    AS I WAS 16 AT THE TIME I READ THE NEWSPAPER AND LISTENED TO NEWS ON THE RADIO, I NEVER KNEW OF THIS UNTIL NOW!
    BUT A YEAR AFTER THIS WAS THE INFAMOUS MURDER OF THE CLUTTER FAMILY IN HOLCOMB KS.
    ONE OF THE
    MURDERERS WAS BASED IN EDGERTON KS, NEXT TO OUR HOME TOWN!
    A FEW YEARS LATER WE SAW THEM FILM A MOVIE, BASED ON THE TRUMAN CAPOTE BOOK!

    if they would only bring back the next day at sunup justice that would make people think twice about doing theses senseless crimes. that is only in a case where their is no doubt on a iron clad testimony of 2 or more credible witnesses or a confession. other than that, it will be up to a jury

    I went to school with a fella In wellington Ohio who had shot both of his parents because they confiscated a video game..the dad survived..Danny was a very nice kid and funny too..never understood why he did such a thing

    Back then just follow some well established drop tables and the janitor could do the job on his smoke break. Now they need fancy drugs or specialists and still botch the jobs to the point the death penalty takes 25 years or more to carry out due to the appeals and moratoriums concerning cruel and unusual punishment.

    When I was in grade school a kid did this exact thing, killed his father, mother and younger sister. He went to school the next day like nothing happened. After three days he brought friends home to show the bodies. His sister was my age I used to play with her. This story is very similar

      @SunShine-em8qu One may have lack of empathy, but that does not always translate into murderous intent, much less the act of murder. There is no correlation that I am aware of between autism and murder.

    $1800 in 1958 is equal to almost $19,000 now People have died for a whole lot less. We have no idea who people really are....even our own family members. It is really sad.

    Shortly after that, another murdered family in Kansas. It was the Clutter killings. Truman Capote wrote a book about it.

    Never ceases to amaze me, the evil around us! I love my dogs more and more each day! Thank you for such interesting stories! A long time ago, one of my teachers, a nun, told me to read biographies that it was better to learn by the mistakes of others, than our own!

      @@DeneF obviously, she too learned by the mistakes of others. Let me add that I was brought to this great country when I was 7-years old. In less than 2 months, I was fluent in English because the nuns took the time, to stay after school and teach me English, both the language and the grammar. I received an excellent education that when I went to public high school, I had already learned most of the subject matter. So whatever you want to “mock” the nuns, I am very grateful to all of them!

    Very good video Lamont. I remember reading about that story in the book In Cold Blood. This guy had no conscience, no soul. Just didn't give a damn.
    There's a chance that he lived with his mother and his sister and his father and they had absolutely no clue of the Daydreams that were going through his mind year-after-year about fantasizing of their deaths.
    If that doesn't scare you then nothing will.
    I'll tell you something, it takes a kind of species to think like that!

    YEP.Happened in my family.My nephew threw a brick through the bedroom window.Smashed his Dad's brain.He was 17 at the time it happened.At his father's funeral he behaved like his father died of natural causes.Nothing can surprise me anymore.😮😮😮

    The film "In Cold Blood" showed him by saying the press called him the "nicest boy in Kansas." They showed walking toward the death house in the snow.
    He deserved the sentence
