The air here is so dry, it'll suck the moisture from your skin in minutes if you don't lock it down. I guess I've been "slugging" for decades and never knew it.
I use Aquaphor on my lips at night. I usually will wet my lips with warm water and then quickly follow up with some Aquaphor to lock in the moisture. Seems to work really well for me at stopping chapped lips.

Vaseline and Aquaphor are both amazing products, however be warned that Aquaphor contains a bit of lanolin in its formula. Therefore, if one has any sensitivity/allergy to wool it is best to use Vaseline instead.
I didn’t know there was a term for moisturizing. Black people have been doing this for decades. Vaseline stays in our home. I use Vaseline and aquaphor on my kids and my youngest as a infant had bad eczema so I would use Vaseline, Aqua with shea and coco butter for his skin
My Grandpa used Vaseline on his face every day and night. It was the only thing he ever used, and I thought it was ridiculous. I assumed that it was super heavy but when I heard that this was a long-standing skincare technique, I thought I would try it because Minnestoa winters are harsh. I bought a container of Vaseline to try out this "slugging" technique cause it's the most affordable option out of the three products that were mentioned in the video. So far slugging is working well for me and has cleared up a lot of my dry skin on my face. I use a hyaluronic acid serum from the brand Herbivore first, eye cream, and this vitamin C night moisturizer from freck beauty.
Aquafor is what was given to me to use while I was getting breast radiation. It was ok but when I used CBD cream from the dispensary, it healed the very slight radiation burn I got the last 2 days of treatment within another 2 days.
I tried this with the cerave ointment and had one of the most horrific breakouts of my life! Ever since, I assumed it had something to do with petrolatum but now I’m wondering if it’s bc of the actives 😬
Cerave breaks me out like no other, even cystic. For me, it’s the many many coconut derived ingredients in it. Anything with a bunch of coconut derivatives makes my skin go nuts, I didn’t figure this out until last year! Maybe you have the same intolerance?
@@deberanmosteller6229 yesssss!!! I’ve retried it almost every night since I saw this vid and I’m certain it’s bc I loaded my face with tret then slathered on the cerave
I use Cerave healing ointment over my moisturizer and tretinoin and my skin handles it very well, but I tried Aquaphor years ago and it caused me to breakout. Maybe just stick to Vaseline over your moisturizer since you’re allergic. 🤷🏻♀️
I've been reading a lot of comments. It seems some folks think slugging is for putting ONLY vaseline, cerave or aquafore in large amounts on their skin. Thats NOT slugging. Slugging is using an active ingredient and then covering that active ingredient with vaseline, cerave etc. to hold that active ingredient in.
I used slugging on my hands to heal the skin barrier after destroying it from overexposure to cold weather. I used a glycerol infused based cream. Never thought of putting it on my face because I have acne and I thought it would cause more breakouts.
I'm Black & was raised by an aunt who was a beautician and probably trained under Madame C.J. Walker. Startin when I was a toddler, she used to slather Pond's Cold Cream on my face and warned me not to go out in the sun until she wiped all of the cream off of my face. As a teen, I didn't suffer with a lot of acne on my face. Now I use various cleansers and moisturizers. Additionally, I eventually learned that I cannot use any products that contain mineral oil or petroleum. Using them guarantees that I will grow a full beard within a month or two. I don't like looking like the bearded lady 😁(no offense if that's your thing).
@@donnalawrence8593 100% agree with you! Lol. I thought for 1.25$ I might as well try it once. I noticed the barest improvement on my crows feet initially so stuck with it. Current evening routine involves: adapelene spots on my hormonal acne, retinol, Japanese liquid lotion, and a heavier cream lotion. Before applying Vaseline. Since starting that routine two months ago, my skin has never been clearer, even toned, and wrinkles have minimized. My nose, the worst of the pores has gotten "glass" level smooth after washing. Combined with pantothenic acid supplements. I've never been happier with my skin, this is what works for me. Probably the retinol is so weak, and that's why daily usage is possible? Personally, I need the exact same routine every night or I'll forget what days I need to do what 😅
I'm not sure which allergies you have but, I use Dr.G, it's a korean mineral suncream. I find it's really nice on my skin^^ maybe you could give that one a try ^^
My youngest daughter is going to get a kick out of this! She has extreme dermatitis and MCAS, and has never had a day in her 8 years of life where she has not been itchy. We use wet wraps on her, and also apply loads of Vaseline or steroid ointments, never creams, and then zip her up in cotton footed pajamas and cotton gloves at night. She gets coated in Shea butter, Cocoa butter, or Coconut oil several times during the day, too. We have gotten most of the bleeding (from broken dry/irritated skin AND itching) and cracking under control with a strict regiment of all those methods plus medications. She also takes lukewarm water bleach baths, they are great at helping when she is especially bad. She’s allergic to oats, so no oatmeal baths or most other “eczema formula lotions” since they usually contain oat! I hope this will help her feel less alone, since others are also “slugging” 😊
The whole slugging thing made me think of tattoo aftercare and all the hype around different ointments and what you should and shouldn't use. Would you ever do a video giving your thoughts on what's best for healing the skin after tattooing?
The best thing now for a tattoo is to keep it clean and dry and rinse with clean water when needed and NOT smother it in crap products to allow it to heal just like any other wound should. It’s actually proven that wounds NOT covered actually take LESS time to heal than covered ones do, not the opposite as we’re originally taught years ago. The body knows how to heal itself if you just get out of its way and allow it to do its thing on its own! It’s designed to do so! It’s when we interfere, that’s when it takes longer. We don’t always know what’s best, but our bodies do for the most part and don’t need our help. When we stop putting crap into and on our bodies to ruin it in the first place, there little damage to save it from later on.
Aquaphor- by far. If your skin is itching really bad when it’s healing, use that. It did wonders for mine. But I would only use it when my skin was really itching and dry. I try to let them heal as much on their own as possible, but if you live in an arid climate, it makes that really hard. (Which I do.)
My grandma used to cover me in Vaseline before bed when I was a kid. I have a picture of me standing on the bed in a onesie with glare coming off my face from the flash. When I lived in Alaska I used Vaseline when temperatures dropped below zero and people used to tease me for it but it works.
Thank you so much for this video, it was super helpful, as always! ❤️ In the future, I would love to see one about atopic dermatitis/atopic skin in general. Among many skin problems throughout my life, I have been REALLY struggling with it when I was a kid. Then it disappeared in my teenage years, as it typically does. I'm now 22 and I noticed it is starting to come back, especially when I am stressed or just not feeling my best mentally. I would really appreciate some Doctorly tips (what products do you recommend etc.) and just general info about it and how to best take care of atopic skin. Keep up the great work! 👏🏻🙌🏻
I also have atopic dermatitis and now developed nummular eczema - mineral oil underneath Vaseline has been wonderful for me. I use mineral oil over my whole body and layer Vaseline on my flare up spots right after a shower to prevent future flare ups. Real world NP has a great video about treatments for atopic dermatitis!
Hi, dear Doctors! Can you please make a video about the skin protection our hands? And maybe the neck area? This is the two areas, were we first see the oldering.... right?
I started doing this without knowing there was a term for it. I'll put vaseline on top of my moisturiser. It prevents me from waking up with dry skin around my eyes and lips!
I started slugging with the ceraVe night cream just around my eyes. It has been amazing! I thought there was a lot more going on with my eyes, discoloration, puffiness, etc. But it was simply dry skin that was causing a creepy look now. I slug in the morning for about two hours if I am staying home. I tend to not do it at night, because I feel like the products move into my eyes and that is not good. Anyway, I am blown away with the results.
I LOVE how they're pronouncing PETROLEUM as if it's some other or different word than what it's been forever....the product doesn't change just bc you pronounce it weirdly....
My Grandmother was doing this in the 1930's. Then my Mother showed me how to do it in the 1950's/ Much simpler than this hyped up version. Face wash in warm water, but don't dry, then apply thin layer of Vaseline over the top, it traps in the moisture.
Here’s what confuses me: Say I use Vaseline. I’ve got to wash it off somehow, right? Or else future products won’t absorb into my skin. But washing it off with anything strong enough to strip it is probably going to reverse any healing or benefits the Vaseline provided in the first place. Right? What then?
Thanks for the great video Drs!!! My Eye Dr advised me to slug my eyelids with Vaseline because of my sensitive eye lids and dry eye syndrome. It was a great tip! So anytime I’m at home my eyelids are slugged good 🤣 this may be useful for Dr Shah, my fellow sensitive eye lid friend 😊
@@Skaleezay yes, I get itchy red eyelids. I have dry eyes and an allergy to many eye drops. I can only use preservative free eye drops. Do you also suffer from this condition?
Petroleum or mineral oil is in so many moisturizers already. It helps seal moisture in and keeps it from evaporating off the face. So because it's in pretty much everything there is no real need to add an additional layer of petroleum/Vaseline after moisturizer is applied. It's just another step and more money spent. If you read up on vintage beauty care using Vaseline/petroleum jelly you'll find that women used to apply it over moisturizer for decades. This trend is not new it just currently has a new name.
A trend is something that has become popular to a mass of people, not that it's being done by people/the novelty factor. So it's a recent trend in that it's been exposed to more people recently due to TikTok and UA-cam. Also, there are different content levels of petroleum and mineral oil in products for people with different needs. Hence slugging for people with additional dryness (for whatever reason), for example you wouldn't use a moisturiser with low occlusive properties if it were damaged. So I don't really get your comment since both of your points don't seem right.
Oil of ulay . The original beauty fluid .or Nivea , the full fat blue tin , or astral cream . A big layer on to cleansed skin . Let it soak in for an hour or as long as you can stand , wipe of with a flannel .let the skin breathe over night . Non of that stuff in the vid . If you have clogged pores or spots just don't do this . Leave the skin until it clear .
I didn’t know there was a term for this. 😂 I’ve always done this ever since my skin got dryer with age am/pm, but I find that my skin is not irritated when I do this method using tretinoin. It helps my skin not get dry/itchy from tret. The only thing is I don’t use tret every day since I have hypersensitive skin (so could be different for others) and I do the sandwich method and finish with the occlusive as the last step.
Are you using tret with hydroquinone? That’s what I’m on and I want to try this out- I just know how irritating hydroquinone is, and am hesitant to use it underneath CereVe/aquaphor because I don’t want it to be amplified.
Me too. It’s kept me from buying these products. But now I wonder if it’s based on anything true or I’ve just repeated what I’ve always heard growing up….
For those of you who slug, do you rub the slugging product you’re using into the skin the best you can and then how do you sleep without getting your pillowcase covered in petrolatum product????
I used Vaseline on my toddlers eczema as it was the only thing that stopped him from clawing off his skin. (Though when he “painted” my couch with it I was not happy.) I’d put it over the medication the dr gave us, eventually using only that. (He’s 21 now with no eczema, thankfully)
Couple questions: how much of the slugging product should you actually use - like should you see a thick layer of in on your face? And doesn't it rub off while you sleep? I'm a side/stomach sleeper and I have to put on my moisturiser about an hour or two before going to bed, otherwise it just ends up on my pillowcase. I would imagine that Vaseline would just sit there for quite a while before absorbing, esp since there's a moisturiser underneath.
Update: I tried it last night, I put a layer of Vaseline over my moisturizer, not too much at about 8pm. When I went to bed at 11pm, it was all still there completely unabsorbed. I slept with a towel on my pillow and when I woke up I had Vaseline in my hair and around the collar of my tshirt. When I washed it off, my skin did feel a bit softer, but my oily t-zone is unusually oily today. I don't see how people do this every day, it seems like more of a weekly thing. IMO not worth the trouble, but maybe I did it wrong 🤷
I grew up doing this with bag balm and wearing gloves on top of my hands during the winter. Only thing that keeps skin from cracking and bleeding from working outside in an agricultural setting.
I do this w the thick white Nivea that comes in a tin (it's a thick, opaque white, like zinc oxide-) making sure I use a neck roll pillow to keep cream it ON my face. As I get up to pee at night, I will reapply to the specific areas that drink up the cream quicker (around my nostrils, eyes) it's easy to tell bc these areas are clear & not white, anymore (by morning all is clear the white has disappeared)
I started slugging at night because of dry skin without knowing what slugging is.. with a small amount ..after double cleansing and using moisturiser My smile lines and undereye wrinkles have gone away..
Thank you guys - I always learn so much from your videos! What do think of vitamin A+D ointment? My family has always used it. There’s always been a tube or vat of A+D in our bathroom. I know it’s mostly petrolatum and lanolin, but I haven’t seen much about it on UA-cam.
I love it and use it all the time! 🥰 I think because it’s in the baby aisle it is seen by most skincare consumers since usually parents buy it. I swear by it 🙏🏼
What about straight mineral oil? Occlusive? Emollient? Humectant? Hydrator? moisturizer? What is it? Help me people? I need to know how and when to layer in my skin care routine. I’m experiencing “weepy” eczema on my upper thigh it’s so painful and hasn’t healed and I’m trying to avoid relying on the steroids
Thanks for this great info on slugging Doctors! I’ve used Vaseline on cracked heels and my lips for years but never tried it on my face . I will definitely be trying this on my acne prone skin 😊
Aquaphor makes my eyes puff up and seems to irritate my eczema so I gravitate towards Vaseline. I’ve never tried the Cerave one though. Will have to give it a try. Thank you!
Hm...interesting. As an esthetician we were taught that vasline and lanolin were suffocating to the skin and can cause milia. So...now i'm just confused.
IMO, it is safe as long as you do it at least once a week first and a pea size amount is good. And then you can build up once your skin can tolerate it
I’m a little late to the party here….I’d never heard the term “slugging” before. Also never heard “petrolatum” pronounced the way you say it. 🤷♀️ Anyway, thanks for the info. I don’t care for the Vaseline, prefer the CereVe ointment, but now I want to try your third option.
I've been researching about slugging and I find it hard to find a product best for acne prone skin. Lanolin and mineral oil comedogenic so I feel like slugging isn't for us with dry, acne prone skin.
I like it 😌☝️ in winter, I feel like my skin dries out fast. If I put a little thin layer of vaselime on my skin, it really helps to keep my skin moisture and keeps my nice face creams from evaporating 😅? My skin is recovering from a year of neglect, and I think while my skin is so porous it helps a lot 😌☝️👏👏👏 ill use just a little smear of it though, some people use A LOT imo
So the products mentioned don't actually clog pores, however it's recommended to not use them if you have active acne going on. I have active acne and I only use this stuff on dry patches of my skin or to seal in my eye creams and on my lips at night so it still has it's uses even on acne prone skin
I use 100% pure cold pressed hexane free organic castor oil as my first step, and then I seal it all in with 100% pure African Shea Butter, completely unprocessed. I do it over my entire body. It’s beautiful. I simply cannot believe the difference in my skin.
It’s so funny how slugging has become this popular thing. I’ve been doing it for years out of desperation for relief from eczema. It works so well though. Aquaphor is my favourite for slugging.
So weird that the ad before this video started was for Aquaphor products. The moment I. Read the word aquaphor in your comment is the exact moment the narrator of the commercial said the same word
Well, heck, I’ve been slugging all this time and I didn’t even know it was a “thing”! I started several months ago because at 68, the skin on my face (and neck) is much drier than it used to be. I started nightly use of Aquaphor ointment for its healing properties and then began using Ponds dry skin cream underneath it as a humectant. The Ponds product feels great on my skin, so I figured I’d “seal it in” with a layer of Aquaphor. So I guess I stumbled onto something right just by intuition. That happens sometimes. 😂 Thanks, docs, for the validation!
I’m 31 and have been using ponds and sealing it with aquaphor since high school! The ponds feels so good on my skin. I’ve tried so many other creams and nothing else compares. 😊
@@ashlynm997 My goal was never to achieve positive changes in my skin. My goal has been to keep my skin as hydrated and moisturized as possible from the outside. I'm 69 years old. I look about ten years younger than that, but that has more to do with genetics than anything else. Do I have fewer wrinkles than I otherwise would? There's no way to assess that. I've simply tried to look my best at any age, and I think I've succeeded. For all I know, this skin care regimen has had little to no effect. But it makes my skin feel good and well cared for. That's enough for me.
So many people think things like Vaseline and oils will moisturize your skin if you just put it right on dry skin (same with lip balm!) I've been telling people for years that you need to hydrate first and seal it in. I didn't know it was a beauty secret, I think it should be a basic concept we sorta all just know about. Anyone who asks how I'm 41 with no wrinkles has learned about slugging and sealing moisture in, I just didn't have a funny name for it 😂

No it doesn't. It makes your lips feel good for 5 minutes and then makes them _even more dry_ in the long run. Look up the science. This stuff DOES NOT HELP.
@@detectivewiggles its actually really good in creating a layer of protection on your lips. Basically, nothings gets in to irritate it and nothing gets out. Aquafor is what was given to me to use while I was getting breast radiation. It was ok but when I used CBD cream from the dispensary, it healed the very slight radiation burn I got the last 2 days of treatment within another 2 days.
I've been slugging with zinc. It's been amazing.
I tried this with the cerave ointment and had one of the most horrific breakouts of my life! Ever since, I assumed it had something to do with petrolatum but now I’m wondering if it’s bc of the actives 😬
Yea I did the same and I’m 100% sure it was bc I had .1 tret underneath 😭
These ointments seal in the bad bacteria too. Make sure that your face is clean before you do it.
What exactly did you do and use? My hands are so dry.
Oh wow! Thank you! This really helped explain why the .5% dollar tree retinol serum I use has really upped my skin care.
I didn't even think it would work.
Personally, I need the exact same routine every night or I'll forget what days I need to do what 😅
In one of y’all’s videos can you talk about sunscreen allergies??? I’m struggling with finding one that doesn’t irritate my skin😭
I'm not sure which allergies you have but, I use Dr.G, it's a korean mineral suncream. I find it's really nice on my skin^^ maybe you could give that one a try ^^
I used to have the same problem, but it was my damaged skin barrier. Might be something to look into 😉
I sometimes slug with Vanicream Moisturizing Ointment/Vaniply, which no one ever mentions 😅 it's so good!
Thanks for mentioning it! Vanicream cleanser is my Holly grail cleanser so I’ll try vaniply to slug occasionally.
Yesss and I love the soap as well!
I use this also! I agree, it’s so good!
Is it good for sensetive dehydarted skin
In the future, I would love to see one about atopic dermatitis/atopic skin in general.
My daughter has atopic dermatitis, I'm really interested in this too...
@@vcolozzi thanks for your recommendations 😽
How can you sleep with ointment on your face without getting it in your hair and on your bed linens?
One thing I use in addition to regular hand lotion lotion is corn huskers lotion. Especially if I'm about to go out to the cold.
I have been using the Mary Kay red night cream, or Aquaphore for years. Both are great, and the Mary Kay heals my dry lips overnight!
My grandmother has always told us to use Vaseline before bed it’s amazing
I use bio oil for slugging, not sure it’s the best but it works well with my dry skin
I have used Vaseline around my eyes since I was 16 years old. I am now 72 and am just now getting some lines around my eyes.
Awesome! I You've answered my question regarding slugging over actives.Thank you
I was told by a Doctor to use Vapor Rub on the face to moisturize it.
Here’s what confuses me:
Say I use Vaseline. I’ve got to wash it off somehow, right? Or else future products won’t absorb into my skin.
But washing it off with anything strong enough to strip it is probably going to reverse any healing or benefits the Vaseline provided in the first place. Right?
What then?
My last product is vitamin E. I use two capsules after my moisturizer. Thanks for sharing great tips.
Hi, do u get itching as well on ur eyelids?
My aunt was 97 when she died. She slugged every night and had no wrinkles ever.
I've heard that mineral oil is not optimal.
Here in Australia 🇦🇺 we have a good treatment ointment called Dermeze . It has the white paraffin wax and mineral oil
This was my question. Wouldn't you just get oil all over your sheets?
That's what I was wondering too...I'm gonna rub all of this stuff all over my bedsheets and pillowcase!
I def mix lotion & Vaseline together & it’s unmatched
I grew up doing this with bag balm and wearing gloves on top of my hands during the winter. Only thing that keeps skin from cracking and bleeding from working outside in an agricultural setting.
Slugging up with Cetaphil healing ointment works great too
I do this w the thick white Nivea that comes in a tin (it's a thick, opaque white, like zinc oxide-) making sure I use a neck roll pillow to keep cream it ON my face. As I get up to pee at night, I will reapply to the specific areas that drink up the cream quicker (around my nostrils, eyes) it's easy to tell bc these areas are clear & not white, anymore (by morning all is clear the white has disappeared)
What about Coconut oil? I love this for my face.
Thank y"all so much for the information y'all provide in each video!!!
I started slugging at night because of dry skin without knowing what slugging is.. with a small amount ..after double cleansing and using moisturiser
My smile lines and undereye wrinkles have gone away..
Glad to see he’s finally gotten the credit he deserves! There are very few more deserving. ❤
Im using Uderm Hydro for slugging, it locks the water in
dimethicone is such a big no no for me. breaks me out
thanks for this vid
I use the cerave moisturizing cream then I tap a little Aquaphor on my under eyes, and sometimes my face
Thanks for this great info on slugging Doctors! I’ve used Vaseline on cracked heels and my lips for years but never tried it on my face . I will definitely be trying this on my acne prone skin 😊
I like to use vanicream and then put an layer of aloe Vera gel then Vaseline
Aquaphor makes my eyes puff up and seems to irritate my eczema so I gravitate towards Vaseline. I’ve never tried the Cerave one though. Will have to give it a try. Thank you!
Hm...interesting. As an esthetician we were taught that vasline and lanolin were suffocating to the skin and can cause milia. So...now i'm just confused.
Dr, Is slugging safe on acne prone skin?
That I'd like to know
IMO, it is safe as long as you do it at least once a week first and a pea size amount is good. And then you can build up once your skin can tolerate it
Eucerin is my go to.
We used Eucerin for slugging in our household on winter days
I just use argan oil or the La Roche Posay Lipikar Balm
Accutane patient here. The Cerave healing ointment is godly. The ointment of gods I call it.
Love your videos. Could it be possible when suggesting products to include one that is cruelty free?
I’ve been having a not so great Friday and y’all’s videos always cheer me up! 🤩 thanks for the laughs 😆
I hope your day gets better! 🤗
I've been researching about slugging and I find it hard to find a product best for acne prone skin. Lanolin and mineral oil comedogenic so I feel like slugging isn't for us with dry, acne prone skin.
Try castor oil

sounds crazy, but once or twice a week I just use olive oil, not extra Virgin, just normal olive oil. I love it.
Never heard
Of that “slugging” LOL. great info about hydration 👍🏽
They keep saying “Petralatum “ do they mean Vaseline?
This would have been more instructional if there was a demonstration.
Aquaphor is amazing
I like it 😌☝️ in winter, I feel like my skin dries out fast. If I put a little thin layer of vaselime on my skin, it really helps to keep my skin moisture and keeps my nice face creams from evaporating 😅?
My skin is recovering from a year of neglect, and I think while my skin is so porous it helps a lot 😌☝️👏👏👏
ill use just a little smear of it though, some people use A LOT imo
If you suffer from acne would it be a bad idea to do this?? I think my pores are clogged already wouldn't wanna make it worse
So the products mentioned don't actually clog pores, however it's recommended to not use them if you have active acne going on. I have active acne and I only use this stuff on dry patches of my skin or to seal in my eye creams and on my lips at night so it still has it's uses even on acne prone skin
Wow, I use .1% tretinoin, followed by vitamin C, then moisturizer and then slug. I've never had an issue.
I use 100% pure cold pressed hexane free organic castor oil as my first step, and then I seal it all in with 100% pure African Shea Butter, completely unprocessed. I do it over my entire body. It’s beautiful. I simply cannot believe the difference in my skin.
As an African American male vaseline is a staple in most households it’s gives your skin serious glow time
I'm really tickled by the terms mainstream comes up with for these we have been doing for GENERATIONS 🤣

I got introduced to Vaseline from my African friends. They have the best skincare. I apply it before I sleep and I’m glowing the next day.
It’s so funny how slugging has become this popular thing. I’ve been doing it for years out of desperation for relief from eczema. It works so well though. Aquaphor is my favourite for slugging.
I do it for sunburns over aloe oil. I didnt even know it was a thing. I thought I made it up lol

How is it working? Have you seen any positive changes in your skin?
Anyone who asks how I'm 41 with no wrinkles has learned about slugging and sealing moisture in, I just didn't have a funny name for it 😂
I use Eucerin light on my body and you can also use that on your face because it is the light I put a little bit of water on my hands also with the lotion and I feel that it hydrates my skin what do you think? I use the use room light also on my body with water on my hands to put moisture in my skin I feel it helps but how do you feel about it being on my face?
I slug head to toe nightly with Aquaphor after my cleansing & serum & lotions!! I'm the most hydrated 49 yr old out there with practically not a wrinkle!
😊
Does it get all over your bedding?
God loves you! Repent and believe that Jesus paid the price for our sins! He can give you so much love, joy and peace!💕😊
Aquaphor Healing ointment beats the fanciest and most expensive lip balms/chapsticks you can find hands down. I will never not leave without it plus it’s sooo cheap, the whole tub lasts you forever!!
When i had a crazy lip allergic to something that made my lips tingle, swell, and burn, i was told by my derm to place the ointment then follow it up with aquaphor :)
LOL...yep, I grew up learning to do this too.
I just recently discovered Aquaphor because of some dermatitis & dyshidrotic eczema I had. It healed both SO quickly & easily, I now use it regularly for sunburns, scrapes, as a lip moisturizer, and for general skin dryness. I swear by it & recommend it all the time. Tho after watching this vid, I’ll make sure to let people know about the lanolin & the risk of allergy there.
I use it for my tattoos. Works well with itchiness and preventing it from drying and cracking.
Mom used to slather our faces with Vaseline before going out to play in the winter snow. I assume it helped keep us from getting wind burn, but it felt horrible. Good times!
What a good mama you had....
Yup, protects against wind burn
It’s a little blanket for your skin in the cold 😂
Omg I do that to my 2 boys now . Lol moms knows best haha…
