You are so right. I workout at home with Zumba, walking a full mile, and strength training for seniors. I am 80 years young and wear trendy clothes that look good on me. That makes me feel younger and makes me happy…
Bravo Beth. I am 83 years old and have been criticized for dressing too young. I also have been doing yoga for years. Jeans are a real staple in my wardrobe.
I am just turning 61 in a few days.....I am delighted to know you women are continuing to dress in clothing pieces you LOVE ❤️ You are being a great example for confidence and relevance for all women!
“You look tired.” I wish people would stop using this comment. I do NOT need their analysis of my appearance. They are trying to be sympathetic. It just annoys me.😡I feel great but my age on my face is catching up to me. GET OVER IT!
Great comment. Agree. Another one (I heard it about other ladies, sometimes about some bloggers): "You look good, but you have sad eyes" (implying that something is happening in the life of a woman). These kind of comments are not good at all! I feel not comfortable for those ladies and for those who make such a comment.
I know from personal experience I looked sad for quite some time when Mr. Style was battling cancer and after his death. Life is written on our faces and that's okay. Thanks for sharing.
@@BethDjalaliI’ve always told my son, wrinkles and smile lines are the road map to my life, a privilege denied to many, I’ll take them and wear with honor!!
Fabulous. At 70 I have taken my wardrobe in hand. Thrown out stained, snagged, over washed and miss shaped clothes. Having such fun wearing the reminder of my wardrobe. Wearing clothes every day that I had been keeping for best and special occasions. ❤❤❤❤
I'm 78 and very active in my city activities and committees. I enjoyed your age appropriate video. Keeping my business look is important to me. Staying casual but looking good is what I look for. Thank you for all your ideas.
In fact I heard you look good for your age , I’m 64 years old, witch is not that old , the society embraces youngness , and we become invisible. Fashion is a form of expression for me and so many women and I use it , so let people talk ❤thank you for the video really appreciates you and your channel .😊
Right on girl. I'm 78 and all my life I've been told that I wear the strangest things. I just smile and say I prefer to call it unique. I love style and color. I don't dress for anyone but myself. I always look nice, mostly I get compliments but ever now and then someone trys to tell what color or style is appropriate for my age as they stand there in their frumpy style. I just smile and go on. I want to look my best everyday. I am a child of the Most High God and I feel He wants me to be the very best I can be everyday.
Loved this video. I’m always accused of being over dressed. Trust me I’m not! I do dress for the occasion but I always have an unexpected element in my outfit. I’m 64 and live in a very casual community( dare I say sweatsuits to the symphony!) Not happening here! I will dress as I please and wear what makes me happy. You never know when it’s your last day so use the good stuff! Thanks for setting us seniors FREE!😬❤️
Gee! I wonder if you and I live in the same town! Everything you said is exactly what it's like where I live. I'll bet you see the same "uniform" I see too: Poor fitting jeans, over-sized hoodies and baseball style caps...yes to places like the symphony or live theatre! (Only difference is I'm older than you are and I've yet to consider myself a "senior" 🤣 I got that from my dad who only started taking 'senior discounts' at age 75. He lived to 92 years old. 🥰)
@ lol! I always thought 65 was the official senior citizen age and I’m almost there, but I like your attitude! I’m upping my number to 92! Yep the uniform is alive and well here!😬
I live on the coast in Texas. My area is very relaxed! I dress as the occasion calls for & not in baggy jeans, sweats, etc. There’s is a place & time for extremely casual. I was shocked when we moved to area, I was interviewed for a nice office job by a man in cut off shorts, flip flops & a t-shirt! And the gentleman was older than me at the time.
Thanks for this comment! I’m generally the most overdressed at my casual, contemporary church (which I dearly love attending) but I was raised to dress “Sunday best” so I do and don’t care what anyone might or might not think. It’s a part of my worship.
I'm 83 and have lost a lot of weight, on purpose. I can wear trendy clothing now and am having a lot of fun (maybe too much) watching all the videos and incorporating nice things into my new wardrobe. I have nice jeans, dress pants, striped and plain with lots of varied colored t-shirts, a white and a grayish pair of sneakers; loafers, a blazer, a couple of lady cardigans that will probably work well for several years, I think. They are all pretty classic. I do plan on being around long enough for them to wear out. 😊
Who are these "fashion police"? Beth you are an inspiration. My feeling is if people don't like what I wear then don't look!!! I will wear what makes me feel good and happy. ❤❤❤❤
Yay to getting rid of “…for your age”, “trying too hard”, and all the other put downs and not exactly compliments some women use on other women. I’m 75, keep up with trends that work for me and have jeans and boots and sneakers and get real compliments all the time. I work out daily AND have a trainer. Things haven’t be easy, several back surgeries and a shoulder surgery in the last 3 years, but I get up every day and put my “war paint “ on, get dressed and move. Thanks Beth for saying these things.
I teach high school and love to put my style out for my students to see! I get lots of compliments and hopefully they see how happy I am when I feel good about my health and fashion choices!
I absolutely love your videos! I'm 56yrs old and I changed my entire lifestyle last year, lost 70lbs, and I'm in the best shape and health ever! This year I want to focus on exercise and transforming my wardrobe, that's where you come in! I love all of your advice! Happy New Year!!
Good for you! You are a prime example that it's never too late for anything. And I'm glad your health is your #1 priority. Everything else will fall into place! Happy New Year!
OMG this is one of my favorite videos ever from all the influencers I watch. I always love your videos but at age 68 this one made me smile, cheer and I even yelled “YES” a time or two. I wish all older women could and would watch this video. Step out of the old fashioned words, beliefs and stereotypes of the “older woman. “ YAY BETH!!! I feel like I burnt my bra. lol. Happy New Year and thanks for the amazing feeling I have now.
Love your videos!!! 😂🎉❤ At 72, I still like the classics... basically, I love your style!!! But I don't give a hoot about what people think of me!!! I'm happy where I'm at... learning to love even my wrinkles!!! Thank you Beth, from a California Gramma ❤️
Beth, I just turned 58 and every word you spoke is truth. I literally am going to wear what I love, I don’t care what “they” say. I’ve never met they and I could care less what they are saying😂 You’ve taught me so much and I actually get compliments now! So thank you!😊
I got the sweetest complement from my granddaughters college roommate at Christmas. She told me that she hoped that she was cool looking & full of energy when she gets to my age. I'm 69, will be 70 this March. I dressed appropriately for my age but add some little pop of color or trend. I exercise and my granddaughters keep me young feeling & full of energy. As my grandmother taught me, age is only a number & you're as young as you feel, but always dress & act as a lady should. She was a wise woman.
Thank you Beth. I'm 64 and try to look stylish. I love that a lot of the old norms are out the window. I dress in a classic fashion but I do like experiment with trends. At this time in my life I want to feel good in my own skin. Thanks for the pep talk.
You are so beautiful!! I am 62 but I love beautiful clothes and I feel better about myself now more than ever. My children are grown and now I have more time for myself.
Thank you! Life is short, do what makes you happy! This is my favourite kind of video- where you speak directly, with a plan, but not a script. This is the best kind of “influencing”, encouraging others to be their best selves, whatever that looks like for them. Well done!
Agree 100%. Now if you could address the whole GREY HAIR stereotype. I find some people are either for or totally against it. They seem to associate it with aging and/or giving up. Rediculous. Going grey is very freeing. Less time & money spent on fighting it especially when it comes in with a vengeance. Time to embrace it!11
Agree! When I see women with the skunk look, I wonder why they even bother. Usually, I can tell when a woman has dyed her hair, and it's not very flattering. I have a friend who was dying her hair. Then she decided to get rid of the dye and go all grey/white. She styled it very nicely, and I think it looks 10X nicer than when it was dyed.
Lovely Beth. You look fab. Happy New Year. My personal approach at70 is, if I wake up and everything works I will dress my 5'1", 100 lb. body any way I feel like. Not stubborn, I have never cared about trends or opinions. So do what makes you happy and confident ladies and gents. Your life, your rules.🌺🌻🌼😌
I’m 61 and have heard the most of these comments from my mother all through my life. She would make negative comments and I ignored it but it was a drag. She is now 87 and barely a walk. To me she always acted old even as long as I can remember but her mother was my positive role model who knew style. She passed away when I was 9 but her influence on style was a very positive for me. I wonder sometimes if women say these things about themselves at influence of their mothers? I went gray 3 years ago and love it. Found out brighter pops of color really are better.
I couldn't agree more with taking those phrases out of our lives - we are vibrant, beautiful, confident women and don't need anyone to judge us! Beth you always look fabulous and I get so much inspiration from your blog and posts - including trying out the off the shoulder/one shoulder look and loving it! Thank you for your truth telling.
I enjoyed your video. Thank you. I’m 76 years young and for the past few years I’ve been growing my hair which is now around the middle of my shoulder blades. I’ve heard the expression ‘Women should have short hair as they age’ come up in conversations. I find I can do more with my hair now it’s long that when I wore it short. Much easier to manage and can change styles at whim. I certainly don’t look the image of an old granny. Having long hair is something I’ve always wanted and now I’m loving it. 🙏😊
Good for you!!! I'm 72... let my dark brown hair go natural about 5 years ago... then let that beautiful white hair grow 18"!!! Last year went to a bob... you go girl!!! I don't care how people like what I wear or what I look like! Thanks for sharing!!! A California Gramma 🎉😂❤
What a thoughtful video! At 68 i so agree! And thank goodness you recommend COLOR. So many women wear all black or all neutrals all the time. Color has so much to do with mood and joyful dressing! Putting my best appearance forward is one of the fun things in my life. Always has been. At 28, 48 and 68 !
Great video, Beth. I am 73 and I am still loving my denim. I still want to look a little edgy with my hair style and my clothes. Adding color is a great suggestion that I will take to heart since I have been buying a lot of navy and gray lately.
First of all- when I turned 50, my body wasn't the same, and that's the reason I decluttered my closet . I always loved fashion and my style was very classic but recently decided to use more colours- love how red looks on me. Yes, I get some odd looks from time to time, but that doesn't bother me. If I feel good, comfortable in whatever I am wearing it is fine with me. And I realised that somebody else's opinion doesn't matter.
New subscriber to your channel and enjoyed it, thanks! I’m 65 and love mixing classic with trends, I’ve been playing with some boho chic the last year and am getting lots of compliments on the clothing. I’ll keep being me and that’s what works best !🎉
You might be wearing colors that don't compliment your skin and hair tone. Consider getting a color analysis done. It's a game changer!
Місяць тому+2
Also I'm turning 80. I tend to wear classic more neutral subdued colors. That's my style anyway. No prints or loud colors like I wore inthe '70's 80's. Best to wear colors that blend w/ skin tone next to face.
I would disagree. You can rock colors, whether they be bright and bold or neutral. Don't worry about the 70s - no one owns an avocado refrigerator or harvest gold anymore. But it's important to see what colors are on trend and incorporate them into our wardrobe.
You are such an inspiration! I turned 60 this year and want to feel and look better. You're fashion style is exactly what I aspire to but I live on the ocean in a small community. I still get up every day, put on makeup, but I miss "dressing up" every day! I will be watching you! Youre very classy and chic❤
Thank you for your sweet words. Remember that putting on a nice outfit makes YOU feel good. It's hard when no one else around you has the same attitude but you be you!
Beth, I only found you about a year ago and love your attitude and your videos. My daughters tell me not to dress too old! I agree with you that you have to wear what makes you feel confident and there is no substitue for fit! You have inspired me to try some preppy looks and faux leather pants this fall. As for exercise, I worked as a physical therapist for 30 years. Exercise is not just for physical health, we have research that shows that it helps our brains and slows decline!
I have lived a healthy and fitness centered lifestyle since my late 20’s. Now, at approaching 74 years old next week, my size 0-2 body and weight of 112 lbs. at 5’2” height allows me to dress youthful, in very fitted clothes. I do not wear midriff baring or mini skirts but always dress for my body. My age has been guessed by numerous people as 50, so to shave off a quarter of a century is fine with me. Health wise: no problems, no meds. 6 days a week of hard core strength and cardio has given me the fountain of youth, coupled with healthy eating.
I admire how comfortable you are with your body, Beth. I saw a picture of myself wearing a sleeveless top a couple of years ago, and I cringed! My upper arms looked huge! Ever since, I've boycotted sleeveless tops and dresses. I can't get past that.
There again, if you aren't feeling comfortable or confident wearing a particular item then don't. But don't let a photo dictate how you feel. We've all taken plenty of bad photos throught the years. There are entire UA-cam or Instagram accounts devoted to posing in photos. Happy New Year!
The algorithm brought me here and wowza I am impressed by your advice and delivery. Subscribed. Thank you as someone who has experienced ageism and immediately called it out, I refuse to be treated poorly because of my gender or my age. Mwah!
Loved and needed this video!!! Turning 66 soon and I have been feeling down and anxious about “am I wearing appropriate styles, Make up and hair styles! I do work out and have always been physically active and it amazes me when women say-why are working out at your ages. Honestly!!! Hahah! Loved the video!
At 62, I find myself incorporating trends with timeless more and more. It revitalizes your classic wardrobe to make you love your clothes your classic clothes more. Great video, Beth! Thanks for sharing your tips with us.
I just found you 🤗. Love the saying “clothes have sizes not ages” ❤👍😘. I am about to b 61, started my exercising last year, I like to still wear shorts, sleeveless and now so many off the shoulder tops…love. I notice when I see another woman of any age and size, when she feels she is rockin it-she is! Love your content👍
At age 71, it makes me laugh when people struggle to say politely, you don't look it. I assure them that I don't mind looking my age: I am proud to have reached it, still fit and well. I have lived a life full of ups and downs and challenges, and don't care if it shows. My hair is all white but well cut. I wear no makeup except a touch of lipstick. I walk, cycle, do yoga and swim in the sea. I buy and cook fresh vegetables and organic meat. Take pleasure in dressing every day
I was watching a different youtuber’s videos about age appropriate styles and trends. When she said that we should stop wearing perfume and cologne because it’s offensive I was shocked. When she said that if we really have to have some scent, we should just wear scented deodorant I had to laugh. So, if we are older it’s offensive to smell like fine perfume but ok to smell like scented deodorant ? 😆. This was a great video and I agree with all of your points. What’s your take on leggings? I have a ton of nice ones. I’m tall and pretty slim. I like them and am tempted to wear them even though everybody seems to say it’s a no-no.
I think leggings are a great choice especially if you are tall and slim. I like them in the winter for warmth as well as a casual vibe. Thanks for stopping by!
Love your comments. I also believe wear what you feel comfortable in. I love your style. I can’t stand when people say they not trying to look young. It’s about wearing what looks good on your body and looking current.
Great video! One other thing that I think plagues older women is the dressing to hide our weight or feeling fat in everything which might be the underlying thing around not showing arms or knees. Like it's a character flaw to age. I never feel this way in other countries so we need to start the revolution here.
Excellent vlog. There’s no age on women’s clothes only a size, if it fits , it suits me and makes me feel good, I will wear it. Great advice regarding style x
Thanks for this video. I love to express myself with what I wear. I always have. I am still the same person I have always been. I believe all women can be attractive at every age. Fashion is fun and I pick and choose what appeals to me and is flattering. I love bright colors, polkadots, stripes, checks and patterns. I love accessories too. Why would I stop wearing flattering outfits my whole life. I always get compliments. Again, thanks for your thoughts
We get these crazy mixed messages: “look like you made an effort (or “polished, or “put-together” and “try to look effortless”. It’s simply impossible to take any of this seriously. The only advice that works is “wear what makes you feel most beautiful, confident and comfortable”.
My favourite thing to hear from women my age is: “Grey hair looks good on you but, I could never do it.” I take it as a backwards compliment. After chemo, I decided I was not going to put all that garbage on my head anymore. Best decision ever. So liberating.
Happy New Year Beth. I think this was my favorite video and for me super timely. I have recently (it took about 18 months ) lost 35 lbs and I have been having so much fun with my wardrobe. I have always loved a classic with a twist sometimes. My feeling is that if you are wearing something and feel confident and beautiful you will pull off anything you want. I love to incorporate a trend here and there or a pop of unexpected color or something just plain fun. No such thing as age appropriate, I have always asked myself “is it appropriate for me and my lifestyle “.
Good for you! Our health is so important and you're reaping the benefits in more ways than one. Isn't it FUN to experiment with your wardrobe?! Thanks for stopping by!
Beth, you hit on every point here! My favorite clothes are classic by design - but I believe all women should choose clothes that flatter them and make them feel good. We have an age bias in our country - all women 60 and above are not usually described as looking good - but rather - good for their age. We don’t ever hear comments like that about men. At 68, I’m dressing for myself, period. I think everyone should exercise - the endorphins alone are worth it! Thanks for reminding us all to tune out the noise and have fun with our fashion choices. ❤
Glad you mentioned endorphins! That's the benefit of a good workout! Love how you embrace fashion and age but I wouldn't expect anything different from you. Happy New Year!
You touched on many issues that have been on my mind. I am nearing 70 and have gotten to do the point where I don’t need permission to be or do whatever I want. If not now when? Great video. Happy New Year!
In my mid-50s I started vigorous daily walks to clear stubborn “chest wall pain” from a respiratory infection. To my amazement, the excess weight just came off me without changing my diet. I kept it up and lost 50 lbs. over about five years. I have a serious back problem and walking is all I can do for exercise, but it’s enough. My health is better than in my 20s and I feel good. Start very slowly and easily and build up your time and effort gradually (I increased the number and slope of the hills I walked). If 50 or over, or obese, get a medical, especially cardiac, clearance first, just in case. You might only be able to go around the block at first, but it’s amazing how fast you’ll get stronger! Those who walk daily are healthier, less depressed or stressed, much fitter and live longer. Plus, at a size 14/16 there just wasn’t a good selection of stylish, high-quality, natural-fiber clothes that fit me. The choices seemed to consist of only black polyester “basics”. Now at about a US size 8 (varies by brand and garment from about 4 to 10), I can shop any brand, and clothes, fashion and style are so much fun again.
Thank you for this post Beth. Its so true, we as mature women can absolutely rock amazing fashion and trends at any age! I say find your personal style and run with it 😃 And as we age we do lose muscle mass, so importsnt for us to add a little weight training to our exercise. Loving your platform ❤
I’d love to try get healthy you tv! I’m 70 now and started dressing nicer this year than I ever have before! I love your channel and am a new subscriber!
One thing ive heard is about makeup for older women. That we shouldnt wear eye shadow at all. Or, if wedo wear eye shadow, it should be very muted and beige. We shouldnt wear blush. Thibgs like that. But, i love colir! I rhink that not wearing blush makes me look pale and just blend in with the walls. I have very fair skin and i think pink cheeks are important to help me look alive. I look a plum eye shadow or a gray with sone pink. I agree that matte is best. I live sparkle, but i wear it very sparingly because i think it does enphasize lines and wrinkles. What are your thoughrs on this? This is your first video ive ever found. Do you have any on makeup for older women? Thank you!
Hi, Beth, love this topic! A few years ago a young colleague told me that I was "well preserved". Um, thanks? Anyway, you're always beautiful and enjoyable, and this video was no exception!
I love your videos and information…my frustration has nothing to do with women who are older….., but, young women..early 30’s etc…who don’t care anything about how they look. So many of them dress like teenagers……or younger. Slippers with pajamas out to shop, unkempt hair, the list goes on. Thank you for allowing me to vent.
❤ I love your distinction between being age appropriate vs. appropriate. I agree wearing clothes appropriate to an occasion is what matters. YES … fashion vs. style. You are a perfect example of a lady with great style. Anyone can wear something fashionable or clothes that are ON-TREND but still lack style. Thank you for elaborating on the myth about “trying too hard”!! There is nothing wrong with looking put together… right? Age isn’t an excuse to look fuddy-duddy 😂. Congratulations Beth! 10 years is indeed a milestone and growing better and relevant each step of the way 🎉🎉🎉. Every Saturday when I receive your post, I’m always so interested to know what you have to share. Thank you for being such a great inspiration to US and keeping us young at heart. Blessings and Joy to you this new year. MRS.M❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your kind words! I so appreciate you being here! And you are so right about age isn't an excuse to look fuddy duddy! Happy New Year!
Thank you Beth, for inspiring us older ladies to not give up! I am 63, and struggling with my fashion choices. You look beautiful in everything! My legs used to be my #1 asset. Sadly, the cellulite makes me self conscious and so I only wear shorts around my home. I have opted for skorts, they seem to hide a little more. I remember not to long ago, I wore this beautiful leopard print dress to my church. It was right at the knees, and sleeveless. A younger woman glared at me “like how dare you try to look younger!” Its as if there is only enough room for a younger “Cinderella”. How dare we try and be attractive!😏
I love your videos, I love that this is something you have always stayed true to . Happy New Year ! and will be with you till the end. We rock style like we rock our lives! With grace and honor is how we want to be remembered.
Happy New Year Beth! I agree, I'm not trying to look young again, but I also don't want to look older than my 57 years either.😊 I'm pretty modest in my clothing, but because I'm only 5' 2, my skirts look better above my knees. I look better, and like v neck, and sleeveless blouses too. I would feel sad if someone thought I was older than my age, but maybe thats something I just need to get over. 😊 Thanks for another great video.
Thanks Beth, you are always on point. I’m 68 and I’ve been a stylish person all my life, why would I stop now. I agree with everything you’re saying. Thank you 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿❤️

It's never too late to make positive changes! So I'm happy you started when you started! Thanks for stopping by!
Weight resistance is best and stretching moves, for bone density. Also walking. This can be done without joining a fitness center.

Things haven’t be easy, several back surgeries and a shoulder surgery in the last 3 years, but I get up every day and put my “war paint “ on, get dressed and move. Thanks Beth for saying these things.
Thank you so much for sharing your story! I'm inspired by your determination.
I teach high school and love to put my style out for my students to see! I get lots of compliments and hopefully they see how happy I am when I feel good about my health and fashion choices!
It sounds like you're making a great impact on your students! And that's what we need to do - make an impact. Thanks for stopping by! Happy New Year!
Congratulations!
I’m 57, and I’ve lost almost 30 pounds! I have 20 more to go to reach my goal.
I hope that 2025 will be that year.😊
Good for you! You are a prime example that it's never too late for anything. And I'm glad your health is your #1 priority. Everything else will fall into place! Happy New Year!
That's fantastic news! One step at a time. Before you know it you will have reached your goal. Health is the new Wealth!
@@BethDjalali
Thank you!☺️
@@kimberlyshover5299 congrats! I’m 60 and lost 60 pounds last year! Back to my college weight and having so much fun enjoying fashion in a new way!
That makes me so happy to hear! It's all about living a vibrant life. Happy New Year!
I agree with you 100%. Loved your comment
My mom, at 84 yy, is rocking wide leg jeans that look super cool on her… She’s trendier than I am and I love it! ❤
Beth, I just turned 58 and every word you spoke is truth. I literally am going to wear what I love, I don’t care what “they” say. I’ve never met they and I could care less what they are saying😂 You’ve taught me so much and I actually get compliments now! So thank you!😊
You've got this! Keep rocking your personal style! Happy New Year, Sherri! I always love to hear from you.
Awww, that is so sweet! Thanks for sharing!
Me too! Exactly how i feel!
Thank you! Life is short, do what makes you happy! This is my favourite kind of video- where you speak directly, with a plan, but not a script. This is the best kind of “influencing”, encouraging others to be their best selves, whatever that looks like for them. Well done!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! But believe me, there's always a script otherwise it's way to easy to get off track. Thanks for stopping by!
You put together the most elegant and hip outfits that would work for any age. You also have the most beautiful eyes. Thank you!
Thank you so much! And thanks for being here!
Agree 100%. Now if you could address the whole GREY HAIR stereotype. I find some people are either for or totally against it. They seem to associate it with aging and/or giving up. Rediculous. Going grey is very freeing. Less time & money spent on fighting it especially when it comes in with a vengeance. Time to embrace it!11
Grey hair, is beautiful !
You’ve got it exactly right! It's all about feeling confident in your own skin!
Thanks for sharing!
I agree, wear what makes you feel fabulous and confident!!!
What a positive, uplifting message-thank you.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
I’m so happy to hear that! What a fabulous fashion choice for a vibrant woman! Thanks so much for sharing.
I'm 74 and I love your videos. You are an inspiration to others. Thanks for the encouragement. I love beautiful outfits, They make me feel so good!
That's the spirit! It's all about feeling confident and fabulous. And clothes are the tool to do just that!
Color makes a world of difference! Thanks for stopping by!
I live in South Louisiana and summers are brutally hot and humid. I resent the idea that I need to keep my arms covered. It’s just not an option.
I hear you! I think bare arms are quite sensible especially in the summertime!
Great video, Beth. I am 73 and I am still loving my denim. I still want to look a little edgy with my hair style and my clothes. Adding color is a great suggestion that I will take to heart since I have been buying a lot of navy and gray lately.
I love that you're keeping it edgy, it's all about finding what works for you!
I just quickly listed your 7 tips, in my handwriting and hung in my closet. This will make a positive difference in my social confidence. Thank you❤
My absolute pleasure! Happy New Year!
I love the way you think. I wear what I feel.
It's good to realize what works for you!
New subscriber to your channel and enjoyed it, thanks! I’m 65 and love mixing classic with trends, I’ve been playing with some boho chic the last year and am getting lots of compliments on the clothing. I’ll keep being me and that’s what works best !🎉
Welcome! You have the right idea - keep being you!
Your content guides, encourages and supports me as I turn 80. Thank you for everything you do to help women feel and look attractive! ❤
I’m so happy to hear that! It is my absolute pleasure to share content to help us live our best lives. Happy New Year!
You might be wearing colors that don't compliment your skin and hair tone. Consider getting a color analysis done. It's a game changer!
Photos can be wrong, catching just a moment of your arm flattened against your body. I try a little self tan and that works wonders.
The algorithm brought me here and wowza I am impressed by your advice and delivery. Subscribed. Thank you as someone who has experienced ageism and immediately called it out, I refuse to be treated poorly because of my gender or my age. Mwah!
Welcome! So glad you’re here.
Loved and needed this video!!! Turning 66 soon and I have been feeling down and anxious about “am I wearing appropriate styles,
Make up and hair styles! I do work out and have always been physically active and it amazes me when women say-why are working out at your ages. Honestly!!! Hahah! Loved the video!
You got this!
Agree with what you say. Sometimes our confidence declines with age but we shouldn’t let our personal style be affected by this.
It has to do with having a personal style!!!
At 62, I find myself incorporating trends with timeless more and more. It revitalizes your classic wardrobe to make you love your clothes your classic clothes more. Great video, Beth! Thanks for sharing your tips with us.
Thank you Beth. Great message.
.
Thanks for watching!
I'm sixty seven and I totally agree with everything you've said in this video Beth😊I love this video!!
I'm so happy to hear this! Thanks for stopping by!
Amen, Beth! Wear what compliments your body, your assets, and reflects your personality!
Great pep talk.
Thanks for stopping by!
That’s a fantastic attitude! It’s so much about feeling good in your skin. And welcome to my channel!
I'm 74 ..5' 4" tall weigh 126..exercise since I was 31. I like my leggings. I wear with a longer top that covers my "behind". They are warm.
@@happyme6153
Yes, they are warm and so comfy, especially the fleece-lined ones.
Love your comments. I also believe wear what you feel comfortable in. I love your style. I can’t stand when people say they not trying to look young. It’s about wearing what looks good on your body and looking current.
Exactly! It's all about finding your own style and looking your best!
Style is not an age!
Everything you said made so much sense. You have really helped me be interested in what I wear again!
This is the first time I have seen one of your videos.I came upon your channel by changing I love it 🎉
Thanks for stopping by!
Great video! One other thing that I think plagues older women is the dressing to hide our weight or feeling fat in everything which might be the underlying thing around not showing arms or knees. Like it's a character flaw to age. I never feel this way in other countries so we need to start the revolution here.
Wonderful message.
Thanks for stopping by! I so appreciate it!
Happy New Year!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Happy new year!!
I am a wheelchair user so I have unique challenges and love your spirit.
I only have one hard rule. "No one looks good in shoes that hurt the feet". It was the ONE rule that Iris Apfel handed down to her 'followers'.
Agreed!
Thank you, Beth! Agree 100%
Thanks for stopping by!
Excellent vlog. There’s no age on women’s clothes only a size, if it fits , it suits me and makes me feel good, I will wear it. Great advice regarding style x
Couldn't agree more!
Bravo Beth!!! 👏👏Especially the pops of color! YASS “Fashion should be fun!” I’ll be borrowing that quote ❤
Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for stopping by!
Exactly! It's about expressing your personal style.
We get these crazy mixed messages: “look like you made an effort (or “polished, or “put-together” and “try to look effortless”. It’s simply impossible to take any of this seriously. The only advice that works is “wear what makes you feel most beautiful, confident and comfortable”.
I needed this video today, thank you!
My pleasure!
Love your sassy tone in the beginning of this video. Often there is a lot of internal ageism that we need to unlearn. You are a great role model.
Thank you! It's all about learning to love the skin we're in and celebrating every stage of life.
My favourite thing to hear from women my age is: “Grey hair looks good on you but, I could never do it.” I take it as a backwards compliment. After chemo, I decided I was not going to put all that garbage on my head anymore. Best decision ever. So liberating.
Love the way you own it! And I hope you're doing well!
Love your vidoes❤
Thank you!!!
Love your outfits. You look fabulous.
Thank you so much!
@ And to you!
No statement jewellery is also among my favorites. Only pearls and blazers in beige, please... You made my day.
Good point. Thanks for sharing!
Hello Beth and Happy New Year! You always seem to give me the boast I need! This is why I call you an awesome "sage" and love your channel! Hugs! :)
You're awesome! Happy New Year! Hugs right back!
Beth, I can't agree more, with what you've said!
Yes, where are the deciding committees, as mentioned?
Just don't stop trying!
❤😎
Exactly! We can never stop trying or experimenting with fashion. Happy New Year!
You touched on many issues that have been on my mind. I am nearing 70 and have gotten to do the point where I don’t need permission to be or do whatever I want. If not now when? Great video. Happy New Year!
You are absolutely right! That's what it's all about! Love "if not now, when?"
Thanks! Your comment were on point.😊❤
You are so welcome!
I say find your personal style and run with it 😃
And as we age we do lose muscle mass, so importsnt for us to add a little weight training to our exercise.
Loving your platform ❤
Absolutely!! And thanks for sharing about weight training. It's so important to add that to our exercise routine. Thanks for being here!

Welcome to the channel! Let me know your thoughts about GHUTV! Health is the new wealth!
Thank you!
Thank you for your words. Age appropriate is whatever makes me feel comfortable and confident.
That is exactly right!
Hi, Beth, love this topic! A few years ago a young colleague told me that I was "well preserved". Um, thanks? Anyway, you're always beautiful and enjoyable, and this video was no exception!
Thank you! I think the best "preservation" is being happy and confident, which sounds like you are! People sometimes...
Happy New Year!
You have a valid point!
Agree with you completely....HAPPY, HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR to you and yours❤😊
Happy New Year! Beth looks wonderful, at some photos I even felt vibe of Diana (princess Diana) - thought there is some resemblance.
Happy New Year! Thank you for the best compliment! I think we all wonder what Princess Diana would look like today.
You're fabulous! I love your you tube content. Thanks Beth!
That's so sweet, thank you for watching!
Thank you Beth....lovely ideas❤❤❤❤
You are so welcome!
I love your videos, I love that this is something you have always stayed true to . Happy New Year ! and will be with you till the end. We rock style like we rock our lives! With grace and honor is how we want to be remembered.
Thanks for your kind words. It's all about living a vibrant life
Happy New Year Beth!
I agree, I'm not trying to look young again, but I also don't want to look older than my 57 years either.😊
I'm pretty modest in my clothing, but because I'm only 5' 2, my skirts look better above my knees.
I look better, and like v neck, and sleeveless blouses too.
I would feel sad if someone thought I was older than my age, but maybe thats something I just need to get over. 😊
Thanks for another great video.
My pleasure! And it's never about how young we look - we are all aging at our own unique pace - be we want to embrace a youthful look. Happy New Year!
I'm 61. I'm with you on fashion! I want to look fabulous at all ages!
Thanks Beth, you are always on point. I’m 68 and I’ve been a stylish person all my life, why would I stop now. I agree with everything you’re saying. Thank you 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿❤️
Love that! Happy New Year!
You are so right!
