  • Boker has been making knives for many years. This knife is from the Boker Plus line, my favourite Boker brand. Chad Los Banos is the police officer from Hawaii who designed this knife and its siblings.
The Worldwide is a knife that is designed to be legal and appealing to the widest possible range of people in the most countries possible.
With a non locking blade under 3 inches that needs two hands to deploy the blade you will be hard pressed to find a country where this knife is illegal.

beast of a knife, careful on opening and closing. I've removed the clip and made a snake knot lanyard...love it.

Oh man, I feel a bit embarassed about some of my old stuff, but I leave it up anyway, they might help some guys with decisions to buy older models.

this is a much better choice than the Lansky World Legal. The latter has a blade design that the sheeple will view as scary. And at least here in many U.S. areas, if a police officer feels "scared" with you having it, they can take it even though it is 100% legal. Of course you won't be charged and you can get it back at the station, but what a hassle. This boker is not like that. An officer would have to have an especially diseased mind to view this knife as scary.

I have held the World Legal but I have not had it in my possession to be able to come to any conclusions about it, but it does look a bit more scary, I agree with you there.

A better choice based on appearance, but not for practicality. The Lansky has better steel (9Cr18Mov), arguably a more functional blade shape, a pommel for pounding, a softer back spring, and it costs less than half what the Boker does. As far as confiscation, the only way to ensure either of these knives stays with you is to keep it out of sight. Even if it's 'legal', if law enforcement thinks you're carrying it as a 'weapon', any knife will be confiscated. If I'm worried about appearance, I'd carry my Gerber Pocket Square...folded, it looks more like a supersized USB stick than a knife. It's technically not 'world legal', but it's as unobtrusive as they come.

I have had both. I prefer the Boker. I prefer the blade shape for versatility for the types of tasks I perform most often. It's a tad less bulky, too.
Regarding appearance: Before I moved to the Free State of AZ where there are no restrictions on what can be carried and where the police have far less latitude to confiscate based on discretion, I lived in Commufornia. Both knives are legal there, but I also carried a Swiss Army Knife for most tasks that were in the public eye.

another great knife from Chad the Bathroom. lol. just kidding. (not going thru that again)
good luck trying to get on a plane in the U.S. with it other than checked baggage.

Just don't move to Hawaii and you should be fine.
Legal to carry and legal in a plane are two totally different things. I wouldn't even try to get a sharp tongue onto a plane.
