I had a problem with sweating after applying skincare in the summer, and when I stepped outside, all my skincare would just melt away in the harsh sun. But for the last 4 months, I've started using rice berry sunscreen by littlleeextra, and I haven't experienced that sweat issue with this sunscreen. My face also doesn't appear dark after applying it. In fact, I’ve also begun using rice berry face moisturizer and face serum underneath this sunscreen, and I’ve found that my face stays well-hydrated. Daily use of these products has been helping to reduce pigmentation.

Zero sunscreen reccomendations for oily skin have worked great on me. They are all oily, wet and frankly disgusting. I have so many, been led astray so many times! The only 2 i found suitable, i had to find by trial and error: ELF INVISIBLE SPF 35 (truly matte and water resistant, works under makeup. Its a dupe for the SG Unseen, and unlike supergoop, it doesnt break me out. Primer like texture.) and Paulas Choice Youth Extending spf 50 fluid (not matte, but very lightweight, and it sets somewhat. Its not water resistant and it works GREAT under makeup. I apply it in sweeping motions. Otherwise you will have to wait for it to set a little to fully work it in).
I like Elta Md UV Clear tinted if im not wearing makeup. Super lighweight. You can put a bit of concealer and powder on top, but no rubbing. If you buff with brushes it comes off.
Thats it. And ive tried so many ❤

My skin is combination with some patches of dryness/dehydration. As much as I love a calming moisturising spf, I find most look really nice when applied but become too shiny looking and greasy throughout the day. I'm in the UK and have previously tried the Eucerin oil gel control - I thought it was okay but burnt my eyes a bit. Had the same issue with La Roche posey Shaka fluid - I think the alcohol bothers my eyes and the fact they're fluid makes them move around too much.
I'll be travelling to Greece soon and have read my recommendation about "Frezyderm" : there is a tinted and non tinted version, very siliconey in texture - seem like a dupe for Cotz/ Supergoop from your description :)
So far my fave spa has been Beauty of Joseon and I think it suits many skin types.

It would be nice as well to understand what is the recommended minimum PPD to use. I know for UVB the ideal is SPF 50, but for PPD I am not sure. On the PA system, a ++++ label just means PPD higher than 16 I believe, but that doesn't sound much actually... Shouldn't it be 50 ideally as well? Or the criteria is different for UVA and UVB? Thanks!

From what I gather, it’s incredibly hard to formulate a stable sunscreen w UVA protection that high, and you basically can’t do it with a (wearable) zinc sunscreen. It’s only done w the new generation chemical filters. The only sunscreen I know with a UVA protection that high is the La Roche Posay UVmune & it’s not available to those of us in the US.
