Nice work on this video tour Kirk! I have an ’04 with 250,000 miles and she looks and drives like she has 30,000 miles! I will mention a few things that I noticed in the video… the steel mesh vents at the outside D-pillar you pointed out are actually pressure equalizers that allow air to escape the cabin when closing the doors, all modern cars use them since cabins are sealed so tightly these days but most have them hidden under the wheel wells so this is just another cool detail that shows how Toyota/Lexus thinks for themselves when it comes to design. Also, if the timing belt was done 100,000 ago it is due for another one as they should be done every 90,000 miles. The “rear vent” buttons don’t close the HVAC vents but rather open and close the rearmost side glass panels for fresh air ventilation. The 6-disc CD changer has a DVD logo on it meaning you can also watch movies on the Nav screen as long as you’re in “Park” and the e-brake is pulled up. The steps on each side of the second row seat is to allow access to the third row, as are the handles nearby. The unit on the back of the center console is for rear passengers to listen to the radio station of their choice independent from the front using headphones. You’re right that the “speak assist” button on the steering wheel doesn’t work great but it does handle simple commands like saying “68-degrees” and it will auto-adjust for you. Tire pressures should be 29psi front and 35psi rear, many people and even dealers put them all to 35psi which causes some front end floating at highway speeds. If your Nav is hard to see with the brightness all the way up be sure to also adjust the contrast. The mirrors actually do fold down when you reverse but you need to set the mirror button to “L” or “R” to activate the function. I love Sand Dollar Pearl, a very unique color. Good luck to you, if you want one you will get one my friend!
