Omfg....I literally just subscribed to you because I remember how amazing your twitter was and I was sad you hadn't posted in ages AND NOW THIS 😭 You're my inspiration omfg
Just had this video recommended to me. I've been missing baked mac and I really love that you actually tell people all the ingredients before you start the recipe.
just made a test batch before christmas and ma'am i tore that thang UP!!!!!!!!!! u did your thing with this cuz it was so creamy & cheesy it literally felt indulgent which is what i wanted!!!!
I LOVE The mustard tip! I saw it on your instagram a while ago and my vegan Mac and cheese was forever changed for the better! Also, your hair looks beautiful!
My vegan mac has gotten pretty good...my non-vegan family enjoys it. But you have taught me some thangs TUHDAY!! I cant wait to try this! 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 thanks for posting!! ❤
My mom is from Spain (not raised American on food like this) and she would try to make us kids "American" food every now and then to normalize us in society. I remember she said mustard was the secret in her mac and cheese (it was dairy based back then), so as a kid I didn't know any different. There is something about the mustard that complements cheese so well. As a 13-year vegan now, I thought I would try my hand at a plants only cheesy bake. Yours looks so authentic I can't wait to try it. P:
I didn't have all the ingredients but I made due and it was amazing! Thank you for the recipe!! The only thing I added was lemon juice and broccoli to mine.
Glad to see you’re on youtube, just subbed! My wife bought your cook book and we absolutely love it! I am using this recipe tonight for my vegan thanksgiving!
I love bringing corn maque choux! I already veganize it, but it's my absolute favorite. I use 2-3 jalapenos, red bell pepper, frozen sweet corn, plant cream (store bought, but I'm gonna try your cashew cream next time!), and salt, pepper, paprika, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. It's absolutely AMAZING and has the lovely spiciness to it that I love.
This is the best vegan mac and cheese recipe! 🙌🏾 I made this for Thanksgiving and discovered that the cheese sauce can be used for a delicious vegan fondue as well.
Ooooo thanks for putting us on with this recipe, friend! 🙌🏾 I'm going to try making it for this week's holiday and pair it with a sweet potato-apple-kale-raisin salad as my contribution. Will have to report back and let you know how it goes!🙂🥗🧀
@@veganhippiesol My first batch for TG dinner was okaaayyyy. I was a bit shy with the seasonings and my shopper forgot to get me the Worcestershire & Liquid Smoke 🙄 The flavors of that dish didn't quite hit for me, but folks at the table with *ahem* appreciation for blander tasting foods -- they loved it! Round 2: Went grocery shopping today, got the Worcestershire, Liquid Smoke, plant based shredded cheddar cheese (my shopper only got me Mozz cheese for my first batch 🙄) -- made a second batch and everyone has since had two servings! 😋 Folks in my IG stories were like "omg that doesn't even look vegan! Looks so good!" I've also forwarded this video to a couple acquaintances who've given great reviews. All that to say - you did that! Thanks so much for giving us the scoop! 🧀
OMG, I am starved to death, and here you are.... AAAAAHHHHH!!!!! Now I am gonna have to do some half-buns thing, since I don't have the stuff, nor the stamina, to cook. Meanwhile, this looks so good. I made some for my husband the other day, using a Vegan roux, but used his real cheese for him, and he was blown away. Mine, with the Vegan cheeze I had on hand, was bland and sad. Five years into it, I am struggling.

Potato starch flour is derived from the starch of potatoes, whereas tapioca flour is made from the cassava plant's root, but you can use them interchangeably.
"If you like a dry mac and cheese.. that's your business" made me LOL
😂😂😂 listennnn there’s nothing worse than a dry mac and cheese!!

The new daiya does so well on top of baked Mac , it bubbles and stretches
I made this & it was sooo good. This has just became my go to recipe. I made it for someone who wasn’t vegan & the plate was clean afterwards lol

thank you so much and the mustard is a must!!!
Glad to see someone else using cream cheese. People always thought it was weird that I add it. Or sometimes sour cream.
Really??? It’s a necessity!!!!
As a chef and caterer by night… I certainly took notes on how to make mine even more delectable 😋👏👏👏👏👏
Hey Chef!!!! Love to hear it. Best of luck to you and your business.🫶🏾

Thank you for this recipe, I’m making it today for thanksgiving!! Can you be more specific with measurements next time please 🫶🏽
I don’t measure. I have a cookbook with measurements available though. So sorry!!!! I just cook from my heart. 😅
You did that!
Looks great
How long did you bake covered?
Until cheese was melted. About 20 mins
What degrees did you bake it for covered?
@@izabellabarba4688375F
🔥Sis be killing the recipes. I like to add a little bit of Hot sauce to mine.
How long do you bake it for?
20 mins or until the cheese is melted! Check at the 15 min mark
I need measurements!😩
It looks amazing! 🌿 Thank you!
That looks better than all the vegan man&cheese I've had so far. Thanks for sharing, Im gonna try to make it.
Are you cashews roasted? With salt or unsalted?
As stated in the video they’re raw cashews that are boiled! Doesn’t matter if they’re salted or unsalted.
@@veganhippiesol okay thanks for responding I only asked because I got some cashews from Cosco and nobody wanted to eat them. We realized that they were raw and not roasted. @@Claudymaze you can boil roasted ones too. It won’t make a difference, so you can still use them. Either way you’ll have a perfect cheese sauce. 🌱
I found Taioca flour but when I search starch it says potato starch. Is that what it is?
Potato starch flour is derived from the starch of potatoes, whereas tapioca flour is made from the cassava plant's root, but you can use them interchangeably.

How make the rue😢
I'm scared to mix shreds with nooch 🥺
Wooster sauce. If you're British you dont say the 'shire'
thanks!
Dang this looks expensive

Heyyyy
Oligarchic autocracy is the wave of the future. Genuine democracy is little more than a defunct benign wish. It was a good idea while it lasted.
Trying this today🥹🫶🏾will be back with an update
Recipe was 10/10!! I used almond milk, vegan gouda cheese slices, and a little more mustard!😋
