that Taylor died about a year into his presidency and Fillmore became the President. Another interesting thing about Taylor was that there was conspiracy theories that he was murdered by poison. He was actually exhumed about 30 years ago because of the crazy theories and they found out, he wasn’t poisoned. He actually died of something that was very similar to cholera which was very prevalent in that time period because drinking water was easy to get contaminated. Thanks again for sharing this.
“What are ya gonna do?” You’re so funny Lamont! I notice a lot of lichen on that headstone. I’m fascinated by lichen specifically on headstones, it’s a time measuring device! If you want to know the age of something (let’s say an old tomb or artifact) you can measure the lichen on the oldest headstones. By the size of the lichen (an extremely slow growing organism if not the slowest!) you can deduce the age of the object. Sometimes it’s an inch every hundred years
True. The majority of the senate is 3rd in line for president. So yes if the president was out and the vice president wasn’t there become president then he was the president for 1 day. This is why they tried to impeach Trump then Pelosi would be vice president. 😂
Thanks for this. Something I didn't know, and have just learned from you. I wonder what the conversation would have been like, if there was any between himself and his slaves in the afterlife.
Having the inauguration day in March might be a good idea. Sometimes in January in Washington D.C., the weather is freezing and doesn't make for a pleasant or comfortable inauguration.
My co workers grandmother was a Pierce and that the men in her family often crossed their legs when they sat down. She was also told her ancestor was former president Franklin Pierce who ironically was crossing his legs in his portrait! He was the 14th President, so after this guy was in office..
Yes please cover the Presidents. It’s rather sad how uneducated the average American is.
Take good care Lamont and all who gathered here.

@@GoGirl311lmaooooooo 🤣🤣 you're telling her to re-read her comment but yet you had to edit yours. Yeah, real brilliant "Einstein" 🤡🤓

My Dad went only to the 5th grade.

Another good job Lamont
There were Presidents before George Washington, it would be kind of cool to look into that
Looking good Lamont Dorsey
Good morning 🌞
definitely fascinating, and I am looking forward to your next video. Please be safe out there, and stay hydrated, 🙏
If he was into slavery . He shouldn’t rest in peace!
Well, that was very informative. Maybe you should have been a history teacher.
Wonderful history.. thank u. Very interesting.
I say dig him up & put him in the White House. Can’t be any worse than what’s in there now
And can't be any worse than the candidates as well
That frogtown roll call looks cool 😎 🐸 👍🏽

I really hope he makes a video of all the presidents I definitely want to watch it Lamont if you can make that happen I would appreciate it thank you
You can spend eternity exposing the bush crime family alone
My gut feeling says that he wasn't a good slave owner.
Hey Lamont! What's up dude?
Geeez the hiistory of our country I kind of forgot dang .. president Atchison much ❤️💯 and respect ❤ thank you for reminding me of him Lamont 😊

I love the energy
Never heard of this president but thanks for the info.

Not surprised he owned slaves
It seems anyone who could afford it owned slaves. Remember it wasn’t practiced only in the South. Rhode Island was a slave state.
Do a story on the first president of the US…the black guy not Washington!
As you should Lamont ❤❤
As always you did great. I enjoy your unfiltered style and not playing that mushy music as and intro. Take care and be safe on your travels.
I guess the Speaker of the house was not included in the succession in the early days.
That truly was fascinating. Thanks for the education!
