I love how the water gets calm when the sun is setting out there, just an amazing place close to home. So many fish caught in only 4-5 hours. Great job! I went half a day today and had a great time trolling and jigging. It will only get better from here, need a good cold front! 🥶
Nice video. Congrats on a successful trip. Once the salinity starts rising, they move in quickly. I left Lafayette in March of last year. I had many really good trips to Cypremort Point. I miss fishing there.
Thank you!! One heck of a place especially in the Fall. Hope you get back at some point. I was gone from age 21 to 51. That’s lots of fishing days to miss!!! Making up for it now! Cheers and thanks and hope you will continue to enjoy the videos!
Great video Mark! I kayak fish either the cove or shark bayou every other weekend. Glad to see the trout are moving into the cove. Can’t wait until next weekend. Great job!
Thanks a lot! Love it Fall and early Winter. And now a cool campground finally!!! Hope to see you out there! Good luck and feel free to send reports! Hopefully out there again soon.
Hello Patty and Friends! It was a pleasure meeting you. Hope y’all caught some. Great spots down there. I will publish that video either tomorrow or Sunday. And another one from Northline Rec Area in a few days also. Some good action. Hope to see y’all down there again! Thanks and cheers!
Thanks a lot! This kayak was about $1,800. Came with a rebate for the Humminbird fish finder worth an additional $350. A great deal. Old Town Kayak. The comparable Hobie Kayak would cost close to $4,000. Not sure if this link will work, but I made a full review video of my Kayak either lots of tips. About 4 years ago. It’s a 5 lb mushroom anchor. Works perfectly. And easy to lift and cleans off well with holes in the bottom. And doesn’t hold TOO strong so that the kayak would never flip in an extreme tide or wave.
@@ST-hs7vz I remember! I wanted to call over to the two of you and share the reef. Those fish were holding in a small area. Lucky to have it marked on the GPS. Hope to see y’all out there next time and share notes. Good luck ahead and enjoy!

@@ST-hs7vz Sorry I have 2 anchors.
This one is 8 lb. Pretty standard for kayaks.
I recommend 8 over 5.
