Nice review. In the present world of popups I think many look past this blind. Ameristep has been selling these for over 10 years. Hardly love everything about the blind BUT the corner windows are killer for me. Absolutely love those vertical windows. For the price I get two or three seasons out of them and I am ok with that. High quality no BUT a very functional blind in the woods.
Just got one for 10 bux at a yardsale it's pretty nice !Mines got a camo bag and backpack straps 3 different sets of velcro windows a gear storage locker overhead and a opening ceiling window I guess for duck hunting, it's also got fake camo leaves hanging on it .
I have a question about bowhunting from a ground blind in general. I have never hunted from a ground blind before. Well I bought one today. I brought it home and set it up. No problems it was very easy. I decided to shoot my bow from it. I had a horrible time seeing my sight pins. I have a lighted fiber optic sight so I turned the light on. Didn't help at all. This was in full sunlight so I'm hoping as it gets later in the day this will improve. Do you have this problem and if so do you have a solution?
I have not had that issue myself and I would’ve suggested turning on your pin light but sounds like you already tried that! That’s a tough one! I’ll pull my ground blind out and play with it and see if I can figure something out for ya!
That does not sound right to me. Did you check your sight batteries? Even inexpensive sights with a rheostat light should make it very easy to pick up your pins in a dark blind. Could it be you were dealing with a lot of glare from having the blind in the sun and not the shade. What about having too many windows opened adding to the glare?
@@johnd7215 the full direct midday sunlight was the problem. Although I had only the front window open and it seemed plenty dark inside the blind the glare was just to much. I tried it again after the sun had went down and was able to see them ok. I still had to use the light. Once I get it set up in the woods and not an open area such as my yard it should be ok.
Walmart near me just put these on clearance for $28 each so I bought 4. Thanks for the review.

Thank goodness you're not hunting pigs, because they'd huff and puff and blow that Brickhouse over!
