I just started wearing blazers and I think a brooch would be fantastic for the lapel. Thanks for the tip. Edited 10 months later and I now have at least 10 brooches! They're my new obsession.
Beth! I have an idea for a video.....would you consider sharing with us how-to’s on closet organizing and products that help us keep our closets organized and our clothes properly stored (tee shirts and sweaters ~ to hang or not to hang, that is the question). I so look forward to your blog and videos! Learning much, reinventing outfits and pieces in my wardrobe and passing on some tips I’ve learned from you!
I enjoyed your video. I have a number of brooches but never remember to wear them. I'd like to see a video on decorating. How much are people using wallpaper, what's the current trend on window dressing, paint colors, etc.
Another helpful video, love to accessorize with jewelry, scarves or hats, would love to see a video on graphic tshirts and how you would style them thanks
Hi Beth, I'm a pin girl! I received my first vintage pin from my grandmother when I was in High School. It belonged to my Great Grandmother, now my husband and I look for them in antique stores. He's great about adding them to my collection. Thanks for sharing your collection.
This was wonderful! I have been using many of your fashion suggestions. You are helping me add some variety to how I put outfits together. I want a pair of the sling back mules you frequently wear. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hi Beth. You're such a classy gal. Great idea for fashion tips- I have a few pins and do love to wear them with unexpected pieces of clothing. Thank you for sharing! XO
Hmm! I guess I can dig out all those brooches I have now. I used to just save them for dressy dresses. No more! I agree with Claire. I'VE got some pretty scarves I'd like some new ideas on.
Great video. I also adore brooches and have been collecting them forever. My tip is not about brooches but shoe clips. They look like big earrings that attach to the top of shoes. Sometimes when I tuck my pant legs into mid-length boots I attach the shoe clips to either the top, sides, or back of the boots. I really like how this looks, however, you need to be careful not to accidentally lose one or them. Sometimes a long coat catches on it so only wear with shorter length coats. Also, be careful when crossing your legs. I also love Joan Rivers bee brooches and have a few.
Beth, I hadn’t thought of requesting a brooch/pin video but I’m sure going to use your suggestions. I really like your thinking outside the pin box. Super helpful video!
Hi Beth ! I love brooches too. Brooches and earrings are my very favorites. Thanks for doing a jewelry video. Have a great weekend. Show more of oscar! 🐶🙋
I love brooches, especially vintage. The history of costume jewelry in America is quite interesting. Many manufacturers such as Coventry, Trifari, etc. used to hire their own designers and created quality items. Some of the designers used to previously work for couture firms such as Cartier! Unfortunately, around the early 1980's, these small businesses were snatched up in corporate buyouts (for instance, Liz Claiborne bought out Trifari), the designers were dispensed with, and a mass market audience was targeted. But with no quality, most of the firms went out of business. One designer of quality affordable jewelry today is R.J. Graziano.
Greetings Beth, I have a vintage pin that belonged to my Great Grand Mother that I wear on a blue Jean jsckect, however I well try the pin with some other jackets as well. Thanks for your great ideas. Best Wishes, Marty Kozee Masden😉
Do you like KennethJayLane boa he’s? My favorite is a bonsai motif. Everyone notices it. I’ve been looking at re-selling sites, but I haven’t been able to find another one anywhere. Must be one I should definitely hold onto!
I’ve always loved brooches and collect them from family. My Granny is (96) and she’s given me a few😊 Do you wear them on the left or right? I’ve not heard that yet.
Those are keepers from your dear Granny to pass down someday to your grandchildren when that time comes. :) Wear them how you feel they speak to you. Hold them dear, as you wear them, remember her. :)
I do not wear brooches - I love them, but I worry I will ruin whatever I wear it on with large pin holes. Am I worrying for no reason? Any tips/advice or should I just go for it? :)
Check the pin itself providing it it pointed it should be ok. I have brought pins and then found the pin is blunt these are ok with wool or wide weave fabric. In all cases don't push the pin through if there is resistance move the pin a little and try again the pin should move the weave not go through a strand. I love my broaches and can't imagine not wearing them they bling up my work wear and jackets in general. So go for it
I seriously font understand WHY the HECK it's called a Borach like Roach but with a "B" but yet it has two "O's" in it?! I'm fully convinced that it's actually called a BrOOOch lmao not a BROACH BUT lmao cuz that's how it's should be spelt!! Haha
It is Chanel; not Cheenel. Talking about style and not pronouncing names properly is totally incompatible with style, or, doesn't show style at all... it's not that difficult for the word Chanel...
you're absolutely right, it isn't that hard to pronounce. which is why i did utter the word chanel not chenille. but hey, everyone has a perspective. oui?
I love large cocktail rings so I buy vintage pins and pendents remove the backs and glue them onto a ring base and voila a great signature ring!
Frugal Mama omg thank you so much for this idea

I love placing pins on structured hats and purses
I would like to see your take on how to tie scarves, especially the warmer fall-winter variety.
Claire Germain Nail .
I enjoyed watching this video. I inherited some really nice brooches from my grandmother and didn't really think of all these options to wear them.
You are so welcome!
I love brooches and pins, I have many! I put them on my scarfs, my shoes, and even add to my hair clips!

I always wear a broach on all my winter jackets. I like your idea to wear it on the denim and scarf. Thanks 😊
I love your style and feel that you are a fabulous 60!
Another helpful video, love to accessorize with jewelry, scarves or hats, would love to see a video on graphic tshirts and how you would style them thanks
Love pins and brooches but haven't worn them in years. This video has inspired me to dig mine out and have fun with them. Thank you!
Ooh, I love the idea of adding a brooch to a plain clutch. I am going to do this for a wedding next month.

Lots of great vintage brooches to be found on Etsy.com, as well, especially the rhinestone-encrusted ones from the "Mad Men" era.
Love brooches but worry about ruining fabrics. Any tips? Thanks, Beth, love the video & you look fabulous!

Can I wear a single large brooch on a turtleneck?
Can we wear a broch along with an organizational badge? I mean both can b worn at the same place?

@@vickyrushton1783 put some felt backing against your skin and pin thru the fabric od your clothes and the felt. Prevents holes.

Such a chic lady!
wonderful suggestions - thanks for sharing! ~k

Handbags would be a nice video to see from you. Please see what you can do. Thanks !

EBay is a great place to look for pins/brooches. You can search by brand or by category, such as animals, flowers, color, etc.
Thank you for this , you are absolutely beautiful all the way around. Love kitty
You are Simply Devine! Thank you. Clapping from Norfolk, VA!
I really love brooches but the sad part is... you only "can wear them" during winter.
I don't like to see a brooch on a shirt or t-shirt... 😔🤔
For some reason I always feel like my grandmother when I put on a brooch.
Me me wants a bro-oche
When are pearls appropriate with denim, ever? 🤓
I think pearls can be worn with denim ... a white open neck blouse, multi strand pearls...chic and casual mix ...yum

Is it Brooch...or Broach?
@@MommaBIGSS-fu1je the phonetic spelling in the dictionary indicates that, oddly enough, "brooch" should rhyme with "coach; not with "smooch". ;-)
